<![CDATA[This quasi experimental research with posttest only control design aimed to know the influence of guided discovery method towards mathematical conceptual understanding. The population was 8th grade students of SMPN 26 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013 that distributed into seven classes. The samples were all students of VIIIA and VIIIB class that gotten by purposive sampling technique. The data research was mathematical conceptual understanding that gotten by test. Data analysis result using t-test got student’s mathematical conceptual understanding in guided discovery learning was higher than expository learning. The conclusion was guided discovery method influences student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of 8th grade students of SMPN 26 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain posttest only control design yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 20112/2013 yang terdistribusi dalam tujuh kelas. Melalui teknik purposive sampling, terpilih siswa kelas VIIIA dan VIIIB sebagai sampel penelitian. Data penelitian adalah data pemahaman konsep matematika yang diperoleh melalui tes. Dari hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-t satu pihak diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada pembelajaran metode penemuan terbimbing lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa pada pembelajaran metode ekspositori. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2012/2013.Kata kunci: metode penemuan terbimbing, pemahaman konsep matematika, pengaruh]]>
