Abstract

Mustard plants are economically valuable plants that have many benefits, in the sense that plants are easily available and available at any time, the price is cheap and can be processed as vegetables the results provide benefits that mark one type of mustard plant that is quite widely developed by farmers in Papua is mustard greens (BrassicaJuncea L,) efforts to increase the production of mustard greens can be done, Among other things with proper spacing arrangements. Research Objectives To determine the effect of planting distance on the growth and yield of mustard plants. This research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Agrotechnology Study Program.Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Marine, Ottow Gessler University Papua and was carried out for 3 months.this research used a Group Randomized Design in the form of planting distance with 3 treatments, namely: JT1 Planting Distance 20x20 cm, JT2 30 x30 cm, JT3 40x40 cm. The parameters observed are Plant height (cm), Number of leaves (strands), leaf width (cm), wet plant ( gr), Plant Height (cm) . Spacing treatment has a significantly different effect on the growth and yield of mustard plants.
