Abstract

This research describes the learners' needs toward HOTS test instrument development for the seventh-grade learners of a Public Junior High School Palembang. Test instrument has important roles in finding out the learners' skills in understanding the materials. The stage of this research is part of research and development by Gall Borg. It is a stage of collecting data or information to determine the needs of a developed product. The findings showed the students’ needs for the HOTS-based developed instrument from the discussion of the questionnaire and interview. On the other hand, the teacher realized that HOTS-based questions and learning for students had not answered their needs. Therefore, the teacher had to revise. It could be done by adjusting the materials needed by learners with those considered relevant to HOTS.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe and analyze the results of developing an instrument, and an effective evaluation platform for Indonesian courses as a Personality and Development Courses at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha called KlikMPK. This research was a type of research and development with the ADDIE model. This research involved two media experts. Research data were obtained from observations and questionnaires, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this study indicated that 1) the advantages of the KlikMPK platform are that it is open-source, flexible and easy to use, secure and integrated;  has plugin support and is easy to customize;  as well as mobile-friendly and laptop support. 2) KlikMPK affective evaluation platform has a valid validity level with a score of 94.64.  3) The stages of development carried out include five stages in accordance with the ADDIE model. Thus, this platform can be used to evaluate the affective domain of students in Indonesian learning as Personality and Development Courses.

Abstract

The development of students' scientific thinking in the field of akidah akhlak (moral theology) is very urgent, and for that process, a science-based project learning method is needed. This study uses a phenomenological approach to explore the involvement of faith and identity processes of madrasah aliyah teachers in developing science-based project learning methods, involving twenty moral theology teachers, conducted in-depth interviews to reveal the narrative of teachers' practice in using science-based project learning methods. Thematic analysis of two-group interviews with 20 teachers showed that teachers' personal beliefs provided a religiously-motivated narrative framework that facilitated the interpretation of one's experiences. The involvement of personal faith and religiosity, identity processes when teaching, plays a role in the development of science-based project learning methods on moral theology. The application of Islamic principles and faith is the main bond in the development of science-based project learning methods and attribution of identity from God-given personality to learning in moral theology. Identity processes, faith, and scientific thinking of students develop when following the learning of moral theology. In conclusion, this exploratory study shows that faith and identity processes in personal can improve science-based project learning methods. In the future, large-scale research could provide further evidence to reconsider the role of religious education in teacher training as an important factor in developing science-based project learning methods for teachers of moral theology.

Abstract

Having a deep multicultural perception is a must for school counsellors who serve students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Describing their perception of the importance of multicultural guidance and counselling is the main objective of this study. Fifty middle and high school counsellors participated in this study. Data of their perception were collected by administering a 10-item questionnaire in an online version which requires them to respond on a scale of 1-10, ranging from not important to important, encompassing cognitive, affective, and practice dimensions. The main findings of this study revealed that school counsellors have similar perceptions on the importance of multicultural guidance and counselling either in cognitive, affective, or practice dimensions, according to demographic data categories of gender, age, and years of experience. The significant difference is only found as they are categorized into middle and high school counsellors.

Abstract

This study presents Augmented Reality (AR) implementation for learning geometry mathematics with a cultural approach in junior high schools. The research method used was ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) by limiting it to (1) exploration analysis, (2) design, (3) development, and (4) implementation. Applying the AR concept to the mathematics learning method with a cultural approach is hoped to create an interesting and fun mathematics learning atmosphere. This is because the application of AR concepts in mathematics learning can help students towards abstract mathematical concepts with the help of 3D objects and improvisation of appropriate sounds and images. The research results are an AR application prototype for learning geometric mathematics with a cultural approach in junior high schools, which can be used for geometry material in junior high schools for both classroom and online learning.

Abstract

Education, especially character education, is related to the development of human morality and spirituality from an environmental perspective. This understanding of waste management is related to the character of caring for the environment based on various existing character values. One way of managing waste in schools is by establishing a waste bank. Therefore, this study aims to explain the optimization of waste banks in schools as an effort to overcome environmental pollution through education. This study took the research location at the Adiwiyata school in the Subang Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach. The researchers used observations, documentation, and interviews with students, teachers, employees, and school residents. Data analysis and research results are presented descriptively using the Miles Huberman model. The study results show that education-based solutions in overcoming pollution and protecting the environment through optimizing the waste bank at Adiwiyata elementary school run effectively and can be one of the means of environmental care education. This is evidenced by the active participation of all relevant parties in the school in the implementation of the waste bank program, which includes students, teachers, employees, and other school residents.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based SPU learning media using APP Inventor in the general chemistry course 1 of the Science Education study program at Bengkulu University. The method used in this study is Research and Development (RD) with a 4D (four-D) research and development model, namely definition, formulation of learning objectives, design, carried out by designing media In learning, developing (developing) the validation of learning media content by media experts and material experts, and dissemination (dissemination) through YouTube. The results obtained include the development of Android-based SPU learning media with six main contents, namely the intro, home, CPL, and CPMK pages, materials, evaluations, and about me. The validation results by material experts, media experts, and assessments by students are all in the "appropriate" category, so this application is very good to use. Student responses after using this application are also good and are in the "agree" category. It means that students agree and are interested in the SPU application used. Student learning outcomes have increased after using SPU learning media. The gain score is 0,60 and is in the "medium" category, indicating that SPU learning media effectively improves student learning outcomes in general chemistry 1 course, especially in SPU material.

Abstract

High-ranking state officials who assert that Islamic history is inextricably linked to war will be able to ignite radicalization among millennials, harassing researchers to demonstrate empirically. This study aims to ascertain whether there is a correlation between students' knowledge of Islamic cultural history and their religious moderation at State Aliyah Madrasah Bekasi. The research technique used was a quantitative associative correlation with a sample size of one hundred randomly selected respondents. The study's findings indicated a highly significant correlation between students' knowledge of Islamic cultural history and religious moderation. As a result of these findings, it can be concluded that the history of Islamic culture has an effect on millennials' religious moderation. To increase millennial moderation, millennials' knowledge of Islamic cultural history must be increased. Thus, the history of Islamic culture must be preserved as a subject, and content concerning war must be explained objectively and accurately to ensure that teenagers understand their religion correctly and accurately.

Abstract

The purpose of the research to develop innovative multimedia animation engineering drawing (MMAED) in the field of technology and engineering in Vocational High Schools. The research method used is research and development which broadly covers the manufacturing, and testing stages. The study population was vocational students in the fields of technology and engineering expertise. Learning is done in two different classes, namely: Class A as a control class, and class B as an experimental class. Data collection tools in the form of tests, rubrics, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, percentage, and N-gain. The results of this study are Multimedia Animation Engineering Drawing (MMAED) with special characteristics that are accessible or affordable to the eyes and logic of students, by orthogonal projection material that requires imagination or imagination of the appearance of an object. The mastery of the concept of orthogonal projection material has increased after using MMAED, so that it reaches a high category.
