<![CDATA[This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving(TAPPS) in terms of students mathematical problem solving skill. The population of this research was eighth grade students in SMPN 21 Bandar Lampung which was distributed into 11 classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII A and VIII B class which were taken by purposive sampling technique. This research used pretest-posttest only control group design. The data analysis of this research used Mann-Whitney U test and Binomial Sign test. The research concluded that cooperative learning of TAPPS wasnt effective in terms of students mathematical problem solving skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving(TAPPS) ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 21 Bandar Lampung yang terdistribusi dalam sebelas kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII B yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U dan Uji Tanda Binomial. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAPPS tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, TAPPS, pemecahan masalah matematis]]>
