Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to recognize numbers in children of group A in PAUD Yatina Penjor by using the method of playing foot and hand games. The type of research that researchers use is Classroom action research. The number of subjects in this study was 15 children consisting of 7 boys and 8 girls. Researchers used observation, test, and documentation techniques in data collection. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that through the foot and hand games method, children showed an increase in the results before the action was carried out, namely children who were completed or children who got BSH and BSB scores at the time before the action there were only 5 children with a score (33.3%) with an average score of 52, while increasing in cycle 1, namely children obtained completeness as many as 9 people with a score (60%) with an average score of 68.3. Meanwhile, in cycle II, the results were obtained that children with BSH and BSB scores increased to 13 children with a score (86.6%) with an average score of 84. It can be concluded from the results of the cycle that the foot and hand games method can improve the ability to recognize numbers in children of group A in PAUD Yatina Penjor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of initial reading skills through the Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) method in 1st grade students at SDN 3 Pemenang Timur. This research is an effort to improve initial reading skills through the Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) method in grade 1 students at SDN 3 Pemenang Timur. This research was conducted with 2 cycles, each of which has 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 1st grade students at SDN 3 Pemenang Timur with a total of 30 students. Data collection techniques was carried using observation sheets and reading tests. Based on the analysis of test results and observations, it was concluded that there was an increase in students' initial reading ability in each cycle. The average value result at the precyclical was 70.4 with a classical completion percentage of 47%. In the first cycle, the average value became 74.4 with a classical completion percentage of 67%. In cycle II, it increased again with an average value of 77.9 with a classical completion percentage of 83%. Thus, the VAK method can improve the initial reading skills in the first grade of SDN 3 Pemenang Timur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of gadgets on early childhood social emotional development. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach, the location of the study was carried out in RA Baytussalam North Lombok, the subjects in this study were RA Baytussalam Dusun Dasan Tengak students totaling 16 students, 1 teacher, and 2 guardians of students. The results of the analysis show that the impact of gadget use on the social emotional development of children in RA Baytussalam consists of positive impacts and negative impacts. The positive use of gadgets is to increase imagination, train intelligence, and improve the ability to recognize letters and numbers. While the negative impacts of using gadgets are being a closed person, having trouble sleeping, children getting angry easily, and being exposed to radiation.
