Abstract

Oshibana is known as a flower processing technique so that it can produce crafts with a drying method without changing the original color of the flowers. Oshibana technique aims to produce handmade products with raw materials that come from nature, are environmentally friendly and have high selling value. Partners in this community service activity are the youth of Padepokan Igra, Kolam Village, Percut Sei Tuan District, North Sumatra. This activity aims to provide information to partners about the potential of home garden plants to be used as creative products with artistic and economic value and to introduce oshibana techniques. The implementation of the activity is carried out using 2 methods, namely the presentation of material and the delivery of information related to the potential of homegarden plants as raw material for industrial products and the direct practice of making oshibana. Through this community service activity, it is hoped that the youth at the Iqra hermitage can increase their insight and knowledge about the use of waste yard plants as raw material for creative artistic and economic products and can create jobs while supporting eco-green programs and save our earth.

Abstract

Coconut waste can be processed into briquettes that can be reused as an alternative fuel that is environmentally friendly. Brickets are blocks of material that can be used as fuel to start and maintain a fire. Kelambir Village, Pantai Labu District, Deli Serdang Regency is one of the villages that has the most coconut plantations and most of the people use coconut plants that grow around it. Kelambir village is known as one of the coconut producing areas, but it has not been used optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to increase understanding and awareness about processing coconut shell brickets through public education in order to increase the value of waste and increase people's income. This training includes the stages of burning, milling/kneading, molding and drying to make charcoal brickets from coconut shells.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is an effort made by a person to maintain personal hygiene to avoid disease. In personal hygiene, cleanliness of hands, teeth and mouth needs to be paid more attention. Hands are the part of the body that comes into direct contact with food and other objects. Preschool students are still prone to putting their hands in their mouths without paying attention to whether their hands are clean or dirty. The aim of this activity is to provide socialization, education and training in the application of personal hygiene through hand washing and tooth brushing activities to Amal Shaleh Perum Kindergarten students. Simalingkar Medan, North Sumatra. The activity was carried out for 2 days, namely on 8 and 12 November 2022. The activity stages consisted of socialization and education, implementation of hand washing and tooth brushing activities as well as singing and dancing activities with kindergarten students. The target of the activity is Amal Shaleh Kindergarten students consisting of 3 classes with an age range of 4-6 years. The activities carried out ran smoothly as seen from the enthusiasm and cooperative attitude of the Amal Shaleh Kindergarten students. With the hope of increasing students' skills, knowledge and awareness in maintaining personal hygiene as an effort to protect themselves from disease attacks.
