Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, all universities conducted online teaching and learning activities using online communication media. The purpose of this study is to explore in depth what are the uses of online communication media in Brawijaya University students and the influence of using online communication media on group work participation by Brawijaya University students. In this study, researchers used qualitative methods with semi-structured interview data collection techniques and analyzed using thematic analysis methods. In the thematic analysis method, there are six stages, namely (1) Understanding the data, (2) Creating codes, (3) Searching for themes, (4) Reviewing themes, (5) Defining and naming themes, and (6) Making analysis results. . After the researchers got the findings from the results of the analysis that had been done, the researchers conducted a research quality test to determine the quality of the results of the research made. In the research quality test, this study met two parameters, namely the depandability test and the confimability test. Based on interviews conducted by researchers, they found that the use of online communication media by Brawijaya University students was mainly for group work activities as Discussion and Tasks. As for the participation itself, online communication media have an impact on the participation, activeness, and motivation of students in conducting online group work activities.

Abstract

The transporter robot is one of the uses of wheeled robots to help activities in the industrial world. The use of robots carrying goods in the industrial world, especially in the logistics industry, is very much needed because robots can move and sort goods quickly and accurately and compete in warehouse automation to remain competitive and reduce costs. The design of the cargo carrier robot in this study will be based on a line follower robot that can read a Quick Response (QR) code. This system will be built using an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller as the main control with input coming from the gm66 sensor as a QR code reading contained in an object that is useful for determining the path planning chosen by the robot in deciding the direction to achieve the goal and the HYS301 line sensor as line detection on the track. This system uses PID control to stabilize the robot's motion when moving on a line and uses a path planning algorithm to determine the direction to be traversed by the robot. The test results on the gm66 sensor show that the ideal distance of sensor reading is at a minimum distance of 15cm, while the optimal reading distance for the HYS301 line sensor is at a distance of 3mm from the floor surface. The PID parameter values ​​obtained so the robot can move in a straight line are Kp = 3, Kd = 0.5, and Ki = 0.7. The time it takes to reach the rise time is around 0.2 seconds, and the time it takes to reach the settling time is 0.69 seconds. The path planning algorithm used is the same as the direction of the robot's motion when it is run. The accuracy results when using the first, second, and third path planning from the tests carried out have a value of 100% each.

Abstract

SSS Snack Agent is a small business engaged in the wholesale trade of snacks and beverages. Currently, the recording of inventory and sales transactions is still done manually, resulting in limited access to information and the risk of miscalculation or recording. In addition, checking expired goods is quite difficult for employees because there is no record of the expiration date of goods when received from distributors. In response to these problems, the solution offered is to develop an inventory information system and sales transactions to make it easier for employees to solve problems related to recording inventory and sales transactions, as well as checking expired goods. The system will be developed with a waterfall on a web system with codeigniter framework based on the PHP programming language. The steps taken include needs analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The results of the validation test get 100% valid results from 11 test cases. For the results of the user acceptance testing (UAT), the test was carried out on three actors. First, the owner actor with a UAT percentage value of 81%; second, the cashier actor with a UAT percentage value of 82.5%; and finally, the warehouse staff actor with a UAT percentage value of 84%.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the most significant component of waste based on waste sources comes from household waste. Based on the problems that exist in the Juanda Harapan Permai housing, there are still many residents who have difficulty managing waste. In addition, the ease of interface in an application design becomes an important factor for a good user experience. Therefore we need an interface solution for a platform that is flexible and can be accessed anywhere. This study designed an interface for the MyGarbage waste management application using the Human-Centered Design (HCD) method. In interface design, research results are obtained through wireframe, high fidelity, and prototype design. The results of the usability testing get results from the effectiveness aspect using the success rate metric of 88.67%, the results from the efficiency aspect using the Overall Relative Efficiency metric of 100%. The results from the satisfaction aspect using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method an average of 72,5 with Good and High Acceptable categories. The results of the evaluation of user experience using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), the attractiveness scale results in the Excellent category, the clarity scale in the Above Average category, the efficiency scale in the good category, the accuracy scale in the excellent category, the stimulation scale in the Excellent category, and the novelty scale in the good category. In the future, for further research, the application interface design is continued into coding stage.

Abstract

Scientific conference activities are a place for researchers to collect and share their research results. Scientific conference activities are beneficial for the participating participants, where they can get a lot of information about the research methods used to solve a problem. Because there are so many participating writers, reviewers and editors involved, proper management is needed to facilitate all participants in the conference activities. For this reason, it is necessary to design a system that can facilitate the services provided to participants so that they can follow the scientific conference process properly. One of the design methods that can be used is user-centered design. User-centred design is a user-centred design evaluation, focuses on the user and the overall user experience and involves the user throughout the design development process. The results of the design evaluation have been measured using usability testing which focuses on the aspects of effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction. The results of the effectiveness evaluation get a percentage of 97.8%. The percentage of efficiency is 97.8% and the user satisfaction aspect score is 72.5 and is included in class C which has a high acceptable level.

Abstract

Many office employees who live in Cikoko sub-district, Pancoran, stay in boarding rooms. Kos Bu Parjo is one of those that provides boarding rooms. Kos Bu Parjo still does the bookkeeping without a digital backup. The bookkeeping cannot be accessed when the notebook is not within reach, missing, exposed to water, or if a natural disaster occurs. To solve that problem, an Android application using Flutter framework and Firebase with Human-Centered Design method is developed. The main features of the app are occupant management, financial records, building management, room management, business management's account management, and backup and restore. The application went through validation testing with black box, usability testing with system usability scale, compatibility testing, and availability testing. Validation testing reveals that the application successfully fulfilled all 51 specified functional requirements, usability testing from 5 test subjects reveals the application is acceptable with an overall score of 77.75, compatibility testing reveals that the application successfully fulfilled the used Android version requirement, and availability testing reveals that the application's data recording features are operational even while offline.

Abstract

A service definitely requires a system that can help in running its business. Therefore, every business person can develop their business by using the system in it. D'Coin laundry is a coin laundry service company that was only established in mid-2021. In running his business already using the system that is available for free in the application store. But the use of such systems is still not fully used and focuses on manual recording because it is not in accordance with the wants and needs. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to design a system to handle the process of laundry services at D'Coin laundry, which can meet the needs, and provide a good experience for its users. This research uses a Human centered design (HCD) approach. The results of this study are in the form of prototype designs and evaluated with usability testing techniques. After the evaluation, the value of the effectiveness aspect was 100% in 3 respondents and 86% in 1 respondent. The results of the efficiency aspect in the owner respondent group were 100% and in the employee respondent group it was 89.8%. Then for the satisfaction aspect there are 3 problems. After that, prototype repairs were carried out in accordance with problems in the satisfaction aspect.

Abstract

SMKN 2 Blitar is a vocational school located in Blitar City. One of the existing facilities is the school library. The school library aims to support the activities of the school learning process. The library has activity functions including the management of book data, transaction data, member data, and report preparation. The function of these activities is still done manually so that an information system is needed to help the management process efficiently and effectively. Making a library information system does not only focus on content, but must consider user interface. The design of the user interface in this study uses the Human Centered Design (HCD) method to accommodate all the different needs of users. The Human Centered Design (HCD) method is a user-focused approach. Solution design user interface are evaluated using Heuristic Evaluation (HE) by the evaluator. This evaluation involves 2 types of evaluators, namely domain experts and system experts. The design of the user interface that was created resulted in 3 design views based on roles , namely library administrators, library users, and admins. The results of the evaluation of the user interface resulted in a total of 19 problems by the evaluator.

Abstract

Notary Office and PPAT Ade Suryatini is a notary office located in Grogol, Jakarta, which every day makes many deed documents based on requests from clients. Based on an interview with Ms. Ade Suryatini as a notary, there are two problems in the deed-making process, namely the difficulty of employees in finding deed documents that are being worked on or those that have been completed and the process of monitoring the deed document processing is still done manually. Therefore, a management information system and supervision of deed documents was made which can be a solution for both problems. System development is carried out using the waterfall model SDLC method with web-based implementation. At the requirements analysis stage, user requirements and functional requirements of the system are obtained which produce use cases. Then do the system design which includes sequence diagrams, class diagrams, database design and interface design. From database design and interface design, database implementation is carried out using mysql and interface design using the laravel framework. Then the last stage is testing the system that has been implemented using validation testing using blackbox testing which produces 38 test cases with 100% valid results and user acceptance testing testing which produces a final value of 99%.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the leading commodities in Indonesia because it has good market opportunities both at Indonesia and overseas. Coffee commodities often experience price fluctuations as a result of an imbalance between coffee demand and supply. One of the efforts to anticipate price fluctuations is to do price forecasting. Many forecasting methods can be used, such as Fuzzy Time Series and Long Short-Term Memory which are used in this study to predict coffee prices on the next day. This study will use data on prices for North Sumatra Arabica coffee from January 2020 to August 2021 which were obtained from the official BAPPEBTI's website. In this study, the MAPE value generated in the Fuzzy Time Series Average-Based Interval is 0.016 and the smallest MAPE value in the Long Short-Term Memory method is obtained when the learning rate = 0.00001 with an initial weight value of 0.5 which means obtained MAPE value of 0.06. The MAPE value of both methods is below 10, so it can be said that both methods are categorized as very good. It can be said that in this study the Fuzzy Time Series Average-Based Interval method has better accuracy than Long Short-Term Memory in forecasting the price of Arabica coffee in North Sumatra.
