Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran pemeliharaan sasis dan pemindah tenaga kendaraan ringan kelas XI SMK N 5 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental Design). Dengan rancangan pretest dan posttes. Teknik pemilihan sampel penelitian ini adalah Teknik total sampling dengan jumlah 52 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah kognitif, hal ini terlihat dari hasil hipotesis didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0.000< 0,05 yang menandakan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, dinyatakan model problem based learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik di SMK N 5 Padang The low student learning outcomes are because the learning process is still teacher-centered.
