Abstract

Many lecturers wrote their (formal) learning objectives at the beginning of each session. However, many of them also ignored the existence of hidden objectives, whereas if applied, the hidden objectives will maximize learning outcomes broadly. The hidden objective, that was applied to Micro Teaching courses at the university is discussed. In this paper, we outlined the concept of hidden objectives in developing and nurturing teaching skills for prospective teachers. The article was based on literature analysis relating to the concepts of curriculum, hidden curriculum, and learning objectives. We endeavoured to review the literature, definition, and principles of hidden objectives to develop a better understanding. We concluded that hidden objectives provide a contribution to the Micro Teaching course, and we recommended a model addressed to lecturers at the related departments, to the head of the department where the course was carried out, and to a unit of curriculum development at the Faculty of Education.

Abstract

The research discusses the effectiveness of learning in the field of Electrical Power Transmission (EPT). The model developed by applying the Higher Other Thinking Skill (HOTS) strategy using computer simulation media at levels 4 and 5, which is not yet optimal in improving learning outcomes in the EPT field. The HOTS strategy at the level of analysis and evaluation is needed in the study of electric power transmission which has abstract study material through complex mathematical modeling, so it requires HOTS. Measurement of the effectiveness of EPT learning begins with a needs analysis, through 14 questions identifying learning needs. Furthermore, building EPT simulation media equipped with HOTS Practice questions, and Construct Model-Tracking-Simulation and Analysis (CTA) syntax in learning, as a strategy for achieving EPT learning. The media has been validated by 4 experts with the Aiken's V approach through media instrument validation with a value of 0.86 which is declared valid. It has been tested the effectiveness of learning as measured through trials in the experimental class and control class on 22 students in the control class and 23 students in the experiment class (45 respondents). In the control class, an inquiry model is applied, while the experimental class is a CTA based simulation model. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, the average value of the experimental class was 78,53 and 68,57 in the control class. The application of the simulation-based HOTS thinking skills strategy is effectively used by students in EPT learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the form of cooperation, application, and obstacles for PAI teachers and parents in disciplining student worship. This research uses qualitative research, with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of this study were 6 the Principal, Vice Principal, PAI Teacher in the Field of Akidah Akhlak Study and the field of Jurisprudence, and 2 guardians of class VII and VIII students. This study used primary data and secondary data as data sources. Meanwhile, data collection tools through interviews/interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and puff withdrawal. To promote the validity of the data, it is carried out by extending the period of observation, triangulation, careful observation, and holding members and checks so that the information obtained can be used in research following what the informant means. Based on the findings, the results were obtained that the form of cooperation carried out by teachers with parents was through the madrasa committee and also tools in the form of mutaba'ah books, liaison books, and social media group accounts. The way to implement cooperation between PAI teachers and parents is to provide a good example or example, then provide advice and control every student activity. The obstacles faced by teachers and parents of students are parents not attending meetings held by teachers at school, students often forgetting to bring mutaba'ah books, and parents often forgetting to fill in mutaba'ah books so that children often fill in their mutaba'ah books. Based on this, the solution that is carried out to facilitate cooperation between teachers and parents is using continuous communication and frequent meetings to support the success of an activity that has been systematically compiled and planned.
