Abstract

Abstract:   Management of primary schools development based on nation character education. Purpose of this research was to describe Management of primary schools development based on nation character education influenced by schools’ culture, teachers’ professionality,  and parents participation  in the excellent elementary schools Bandung City.  Research method used was deskriptive quantitative. Population of teachers and principals of exellent schools Bandung city  were 550. The sample acquired by random sampling  were 203 people.   Research results showed that there were: (1) influence of school culture on nation character education  23,1%., (2)  influence of teachers’ professionality on nation character education  26,8%. (3) influence parents participation  on nation character education  31,7%. Influence of school culture, teachers’ professionality, and parents participation  were 33,8%, while the rest were influenced by other factors.Abstrak: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen pengembangan program sekolah berbasis pendidikan karakter terhadap pengaruh budaya sekolah, profesionalitas guru, dan partisipasi orang tua pada SD unggulan di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi guru dan kepala SD Unggulan di Kota Bandung sebanyak 550 orang. Sampel berdasarkan sampling random sebanyak 203 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh: (1) budaya sekolah terhadap pendidikan karakter bangsa sebesar 23,1%., (2) Pengaruh profesionalitas guru terhadap pendidikan karakter bangsa sebesar 26,8%. (3) Pengaruh partisipasi orang tua terhadap pendidikan karakter bangsa sebesar 31,7%. Pengaruh budaya sekolah, profesionalitas guru, dan partisipasi orang tua secara simultan terhadap pendidikan karakter bangsa sebesar 33,8%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 66,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to solve the problems in elementary schools especially in the application of learning that still does not prioritize character education.This research methods is a type of research and development with reference to Borg and Gall model with only seven steps, including: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) product validation, (5) revision products, (6) product trials, and (7) product revision. Data obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Sources of data are Class IV students and Class IV teachers at Masehi Kudus Elementary School, Tanwirul Qulub School, and 2nd Panjunan School.The results of the effectiveness test show that ?Curriculum Management Based on Strengthening Character Education for Improving the Quality of Learning in Elementary Schools is effectively used in learning in Class IV Elementary Schools Theme ?Beautiful Togetherness? Sub Theme 1 ?Diversity of My Nation?s Culture? with the average results of individual completeness in Masehi Elementary School reaches 91%, while in Tanwirul Qulub Elementary School and 2nd Panjunan Elementary School reached 82%. The classical completeness of the three elementary schools is also very high with an average classical completeness of almost 100%. The classical completeness in the three elementary schools in a row is at Masehi Kudus Elementary School reaching 100%, at Tanwirul Qulub Elementary School and 2nd Panjunan Elementary School are reaching 95%. Classical absorption is also relatively high with the acquisition in each elementary school as follows: at Masehi Kudus Elementary School by 91%, at Tanwirul Qulub Elementary School and 2nd Panjunan Elementary School by 82%.

Abstract

Saat ini telah banyak muncul kasus-kasus penyimpangan perilaku oleh anak, sehingga perlu adanya kesadaran baik dari pihak sekolah mengenai pentingnya penanaman karakter pada anak. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menjelaskan atau menggambarkan upaya pengembangan manajemen pengembangan sekolah dasar berbasis pendidikan karakter dan melihat jenis karakter yang ingin dicapai di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dalam pengumpulan data.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pengembangan sekolah dasar berbasis pendidikan karakter di laksanakan dalam tiga tahap yaitu: Perencanaan, menyusun silabus dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter. Pelaksanaan, pengembangan Sekolah Dasar berbasis pendidikan karakter berjalan sesuai dengan perencanaan yang telah disusun menggunakan model pembelajaran ceramah. Evaluasi menggunakan evaluasi proses dan hasil atau tes. Penanaman karakter pada penelitian ini ialah jujur, bertanggung jawab, mempunyai rasa toleransi, cinta damai, komunikatif, kreatif, peduli social, saling menghargai, demokratis, memiliki jiwa nasionalisme, dan religious.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a curriculum management model based on character education strengthening that can be effectively implemented in elementary schools to improve the quality of learning. The background of this research is rooted in the declining quality of learning and the weakening of students’ character, indicating that character values have not been optimally integrated into basic education. A curriculum that focuses solely on cognitive aspects without considering students’ attitudes and behavior is no longer relevant in today’s educational context. Therefore, a curriculum management model that balances academic performance with character development is urgently needed. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The development procedures included needs analysis, initial model design, expert validation, field testing, and final model revision. The results of the study indicate that the developed model enhances teachers' roles in implementing character-based learning, strengthens positive school culture, and improves student learning outcomes both academically and affectively. The model also shows flexibility in adapting to the national curriculum and Islamic values within the Integrated Islamic Elementary School context. This research recommends the model as a practical reference for school principals and curriculum designers to formulate more meaningful and long-term impactful educational policies for students.
