Abstract

Abortion is an important problem in public health because it affects maternal morbidity and mortality, the aim of this research is to analyze the correlation between maternal age and parity with the incidence of abortion. The research used was Correlation Analytical using a Cross Sectional approach with a population of 40 respondents and a sample of 36 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. By giving questionnaires to USG poly patients in April – May 2023 using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis to test and explain the correlation between the dependent variable and the independent variables using the chi-square test. The results of this study show that the Chi Square test was carried out with a safety level of α = 0.05 and obtained a value of p = 0.009 which is smaller than alpha (0.05). meaning that there is a relationship between maternal age and abortion and it is known that maternal parity with abortion at the Panasea main clinic using the Chi Square test is carried out with a safety level of α = 0.05 and the value of p = 0.066 is greater than alpha (0.05). it mean there is no correlation between parity and abortion. Age and parity are not the only factors that cause abortion because there are other factors that cause abortion, such as nutritional status, anemia, work and other diseases, so it is recommended that midwives improve their services, especially in the first trimester.

Abstract

Perineal tears in normal delivery can be experienced by mothers who give birth to large fetal weight. So that pregnant women need to routinely monitor fetal weight during pregnancy to know the estimated fetal weight, and control a balanced and healthy diet. The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between infant weight and perineal tears in physiological labor at PMB Ana Sawaran Lor. Research design with cross-sectional. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 32 mothers giving birth. Respondent characteristic questionnaire and observation sheet of baby's weight and the incidence of perineal tears. While the test used the chi-square test. The results showed that the majority of mothers who gave birth experienced perineal tears as many as 18 respondents (56.2%). The majority of mothers giving birth have a normal newborn weight of 2500-3500 grams (53.1%). There is a significant correlation between a baby's weight and perineal tears in physiological delivery, namely p-value 0.000. Mothers giving birth with large baby weights are very at risk of experiencing perineal tears. .

Abstract

Antenatal care plays an important role in providing quality care because antenatal care contains components of health, screening, disease diagnosis and prevention. The use of the MCH Handbook for pregnant women is one of the strategies so that mothers care about their pregnancy, including during ANC visits. The research objective was to determine the correlation between the use of the MCH handbook and ANC visits at the Main Panesa Lumajang clinic. This research is a type of correlation analysis research that examines the relationship between variables using a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples is 30 respondents. The test used is Fisher’s Exact Test. Among pregnant women who used the MCH handbook, 22 (73.3%) of them regularly performed ANC, and 1 person (3.4%) of whom did not regularly perform ANC. Of the pregnant women who did not use the MCH handbook, there were no pregnant women who regularly performed ANC, and 7 (23.3%) of them did not regularly perform ANC regularly. The results of the analysis using SPSS obtained the value of p = 0,000 < α = 0.05. The conclusion of the results of this study is that there is a relationship between the use of the KIA handbook and ANC visits to pregnant women at the Main Clinic of Panasea Lumajang. The use of MCH and ANC books is very important to support the health and safety of pregnant women and babies.
