This research is motivated by the importance of multicultural education in Vocational High Schools (SMK) as a response to the diversity of student backgrounds and the demands of an increasingly global workplace. The gap between the curriculum, which tends to be uniform, and the reality of diverse students, drives the need for innovation. Therefore, this research focuses on analyzing the design, strategies, and challenges of implementing a multicultural-based curriculum at SMKN 1 Selakau Timur. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods and analysis of school policy documents. The research stages include identifying key concepts from various scientific sources, analyzing the school's vision, mission and curriculum structure, and evaluating ongoing implementation practices. Key findings indicate that the curriculum at SMKN 1 Selakau Timur is designed based on five main principles: inclusivity, equity, social relevance, critical thinking, and collaboration. Its implementation is carried out through the integration of cultural materials into various subjects, the use of interactive learning methods such as PjBL, and culturally themed extracurricular activities. It was concluded that despite facing challenges such as limited teacher understanding, this multicultural curriculum has proven effective in creating an inclusive learning environment, instilling values ??of tolerance, and preparing graduates who are adaptive and globally competitive. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) sebagai respons terhadap keberagaman latar belakang siswa dan tuntutan dunia kerja yang semakin global. Adanya kesenjangan antara kurikulum yang cenderung seragam dengan realitas siswa yang majemuk mendorong perlunya inovasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis desain, strategi, dan tantangan implementasi kurikulum berbasis multikultural di SMKN 1 Selakau Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur dan analisis dokumen kebijakan sekolah. Tahapan penelitian meliputi identifikasi konsep utama dari berbagai sumber ilmiah, analisis visi-misi dan struktur kurikulum sekolah, serta evaluasi praktik implementasi yang telah berjalan. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum di SMKN 1 Selakau Timur dirancang berdasarkan lima prinsip utama: inklusivitas, keadilan, relevansi sosial, berpikir kritis, dan kolaborasi. Implementasinya dilakukan melalui integrasi materi budaya ke dalam berbagai mata pelajaran, penggunaan metode pembelajaran interaktif seperti PjBL, serta kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bertema budaya. Disimpulkan bahwa meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan pemahaman guru, kurikulum multikultural ini terbukti efektif menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif, menanamkan nilai toleransi, dan mempersiapkan lulusan yang adaptif serta berdaya saing global.
