Abstract

This research was conducted in response to a number of difficulties faced as well as the low level of interest in learning from grade 5 elementary school students in the context of science learning. This study focuses on the science learning ability of grade 5 students in elementary schools in response to the results of PISA 2018, Indonesian Education Report Card Data, and AKM Scores which show the low level of students' science literacy skills. Using the Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group design, experimental research was conducted to evaluate the impact of the application of Behavioristic Classical Conditioning Theory by I.P Pavlov in science learning. Class V students were divided into experimental and control groups with the Cluster Random Sampling Technique. The test method was used to collect science learning ability data, and the data analysis used the Polled Variance T test due to homogeneous data variance. The results showed a significant difference in science learning ability between the group that applied the Behavioristic Classical Conditioning Theory and the control group. The implications of this research provide a solid foundation for designing effective learning strategies in the future, focusing on curriculum development and learning approaches that can enhance students' understanding and interest in learning. As an effort to improve the quality of science learning in elementary schools, this research provides significant conceptual and applicative contributions.

Abstract

This research aims to understand farmers' habits in managing corn cob waste in Dusun Ngantru, Sekaran Village, Kasiman District, and to formulate strategies to optimize waste management. The main issue addressed is the suboptimal utilization of corn cob waste, despite its significant economic potential. Through a qualitative descriptive method employing snowball sampling technique, this study identifies farmers' habits, optimization strategies, and the impacts of corn cob waste management. The findings reveal that farmers' habits in managing corn waste are influenced by local traditions and knowledge. Optimizing the utilization of corn cob waste can lead to significant economic and environmental impacts, including increased income, reduction of organic waste, and enhanced environmental awareness. Optimization strategies include training, cross-sector collaboration, creative marketing approaches, and environmental awareness campaigns.

Abstract

Liver cirrhosis is a pathological condition of the liver that defines the end stage of hepatic fibrosis. Liver cell damage will lead to disruption of the liver structure and increased vascularization, causing enlargement of blood vessels in the gastric and esophageal areas. Liver cirrhosis is often caused by history of infection with hepatitis B virus or hepatitis C virus. Other causes include a family history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, and a history of autoimmune disease. Providing a liver diet as one of the standardized Nutrition Care Process (NCP) for this disease aims to achieve and maintain optimal nutritional status without burdening liver function. The purpose of the case study is to find out the process of standardized nutritional care process for patients with autoimmune and liver cirrhosis through providing a liver diet. The case study was conducted in September 2023 at patients in Hospital X Surabaya. After monitoring and evaluation, the patient’s energy, protein, fat, and carbohydrates intake domains increased even though they had not yet reached the fulfillment target (<80%), the patient’s biochemistry domain was not received because the monitoring time was short, the patient’s physical/clinical condition continued to improve until the third day. The progress of the patient’s recovery over three days always increases. Starting with the stabilized appetite, the food intake received by patient increases so the patient’s physical and clinical condition continues to improve.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how to formulate communication strategies and evaluations in employee recruitment at Foundation A. A descriptive qualitative approach with a constructivism paradigm. The research sample was job applicants using a purposive sampling method. The research data analysis process was carried out using method triangulation and data source triangulation. Based on the research results, the recruitment process carried out by Foundation A is still carried out normatively. Employer branding and company reputation have an important role in attracting potential job applicants to join Foundation A

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of HR services, facilities and promotions on customer satisfaction at PT. Asia Sakti Wahid Foods Manufacture Medan. The population of this research includes all customers during the 2022 period. The sample was determined using accidental sampling technique, so that there were 100 respondents. The research results reveal that simultaneously and partially there is a positive and significant influence between the variables of HR services, facilities and promotions on customer satisfaction at PT. Asia Sakti Wahid Foods Manufacture Medan.

Abstract

Road safety audits are an effort to improve safety and prevent traffic accidents. The implementation of the audit can be carried out by the survey method directly in the field and can use the Hawkeye car to get the International Roughness Index (IRI) value. The results of this study show that the condition of the road on the Kepandean Highway section with the IRI value of the route from the direction of SMPN 1 Dukuhturi is 6.5 while the IRI value of the route to SMPN 1 Dukuhturi is 6.3 so that it can be concluded that the road is in the medium category (not good) and requires periodic repair and maintenance efforts

Abstract

This study investigates the efficacy of the shadowing technique in enhancing students' pronunciation skills. The shadowing technique involves learners mimicking a native speaker in real-time to improve pronunciation accuracy and fluency. Through a controlled experiment with 31 students and 30 students as experimental group, the study evaluates the impact of shadowing on students' pronunciation proficiency compared to traditional teaching methods. The technique of collecting data was taken directly when the students said the words. Results indicate a significant improvement in pronunciation accuracy and fluency among participants who engaged in shadowing exercises, suggesting its effectiveness as a pedagogical tool for enhancing pronunciation skills. Implications for language teaching and learning are discussed.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the vulnerability analysis between Tenable Nessus Scanner and OWASP Zed Attack Proxy (ZAP) for improving the security of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) website at Universitas Merdeka Malang. The research methodology includes the use of both Nessus and OWASP ZAP tools to scan the HRIS website for potential vulnerabilities. The findings of this research indicate that OWASP ZAP identified several critical web application vulnerabilities such as the absence of Anti-CSRF tokens, lack of Content Security Policy (CSP) headers, and missing Anti-Clickjacking headers, which are essential for maintaining the security and integrity of user data. On the other hand, Nessus Scanner focused more on network and server infrastructure vulnerabilities. The results suggest that OWASP ZAP is more effective for web application security in this context. Recommendations are provided to address the identified vulnerabilities and enhance the overall security of the HRIS website.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe and explain social forestry scheme forest management in Jorong Simancuang, South Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province. The research method uses a descriptive approach with data collection through interviews. The Infoman consists of the Nagari Forest Management Institute (LPHN), the Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS), community leaders, companions of the Indonesian Conservation Group (KKI) Warsi and the Farmers' Group. The results of this research show that social forestry is present in the Jorong Simancuang Village community, strengthening the legitimacy of the community's desire to protect their forests as a source of water for agriculture and forests as a source of farming economy.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how big the role of stakeholders, in this case educational institutions, is in building public relations, especially at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau, and then to find out what participation is given by the community for the advancement of education. The method used in this research is a qualitative case study. The results of this research show that Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau implements good public relations management, able to make the community participate in advancing education at the institution.
