Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia occurred in March 2019. The implementation of social and physical distancing has disrupted the economy, one of which is the fisheries sector. One example of the impact on the economic sector is the reduced income of fishermen's families, including anchovy processing fishermen in Hajoran Village. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of Covid-19 on anchovy income and marketing before and after the pandemic in Hajoran. This research was conducted from 21 June to 30 June 2022 in the Hajoran Village. The method used is a survey. Anchovy fishermen consist of 46 people. The research data were obtained through direct observation and documentary interviews. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that both before and after the Covid-19 pandemic had an impact on the income of anchovy processing fishermen, where the average income before the pandemic was IDR 238,913 and after the pandemic was IDR 1,213,043. Apart from that, the Covid-19 pandemic also had an impact on the marketing of anchovies, where before the pandemic the price of anchovies was IDR 60,000/Kg while during the Covid-19 it was only IDR 30,000/kg.

Abstract

The research was carried out in Pulau Cinta, Teluk Kenidai Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This study aims to identify the type of business, and the economic impact of the Pulau Cinta tourist attraction on the people's economy, and analyze the multiple impact value of the Pulau Cinta tourist attraction on the people's economy. This study used a survey method and the respondents were 100 tourists, 42 business owners, and 47 workers. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and retrieval of documentation. The results showed that the types of businesses found in the Pulau Cinta tourist attraction were places to eat and drink, banana boat rentals, ATV motorbikes, and ornamental boats, the impact that occurred changes the livelihoods of the surrounding community due to new jobs in the tourism sector and increases in income, the multiple impact value shows that the Keynesian income multiplier is 1.17, the type I income multiplier ratio is 1.83 and the type II income multiplier ratio is 1.91 which means that Pulau Cinta tourism has an economic impact on the community, especially on people's income local Teluk Kenidai.

Abstract

Rupat island in Riau Province has many beaches as tourist destinations. One of the beaches is Pesona Beach which is located in Teluk Rhu village, North Rupat, Riau Province. This beach has the beauty of white sand that stretches along the coast. This study was conducted in July 2021 with the aim of knowing the tourism suitability index and calculating the carrying capacity of the region to develop into a beach tourism destination. This research method used descriptive and qualitative method then the data is based on the parameters of the Tourism Suitability Index (TSI) and Regional Carrying Capacity (RCC). The final results showed that the tourism suitability index for four categories: beach recreation S2 (appropriate), swimming S2 (appropriate), fishing S1 (very suitable), and boating S1 (very suitable). The regional carrying capacity of the Pesona beach area for tourism activities can accommodate 821 people/day. If there is an excess of visitors, it will have a negative impact on the ecosystem, therefore it is necessary to pay attention to the operation of the tourist area so that it is preserved and sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the potential of the Kampar River ecosystem in Buluhcina Village by analyzing the economic value of its utilization for capturing fisheries. This research was carried out in January 2022 at Kampar River, Buluhcina Village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The research method used was a survey method, and the cost of respondents used a purposive sampling technique, with 48 respondents. The data needed in this research includes primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used is a resource economic valuation technique, namely the effect on production (EOP) technique. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it shows that the economic value of the Kampar River ecosystem in Buluhcina Village for the utilization of capture fisheries activities is IDR 34,567,921,433.8/year, with a consumer surplus value of IDR 805,779,054.4/year, and the total economic value of capture fisheries activities per m2 is IDR 30,897.4/m2/year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the value of an economic benefit of the total mangrove forest located in the village of Pulau Cawan Indragiri Hilir regency, namely using the concept of valuation economic in calculating the benefits of mangrove existence that has the potential of existing natural resources. This research was conducted in August 2020, The observations made in the field use observations and direct interviews with the local government and the community around the village of Pulau Cawan. The results of the research obtained showed the ecosystem of the mangrove forest area of the village of Pulau Cawan which has an area of ±3,401.66 ha, and there is a value of existing benefits of IDR 21.200.000 ha/year. The factors that will affect the willingness to pay (WTP) of the community around mangrove forests in the form of the respondent's income level, the respondent's education level, the respondent's gender, the respondent's age and the respondent's family dependents. The benefit value of the existence of The Village of Pulau Cawan can be used as a basis for decision-making by the local government and the surrounding community in the management of policies and utilization of mangrove forests in maintaining and preserving mangrove forest ecosystems for the sustainability of the future. With the results obtained in knowing the existence of the value function of a mangrove ecosystem, it can result in the formulation of the mangrove forest conservation reserve area of Pulau Cawan village, namely the implementation and development of the “Ecu-Edu Wisata Mangrove” (EEWM) concept plan.

Abstract

Various human activities around the marine protected area in Indragiri Hilir Regency put considerable pressure on coastal and marine ecosystems. The Marine Protected Area of ​​Solop Beach Pulau kecil Park in Indragiri Hilir Regency has been designated as a marine protected area to protect water areas, with a zoning system to realize sustainable management of fish resources and the environment. The research was carried out in October 2022 in the marine protected area in Indragiri Hilir Regency. This study aims to analyze the role of stakeholders involved in the management of marine protected areas in Indragiri Hilir Regency, which was carried out through in-depth interviews with informants, namely selected stakeholders. The results showed that the role of stakeholders in the management of marine protected areas in Indragiri Hilir Regency was grouped into: input (Provincial Environment and Forestry Service, Provincial Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service and Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries), stake (Village Head), output (Managers, group’s community, fishermen, and NGOs) and unused (Academics).

Abstract

This research was conducted in May 2022 in Ikur Koto Panjang Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City. This research aims to analyze internal and external factors and marketing strategies in Sipujuk Farm; the internal factors in question are strengths and weaknesses, while external factors are opportunities and threats to the smoked fish marketing strategy at Sipujuk Farm. The method used in this research is the survey method by conducting interviews directly in the field and collecting data by filling out questionnaires. Respondents totaled nine people who were taken by purposive sampling with predetermined criteria. Data analysis techniques using SWOT analysis try to describe and analyze the level of advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and threats as well as what kind of marketing strategies should be carried out by businesses in Sipujuk Farm Padang in marketing them. The results of this study are from the results of the analysis of internal factors obtained weighting score value on smoked fish business Sipujuk Farm Padang, namely for internal 2.89 and analysis of external factors received weighting score value on smoked fish business Sipujuk Farm Padang, namely 1.96. The strategy prioritized in the Sipujuk Farm smoked fish business is in the position I (aggressive strategy) to grow and develop, namely the SO strategy. These strategies include Maintaining product quality, expanding target marketing, utilizing certain parties when visiting to introduce smoked fish businesses both on social media and the real world, product quality that has the characteristic of being a differentiator from other smoked fish and a place of business that carries out overall fishery activities and maintains the image or image of the Sipujuk Farm Padang smoked fish business.

Abstract

This research was conducted in July 2022 in Sinaboi District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This study aimed to analyze the sustainability status and attributes strongly influencing the sustainable management of four-finger threadfin (Eleutheronema tetradactylum) in Sinaboi District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The method used in this research is the survey method. Data sources were collected from primary data and secondary data. The purposive sampling technique selected nine respondents who met specific criteria. The data obtained were analyzed with RAPFISH to explain the ecological, economic, social, technological, and institutional dimensions that include sustainability attributes through several analyses, including Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) and sensitivity analysis (leverage analysis). The results of the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis showed that the sustainability index in the ecological dimension with a value of 61.71 and the economic size with a value of 52.12, which has a reasonably sustainable status, as well as in the social dimension with a value of 50.94, the technological extent with a value of 48.81 and the institutional size with a value of 50.40 has a less sustainable status. 9 leverage attributes are sensitive and affect the value of sustainability in the results of sensitivity analysis (leverage analysis) for each dimension. Influential details need to be considered to increase the sustainability value of four-finger threadfin in Sinaboi District.

Abstract

This research was carried out in June-May 2023 in Rokan Hilir Regency to analyze the potential, business feasibility, and sustainability status of the Blood shell (Anadara granosa) cultivation business. The method used was a survey with a total of 10 respondents. The Fisheries and Maritime Service of Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, numbered three people and seven cultivators, and purposive sampling was the technique for taking respondents. The research results show that the cultivation potential is 120,000 kg/harvest to 170,000 kg/harvest, with a Net Present Value (NPV) of 80% from IDR 65,759,767,943.09/ year. Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio) ≥1 means the business is said to be feasible and can also be continued. Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 80%, meaning IRR > discount rate that has been determined, then the business is feasible to continue, and the interest rate used in this research is the BRI Bank interest rate of 15%, the sustainability status of the blood shell cultivation business is assessed based on five dimensions. The ecological, economic, social, technological and institutional dimensions included in the good and very sustainable categories are the environmental, economic and social dimensions, with dimension values of 82.33 to 86.96. Meanwhile, in the bad (unsustainable) and poor (less sustainable) categories, namely the technological and institutional dimensions, with dimension values of 21.54 to 34.65. Therefore, the two dimensions included in the categories of bad (unsustainable) and poor (less sustainable) concern the management and all stakeholders, who need to take corrective steps to improve the blood-shell resource in Rokan Hilir Regency.

Abstract

This research was conducted in June 2022 in Kuok Village, Kuok District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The purpose of the study was to describe the businesses that emerged as having an impact on the existence of the striped catfish farming business and analyze the multiplier effect of the existence of the striped catfish farming business in Kuok Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The survey method was used, and the respondents were determined by purposive sampling. The results showed that economic activities impacting striped catfish farming consisted of fish farming activities, hatchery business units, feed sales business units, and some as workers at CV. Patin Prima can be called labor. The Income Multiplier Ratio, type II, produces a value of 1.01, meaning it economically impacts the community in Kuok Village.
