Abstract

Integrating cultural context into teaching and learning activities can help students understand the material. However, the development of teaching materials that integrate local cultural contexts is still not widely practiced. This study aims to (1) describe the results of exploring the architecture of the Grand Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon as a teaching material for mathematics, (2) determine students' responses to the mathematics teaching material resulting from the exploration of the architecture of the Grand Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon, and (3) determine the difference in mathematics learning outcomes before and after using the mathematics module. This study applied the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). In the architecture of the Grand Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa, concepts of two-dimensional shapes such as triangles and quadrilaterals were found, including squares, rectangles, trapezoids, and rhombuses. The expert validation results show that the developed mathematics module is highly feasible to implement, with percentages of content, presentation, and language feasibility aspects reaching 88%, 90%, and 89% respectively. Students' responses to the mathematics module were categorized as good (71%). Paired sample t-test results show that students' learning outcomes before and after using the developed mathematics module are significantly different, with higher learning outcomes after using the mathematics module compared to before its use. Thus, the mathematics module resulting from the exploration of the architecture of the Grand Mosque of Sang Cipta Rasa Cirebon can be implemented in learning to improve mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Qur'an is the holy book of Muslims, encompassing not only guidance for faith but also various fields of knowledge, including mathematics. One of the relevant branches of mathematics is algebra, which serves as an analytical tool to understand religious commands, particularly in the management of infaq. This study aims to analyze the connection between algebraic concepts and Qur'anic verses related to infaq using a literature review approach. The lack of prior research integrating algebra and verses on infaq motivated this study. The findings identify six algebraic concepts applicable to the calculation, management, and distribution of infaq, supported by Qur'anic verses, tafsir, and empirical data from institutions such as BAZNAS. The study focuses on variables, coefficients, and constants in algebra and their application to obligatory and voluntary infaq. The analysis demonstrates that algebraic concepts can simplify calculations and facilitate infaq management while reinforcing the link between science and Islamic values. This research contributes to motivating individuals to give infaq by understanding its essence and the remarkable rewards described in the Qur'an. The findings also offer new insights into the utilization of algebra to support a more systematic and practical management of infaq in the modern era.

Abstract

TheQur'an is a reference for all numbers such as odd and even. Even odd numbers are numbers that Allah SWT likes and even numbers are the complement of odd numbers. The Qur'an contains many miracles including the miracle of the number 19 and many letters that describe the pattern of multiples of 19 in terms of words, letters and verses, one of the letters related to the number 19 is Surah Al-'Alaq. This study aims to find mathematical patterns and the meaning of numbers contained in Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5. Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5 were chosen because they have content and privileges. Al-'Alaq is the first revelation of the Nabi Muhammad SAW, this letter has hidden messages and values of education, divinity, and reasoning. So that humans can continue to learn and understand what they do not know. This type of research is descriptive qualitative which reveals the mathematical patterns contained in Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5 described or presented using numbers with the literature study method. The data used are the arrangement numbers in Surah Al-'Alaq 1-5. The results of the study found that there are 5 patterns in Surah Al-'Alaq verses 1-5 and there are multiples of 3. Mathematical patterns are important for understanding, they can help students solve problems and identify relationships in various contexts.

Abstract

This study analyzes literature on halal transportation and occupational health and safety (OHS) using a bibliometric approach. A bibliometric analysis was chosen because it systematically maps research trends, identifies key contributors, and highlights thematic linkages, providing a comprehensive overview of the field. Halal transportation integrates Islamic principles into transportation operations, while OHS ensures the health and safety of workers and users. The study retrieves data from Google Scholar, Dimensions, and ScienceDirect using Publish or Perish and VOSviewer to evaluate trends, geographical distribution, and topic linkages. The results indicate that halal transportation research primarily focuses on halal logistics, whereas studies on the operational aspects of non-food goods transportation remain limited. Research on OHS within halal transportation is also scarce, particularly in integrating halal standards with OHS regulations. Malaysia and Indonesia have been the main contributors to this field, with an increasing publication trend since 2010. The main research clusters include "halal logistics," "occupational health and safety," and "sustainability.". This study emphasizes the importance of developing operational standards for halal transportation that incorporate process halalness, worker health and safety, and resource efficiency. It recommends using modern technology, such as IoT, to enhance halal tracking and risk mitigation. By bridging the gap between halal transportation and OHS, this research provides valuable insights for policymakers, industry practitioners, and academics to develop more comprehensive and effective standards. The findings serve as a foundation for future studies on the intersection of transportation operations and OHS.

Abstract

Bipolar Disorder (BD) is a mental disorder characterized by recurrent manic and depressive episodes. This study aims to build a mathematical model that models mood changes in BD type 2 before and after psychotherapy. Daily mood data were collected for more than 3 months from one BD patient, then divided into seven terms of 14 days each. The analysis was carried out through a sinusoidal function fitting process and numerical simulation based on the Van der Pol differential equation. The results showed that before psychotherapy, the mood amplitude reached 1.99632, the frequency was 0.4926, and the moment of inertia was 4.121081. After undergoing routine psychotherapy 9 times, the amplitude decreased to 0.635, the frequency increased to 1.052, and the moment of inertia decreased to 0.903584. The average mood was controlled at 6.492, within the normal mood range. The decrease in amplitude and moment of inertia indicated that BD mood became more stable and less easily affected by the environment, while the increase in frequency indicated a faster recovery of emotional rhythm. Conclusion: Routine psychotherapy is effective in quantitatively stabilizing the mood of BD type 2.
