Abstract

This study aims to test the feasibility, practicality and effectiveness of the development of e-modules based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) on sound wave material in Physics class XI at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The sample used in this study was class XI students at SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang totaling 33 students. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire sheet for validation of feasibility and practicality. Data collection techniques in this study include tests in the form of pre-test and post-test work while non-tests include observation, questionnaire filling, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the feasibility value of developing e-modules with PBL syntax provided by media, material and language experts met the criteria with an average validity of 82.53%, 88.51%, and 100% respectively (very valid category). The practicality test by students showed an average practicality level of 93.87% (very practical category). Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, the development of e-modules with PBL syntax meets the effective criteria, this can be seen from the effectiveness analyzed with the results of a significant increase based on the t test (t_hitung = 5.51 > t_table = 2.037). Thus, this PBL-integrated e-module is declared valid, practical, and effective as Physics learning media, and is able to significantly improve students' concept understanding of sound waves material.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of Mathematics Games and learning motivation on the mathematics achievement of fifth-grade students at SDN 03 Koto Kaciak. Using a quantitative approach with a 2×2 factorial quasi-experimental design, students were assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pre- and post-tests and a learning motivation questionnaire. Two-way ANOVA was used for analysis. The results showed that the Mathematics Games method did not significantly affect learning outcomes (p > 0.05), although the experimental group demonstrated slightly higher mean scores than the control group. In contrast, learning motivation significantly influenced students’ mathematics achievement (p < 0.05), with high-motivation students outperforming their peers. No significant interaction was found between teaching method and motivation level. These findings suggest that while the Mathematics Games method did not produce statistically significant gains, learning motivation remains a key factor in academic success. The study’s contribution lies in its contextual application of Mathematics Games as an instructional strategy in a rural elementary school setting, highlighting the importance of implementation quality and learner characteristics. Further research with longer treatment duration and larger samples is recommended to assess long-term effects and refine the integration of educational games in elementary mathematics instruction.

Abstract

Education in Vocational High Schools (SMK) faces significant challenges in improving the quality of learning, particularly in Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects that involve abstract concepts, such as Earth and Space. Based on daily test data, only 33.33% of students achieved the Learning Objective Completion Criteria (KKTP), indicating that the majority of students have not yet fully understood the material. This study aims to develop a differentiated learning-based E-Module for the Earth and Space Science material in the IPAS subject at SMKN 8 Padang. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Four-D model, consisting of Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate stages. The E-Module was evaluated for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Results showed that the E-Module achieved high validity, with media receiving 90%, material 81%, and language 100%. The practicality test, conducted with small and large groups, showed scores of 96 and 95%, respectively, while the teachers' evaluation scored 94%. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the E-Module was confirmed with a t-value of 16.293, exceeding the critical value of 2.045, indicating significant improvement in student learning outcomes. The average pretest score was 57.73, which increased to 81.73 after using the E-Module, with a moderate N-Gain score of 57%. These results demonstrate that the E-Module significantly enhances student motivation, understanding, and learning outcomes, making it a viable tool for IPAS instruction in SMK.

Abstract

This study developed and evaluated a Mind Mapping-based e-module as an interactive digital teaching material for the hajj subject in fifth-grade Islamic Religious Education. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, the e-module was designed, produced, and tested for feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. Expert validation indicated that the product met high feasibility standards, while teacher and student feedback confirmed its practicality in classroom use. Implementation results showed that the e-module effectively enhanced students’ learning motivation and outcomes, supporting active and enjoyable learning in line with the Merdeka Curriculum principles. The findings suggest that the Mind Mapping-based e-module can serve as an innovative solution for integrating technology in elementary Islamic Religious Education, offering a model for developing engaging and student-centered digital teaching materials.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive teaching materials based on the inquiry model using the Powtoon application that are valid, practical, and effective for fourth-grade elementary school students. The background of this research includes the limited use of technology-based teaching materials, low student participation in science and social science learning, a lack of engaging instructional media, and the need for learning models that enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The validation results from subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts indicate that the developed teaching materials are highly valid, with a score of 90.04%. The materials include content aligned with the Competency Criteria and Learning Objectives, a systematic presentation following the inquiry model syntax, communicative language, and attractive visuals through Powtoon animations. In terms of practicality, both students and teachers rated the material as highly practical, with an average student response score of 86.98% and a teacher score of 92.67%. The effectiveness of the teaching material was evaluated through pretest and posttest, with an average N-Gain score of 0.79 (high category), showing a positive impact on student learning outcomes. These materials are proven to be valid, practical, and effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by facilitating Fiqh learning which is expected to help students and increase the variety of teaching materials for modules based on the Halaqah method so that they are more active and happy in learning Fiqh. This research includes research and development. This research uses the ADDIE development model with 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The instruments in this research used validity and practicality test questionnaires, and student learning outcomes to test the effectiveness of the Fiqh module being developed. The results of this research and development show that the validity test results based on media expert questionnaire validation obtained an average score of 95.55% with valid criteria. while the validation results from material experts obtained an average value of 86.95% with valid criteria. Linguist validation obtained an average score of 87.69% with valid criteria. The results of the practicality test based on the Fiqh teacher response questionnaire obtained an average score of 95.65%. The results of the practicality test based on the student response questionnaire from the experimental class obtained an average score of 89.83. Meanwhile, for module accuracy, an average score of 91.33% was obtained in the very practical category.

Abstract

To improve the maximum use of the free learning platform by teachers, it is necessary to explore in more depth the problems that influence it, what factors influence it, and prevent the use of the free learning platform by teachers from being carried out as it should. Research aims to determine the correlation between the principal's change in leadership and the school climate in West Pasaman Regency State High School, the change in leadership of the school principal contributes to the use of the independent teaching platform, The school climate contributes to the use of the teacher's use of the freedom to teach platform, The principal's change leadership and the school climate contribute together to the use independent platform for teaching, This research uses a correlational quantitative method with an "ex-post facto" type of research, where ex-post facto research is an attempt to explore without manipulating conditions. Research results that show a direct and significant relationship between principals' change leadership and teachers' use of PMM can provide a basis for improving principals' change leadership. School principals can focus on strategies to improve their leadership in schools starting from identifying problems, planning changes, implementing changes, and cultivating changes for the better.
