Abstract

This research was instigated with the limitations of tools and materials in the process of practical work activities and the use of limited chemistry learning media. This research aimed at finding out the validity, practicality, and student response tests whose validity was tested by media experts, material experts, language experts, teachers, and students. The research method use was Research and Development (R&D) with Design and Development Research (DDR) model. The preliminary field test was conducted to the eleventh-grade students of class 3 at Senior High School of muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The product in the form of Flashcard media with Augmented Reality in Thermochemistry practical work was developed in this research. The validation score by media experts, material experts, and language experts wa 82,9% with very valid criterion. Teacher practicality test result was 90% with very practical criterion, and student response test result was 81,7% with very good category. Based on the results obtained from the validity test, practicality test and response test, it can be concluded that augmented reality-assisted flashcard media on exothermic and endothermic reaction sub-material as a learning resource is very feasible and practical to use in the learning process of exothermic and endothermic reactions.Keywords: Augmented Reality, Flashcard, Exothermic and Endothermic ReactionsAbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan alat dan bahan dalam proses kegiatan praktikum serta penggunaan media pembelajaran kimia yang terbatas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui validitas, praktikalitas, dan uji respon peserta didik terhadap media flashcard berbantuan augmented reality pada sub materi reaksi eksoterm dan endoterm sebagai sumber belajar yang diuji kevalidannya oleh ahli media, ahli materi, ahli bahasa, guru, dan peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Desain and Development Research (DDR). Uji lapangan awal dilakukan di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru terhadap peserta didik kelas XI.3. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk berupa media flashcard berbantuan augmented reality pada sub materi reaksi eksoterm dan endoterm dengan nilai validasi ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa diperoleh sebesar 82,9% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Uji praktikalitas guru mendapatkan hasil sebesar 90% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, dan uji respon peserta didik mendapatkan hasil sebesar 81,7% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan dari uji validitas, uji praktikalitas dan uji respon dapat disimpulkan bahwa media flashcard berbantuan augmented reality pada sub materi reaksi eksoterm dan endoterm sebagai sumber belajar sangat layak dan praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran reaksi eksoterm dan endoterm. Keywords: Augmented Reality, Flashcard, Reaksi Eksoterm dan Endoterm

Abstract

AbstractThis research was instigated with the videos rarely used in learning, so students were difficult in remembering material when studying independently.  This research aimed at designing learning video with adobe after effects software and ICARE model on Thermochemistry lesson, and the video validity was tested based on validation by material and media experts and, teacher and student practicality tests.  Research and Development (R&D) method was used in this research with design and development research (DDR). Preliminary field test was conducted to the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science 2 at Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. This research produced a thermochemistry learning video with a media and material expert validation score of 91.2% with very valid criteria. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Desain and Development Research (DDR). Uji lapangan awal dilakukan di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru terhadap peserta didik kelas XI IPA 2. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk berupa video pembelajaran termokimia dengan nilai validasi ahli media dan ahli materi diperoleh sebesar 91,2% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Abstract

This research aimed at knowing the students' performance ability in conducting chemistry practicum using performance assessment instruments.  Questionnaires and student psychomotor observation sheets on buffer solution material were used for collecting the data, the observation sheet has indicators: 1) preparing preparations before doing the practicum, 2) skills in preparing tools and materials, 3) skills in conducting experiments in accordance with the practicum guide, 4) skills in using tools and taking materials, 5) drawing skills or recording the results of practical observations, 6) ability in creating, taking initiative.  This research was conducted at Vocational High Schools of Ikasari Pharmacy and Abdurab Pekanbaru.  This research used a qualitative descriptive.  The population in this research were students at Vocational High Schools of Ikasari Pharmacy and Abdurab Pekanbaru with samples 61 students that were selected using a purposive sampling technique.  The assessment results of the performance indicators in preparing preparations before conducting the practicum was 95.49%, skills in preparing tools and materials were 85.04%, skills in conducting experiments in accordance with the practicum guide was 88.66%, skills in using tools and taking materials were 93.03%, skills in drawing or recording the results of practical observations was 88.93% and the ability in creating, taking initiative were 88.17%, Overall the mean scores of the results students’ performance assessment in practicum the buffer solution material were 89.88%.  Based on these results, it could be concluded that the student performance assessment observation sheet was in very good category in measuring students' psychomotor abilities on the main topic of buffer solutions. Keywords: Performance Assessment Instrument, Psychomotor Ability, Buffer Solution
