Abstract

Background: Diabetes will cause many complications if it is not treated properly. Complex treatment for people living with diabetes will cause a person to experience stress, so not many sufferers comply with treatment to control blood sugar levels. This literature review aims to determine the reduction in blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers with progressive muscle relaxation. Methods: The method used in this article is a literature review using journal databases from Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar in the 2020-2023 time period with the keywords "Progressive Muscle Relaxation or Relaxation Technique," "Blood sugar levels" and "Diabetes Mellitus Results: The results obtained were 2,111 articles. Articles were selected according to the criteria; the result was 19 articles ready to be reviewed. From the literature review study results, it was found that progressive muscle relaxation influences reducing blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers. Progressive muscle relaxation can relax the body so that the parasympathetic nervous system will stimulate the secretion of the hormone insulin so that it can control blood sugar levels. Conclusion: It is hoped that people living with diabetes will increase their physical activity by doing progressive muscle relaxation twice a day to reduce blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers.

Abstract

Background: Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDRTB) is the biggest problem in preventing and eradicating TB in the world. MDR-TB occurs if the tuberculosis germs are resistant to various first-line OAT, at least two drugs, namely isoniazid and rifampicin. The emergence of MDR-TB cases presents new obstacles and challenges to the effectiveness of TB control programs due to difficult diagnosis, high rates of therapy failure, and death. This literature review aims to determine the factors that cause multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Methods: The method used in this article is a literature review using journal databases from Pubmed and Google Scholar in the 2020-2023 time period with the keywords "drug MDR TB," "multi-drug TB MDR factors," "TB MDR," and " resistant TB medicine" found in 1,990 articles, 304 from Pubmed, and 1,960 from Google Scholar). Articles were selected according to the criteria, and the result was 20 articles ready to be reviewed Results: The results of this study show that risk factors have been proven to show that there is a significant relationship between history of diabetes mellitus, history of TB treatment, patient motivation, adherence to taking medication, duration of TB treatment, status of drug side effects, employment, marital status, economic level, history of contact with patients. MDR TB, stress level, and family support are related to the incidence of MDR TB Conclusion: The conclusion of the 20 articles reviewed shows that age, gender, compliance with taking medication, diabetes mellitus, and a history of contact with MDR TB patients are the factors that most influence the occurrence of MDR TB

Abstract

Background: Diarrhea is a major health problem in children that still occurs frequently and even has the potential to become an outbreak (extraordinary event), which is often accompanied by death due to the release of fluid from the body caused by bacteria and causing dehydration in children. This literature review aims to determine the effect of honey complementary therapy on reducing the frequency of diarrhea in toddlers. Methods: The method used in this article is a literature review using journal databases from Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Science Direct in the 2020-2023 period with the keywords "Diarrhea," "Honey Therapy," and "Children," resulting in 1,637 articles. Results: Articles were selected according to the criteria, and the result was 15 articles ready to be reviewed. Providing complementary therapy with honey influences the frequency of diarrhea in children by giving it 3x5ml per day as long as the child has diarrhea until the frequency of diarrhea decreases. Conclusion: This literature review shows that giving complementary honey therapy to children can reduce the frequency of diarrhea by inhibiting the growth and development of bacteria in the digestive system, helping to replace lost body fluids

Abstract

Background: Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) is a disease that disrupts kidney function and cannot be recovered. The body's inability to maintain metabolism and fluid and electrolyte balance results in an increase in urea Tnon-pharmacological therapy that can be used for patients with Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD)To reduce fatigue, namely foot reflexology and back massage. To find out the implementation of foot reflexology and back massage to overcome the nursing problem of fatigue related to physiological conditions in patients with Kidney Disease(CKD) Methods: Writing this scientific paper uses the research method used in this research, namely, a literature review with the type of study to be identified, namely, a case report. Results: Research was conducted on patients diagnosed with Kidney Disease(CKD). The results of the study showed that the intervention of Foor Reflexology and Back Massage techniques was carried out for two days twice a day; on the first day before the intervention, the fatigue level score was 33 (Severe Fatigue), and after the intervention, the fatigue level score was 14 (Mild Fatigue). ) The second day before the intervention, a fatigue level score 24 (Moderate Fatigue) was obtained. After the intervention, a fatigue level score of 13 (mild fatigue) was obtained. Conclusion: This research shows that foot reflexology and back massage therapy can reduce fatigue in chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) patients.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a disease that often causes chronic complications if not handled properly and is characterized by an increase in blood sugar levels. This literature review aims to determine the effect of reflexology on blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods: The method used in this article is a literature review using a journal database from Science Direct and Google Scholar from 2020 to 2023 with the keywords "Reflexology" or "Reflexology," "Blood glucose" or "Blood sugar levels," and "Diabetes Mellitus" Results: obtained results of 1,070 articles. Articles were selected according to the criteria, and ten articles were ready to be reviewed.  Reflexology affects lowering blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus by doing it regularly for 20-30 minutes 12 times. Conclusion: Doing a physical activity, one of which is applying Reflexology 12 times in 3 sessions for four weeks, can control blood sugar levels

Abstract

Background: Stroke is the most common cause of disease in the world and is the highest cause of death in Indonesia, so prevention is very important to minimise the incidence of stroke. The most appropriate effort to prevent stroke is to control stroke risk factors. The purpose of the literature review is to analyse the risk factors associated with stroke events in patients. Methods: The method used is a literature review using a journal database from Pubmed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. In the 2019-2023 range, with the keywords "stroke, factors causing stroke", and stroke, 220 articles were obtained Results: Search for articles according to the criteria and obtain ten articles that are ready to be reviewed. These articles explain the risk factors for stroke. It is hoped that stroke patients will try to control stroke risk factors Conclusion: This literature review shows that the risk factors for stroke are increasing due to a history of diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, age, gender, high cholesterol, obesity, lack of public knowledge about stroke and consumption of alcohol, smoking and drugs, including a lifestyle

Abstract

Background: Shortness of breath that is not treated immediately will result in several other health problems and threaten death. There are non-pharmacological treatments, namely tripod position techniques and pursed lip breathing. To determine the effectiveness of tripod position and pursed lip breathing on reducing shortness of breath in patients with impaired systems and respiration. Methods: The study design used in this case study is based on evidence-based practice of nursing (EBN) with sampling according to inclusion criteria of 5 respondents—ameasuring instrument used for the assessment of shortness of breath using oxygen saturation observation sheets. Respondents' intervention used SOPs for tripod position and pursed lip breathing. Results: Based on interventions that have been performed on patients, most oxygen saturation < 95% to 80%. Then, after the intervention, there was an increase in oxygen saturation to 96-100% as much as 100%, from the results of the spss test using the Wilcoxon test, p values (0.04) < (0.05) were obtained, which means that there is an effect of the application of tripod position and pursed lip breathing on reducing shortness of breath in patients. Conclusion: Tripod position and pursed lip breathing techniques can reduce shortness of breath in patients. This application can be done independently for 10-15 minutes, as much as two times, to reduce shortness of breath if you experience a recurrence.
