Abstract

Cargo delivery is an integral part of logistics operations, where monitoring plays a crucial role. Manual approaches in monitoring increase the risk of human error and prolong the process duration. Major issues frequently encountered in cargo delivery, such as damages, losses, and bus travel delays, can be addressed through the implementation of monitoring systems. Damages and losses during cargo transportation, coupled with significant bus travel delays, stem from finalizing cargo delivery data after passenger check-in. This research aims to identify the root causes of these three issues and offer solution recommendations to enhance the reliability of the cargo delivery process. The research methodology includes analysis of historical delivery data, interviews with operational crews, and the development of a web-based information system for more structured monitoring processes. Research findings indicate that discrepancies between delivery schedules and inconsistent monitoring are primary factors contributing to damages, losses, and delays. Recommended solutions involve implementing real-time tracking systems and providing training to enhance awareness of swift and accurate delivery procedures. In conclusion, understanding the challenges encountered in cargo delivery can contribute to developing better service solutions, thereby improving overall logistics efficiency within DAMRI logistics.

Abstract

The selection of majors at SMK Negeri 38 Jakarta currently relies on a single opportunity during registration, without considering various factors that might influence students' choices. This underscores the necessity for developing a decision support system that can aid prospective students in selecting majors aligned with their interests, potentials, and characteristics. The aim of this research is to design and implement a decision support system using the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method as an alternative to facilitate a more informed decision-making process. The research methodology involves data collection from prospective students, including personal interests, the average grades from the first to the fifth semester of junior high school, average school examination scores, registration pathways, and percentiles of grades. This data serves as input for the TOPSIS method to generate recommendations for study focus options that suit the characteristics of each prospective student. The research findings indicate that the implementation of a TOPSIS-based decision support system offers a more accurate possibility for major selection, aligning with the potentials and interests of prospective students. This system allows for data filtering and processing to produce recommendations guiding prospective students in choosing a suitable study focus among three available options: Hospitality, Culinary Arts, and Fashion Design. Conclusively, the decision support system using the TOPSIS method proves to be an effective solution in aiding new prospective students at SMK Negeri 38 Jakarta in selecting majors aligned with their interests and potentials, thereby reducing the tendency for errors in major selection based on a single registration opportunity.

Abstract

The influence of information and communication technology on the world of education is rapidly evolving, shifting the learning paradigm from face-to-face teaching to media-based learning. SMA Perguruan Ksatrya Jakarta, under the Yayasan Perguruan Ksatrya, focuses on innovation in the field of education. However, the current learning system remains manual, relying on face-to-face interactions between teachers and students, which are limited in discussions and interactions. This condition leads to a lack of achieving learning targets. This research aims to design an e-learning information system using the CodeIgniter framework. The selection of CodeIgniter is expected to facilitate e-learning, enhance efficiency, and improve the accuracy of learning management. System development involves PHP and MySQL, designed based on UML principles. The research output yields an e-learning information system aimed at enhancing the understanding of the teaching and learning process at SMA Ksatrya. This system is anticipated to support more dynamic interaction between teachers and students while expediting the learning process following the SDLC method. SMA Ksatrya Jakarta has the potential to enhance the quality of learning, facilitate better interaction, and expedite the learning process in line with the strategically set objectives.
