Abstract

Kubu Raya is a district in West Kalimantan Province. It is directly adjacent to Pontianak City, the province's capital. This condition increases mobility and vehicle traffic, resulting in a relatively high accident rate.Traffic accident data came from the Kubu Raya Regency Police Station, and field observations obtained data on road condition and completeness. The analysis methods used are weighting, Z-Score, and CUSUM (Cumulative Summary). The number of accidents in Jalan Raya Kakap during 2020 - 2022 amounted to 26 incidents. The characteristics of traffic accidents on Jalan Raya Kakap for three years (2020 - 2022) are that victims with minor injuries are more than victims of death and serious injuries, namely seven victims in 2020, 8 victims in 2021, and 18 victims in 2022. STA points 0 - 1 have the highest number of accidents during the 3-year period, which is 152 STA points. 2-3 by 129, and point STA. One black spot falls into the high accident vulnerability category: point STA. 0-1. Two black spots fall into the high accident vulnerability category: STA points. 2-3 and STA. 7-8. Four black spots fall into the medium category. Three black spots fall into the low category. Moreover, four points are categorized as not accident-prone.

Abstract

The utilization of stone dust waste produced from PLTU Ketapang coal combustion process is still below optimal level. Produced waste reached ± 23,13 ton /day which consists of 99,5% of fly ash and 0,5% bottom ash. As a result, the writer gained an idea of using fly ash as a filler in bitumen mixture, especially in Hot Rolled Sheet  – BASE (HRS – BASE). The study was aimed to compare fly ash and stone dust if used as filler in Hot Rolled Sheet  – BASE (HRS – BASE) mix in marshall test including void analysis which consistsed of VMA, VIM, VFB, and MQ. The planned test item concentration of tar was on the level of 6%, 6,5%, 7%, 7,5%, and 8%. The mixture which used stone dust as filler resulted in optimum bitumen content of 6,90% and the result of marshall test diplayed 912,072 kg of stability, 3,333 mm flow, 4,306%  VIM, 18,018 % VMA, 82,681% VFB, and 273,745 kg/mm MQ.  In the mixture which used fly ash as the filler resulted in optimum bitumen content of 7,1% with the marshall test displayed 877,132 kg of stability, 3,433 flow, 3,985% of VIM, 18,150% VFB, and the Marshall Quotient (MQ) 255,716 kg/mm.
Performance Evaluation of Signalized Intersections Using MKJI 1997, PKJI 2023, and PTV VISSIM Software (Case Study: Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan-Jl. Tritura-Jl. Sultan Hamid II-Jl. Ya’ M. Sabran) Anissa Putriningtiazti; Heri Azwansyah; Siti Mayuni

Abstract

The intersection of Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan - Jl. Tritura - Jl. Sultan Hamid II - Jl. Ya' M. Sabran is a signalized intersection that often occurs irregularities and long queues so it needs to be evaluated to determine the characteristics of the intersection, intersection performance in existing conditions, intersection performance in the next 5 and 10 years, and alternative treatments that can be done at the intersection. The performance evaluation of the signalized intersection was conducted using the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) method, the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI), and traffic simulation using PTV VISSIM software. In the existing conditions of 2024, the recommended alternative 7 is geometric changes on the north (U), west (B), and east (T) arms accompanied by a ban on right turns on the north approach (U), resetting cycle times, and enforcing direct left turns on the north (U) and west (B) approaches.. In the 2029 projection conditions, the recommended alternative 10 is geometric changes on each arm accompanied by a ban on right turns on the north approach (U), setting cycle times, and enforcing direct left turns on the north (U) and west (B) approaches. In the 2034 projection conditions, the recommended alternative is alternative 14, which is a geometric change on each arm accompanied by a ban on right turns on the north approach (U), setting cycle times, and enforcing direct left turns on the north (U) and west (B) approaches.

Abstract

Road is critical part in transportation system. The existence of road can provide convenient and safe passage for various types of vehicles, including cars, buses, motorcycles and bicycles. The use of road can give impact like performance degradation over time, so there has to be some examinations for road performance. Based on aforementioned fact, this research will conduct road performance analysis using MKJI 1997 and PKJI 2023 method. The degree of saturation and road capacity are the comparison parameter for assessment. The objective of this research will compare the results from both method. Jalan Jendral Ahmad Yani will be the research object. On this road, all requirement data was collected to accommodate the analysis. The data collected was employed to calculate road performance for existing condition. From data of existing condition, Both method was implemented for 5-year projection. The projection was conducted to predict road performance considering the increase of population. The results from both method showed that the existing condition and 5-year projection were not qualified, because the level of service was very low. PKJI 2023 method resulted the higher number than MKJI 1997. This is because the parameter value from both method was stated differently. Considering bad performance of the road, the improvement step was taken to increase all parameters involved in the road performance. The improvement, Like enhancement on road geometric, effectively worked to increase the road performance.
