Abstract

Nowadays, 4G cellular service has become a basic need especially for campus communities. Information exchange and learning processes often utilize technology in this service. Block 6, floor 2 of the PCR campus consists of 2 lecturer rooms, 4 laboratories, 1 meeting room and 1 research room. Of course, this is one of the spots in PCR where 4G service is needed. Of the several 4G service providers in Indonesia, Telkomsel is the operator that has the most customers. 4G network performance can be seen in several parameters such as RSRP, RSRQ, CSFB, Throughput and SINR. These parameters are obtained through a process called Drive Test (DT). Drive Tests carried out by walking in closed areas such as inside buildings, malls, and such are called Walktests (Indoor Drive Tests). This research is focused on observing only one parameter, namely throughput. From this research, the maximum throughput value for Telkomsel's 4G network in Block 6, Floor 2, PCR Campus at the time of measurement (July 13 2023 at 16.43 WIB) was 2.18 Mbps. So when compared with the KPI set by Telkomsel, the throughput value in block 6, floor 2 of the PCR campus is in the "fairly good" category. Keywords: 4G, Drive Test, Throughput

Abstract

Cathodic protection is needed as corrosion mitigation in oil tanks on land to minimize internal and external corrosion. Corrosion problems that often arise in tanks are corrosion on the shell, roof and bottom. In this research, a corrosion protection system was designed for an olein storage tank with a capacity of 450 kL for one of the palm oil ship industries located in Kalimantan. The corrosion protection used is SACP (Sacrificial Anode Cathodic Protection) where active anodes are used to protect metal surfaces which are more passive against corrosion attacks. To provide good corrosion protection, sufficient current, number of anodes and correct placement are required. From the calculation results it was found that for the shell, the current required is 0.0102446 A with a total of 46 anodes and the placement of each anode is 5.36 m. For the same bottom and roof, each requires a current of 0.0103869 A with 7 anodes and a distance within a radius of 6.74 m.

Abstract

The distribution panel is a place to distribute and distribute electrical energy from the power panel to the load panel (consumer) for both power installations and lighting installations. The main problem with every disturbance or improvement in electricity usage is that people need to come to the area to control and monitoring the panel manually. This research focuses on the design and manufacture of control and monitoring devices at 3 and 1 phase loads, with the method using NodeMCU esp 32/8266 with pzem004t sensor as control and reading of voltage, current and frequency on the panel, which can be viewed and controlled offline at panel or online using the blynk application. The testing of the tool is carried out using a 3-phase motor, PC monitor, fan, laptop charger, and chicken lamp. By turning on the load one by one or simultaneously. From the test results, the tool can turn on and off online through the blynk application and manually using a push button. the results obtained are quite accurate with a maximum error percentage of 8.70%. However, the microcontroller between control and monitoring is used separately.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain optimal drilling machining parameters in response to tool life, surface roughness and response to the influence of electric current. Tool life is a derivative of the wear value obtained. The Taguchi method is often used to determine optimal quality in single response manufacturing processes. However, when there is more than one response, researchers often use the Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) method. This research was carried out on the response of tool life, surface roughness and the effect of electric current on Magneisum AZ31B type material using four factors and mix levels. The chisel diameters used are 8 mm and 10 mm. The spindle speed is set at 890 rpm, 1270 rpm, 1700 rpm and 2000 rpm, feeding uses values of 0.1 mm and 0.3 mm, while the point angles used are 118° and 135°. The optimal results obtained in this research were using a tool diameter of 8 mm, spindle speed of 890 rpm, feeding of 0.1 mm, and point angle of 118°. Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang memiliki peran dalam pembangunan ekonomi Indonesia. Berdasarkan data badan pusat statistik pada tahun 2021 produksi kelapa sawit merupakan produksi terbesar hasil perkebunan nasional. Provinsi Riau memiliki lahan perkebunan kelapa sawit terluas di Indonesia sebesar 2,86 juta Ha pada tahun 2021. Mayoritas penduduk di provinsi Riau melakukan kerjasama dengan tenaga kerja untuk mengelola dan memanen perkebunan kelapa sawit miliknya. Dengan lahan yang luas menimbulkan minimnya pengawasan dan sulitya data pelaporan hasil perkebunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan timbangan digital berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dalam hardware dan system. Sistem kerja timbangan dimulai dengan sensor loadcell yang mendeteksi massa beban, kemudian data analog yang diperoleh dikonversi ke digital oleh modul HX711 diteruskan ke mikrokontroler ESP32 dengan menggunakan jaringan wifi untuk pengiriman data ke database. Data yang terbaca oleh sensor ditampilkan pada aplikasi dan display timbangan, data yang tersimpan dapat dilihat kembali pada bagian log aplikasi. Abstract

Motorbike theft is increasing, causing concern and losses for vehicle owners. Preventing motorbike theft can be done by creating a prototype of an innovative motorbike safety device based on Arduino Uno which integrates global positioning system (GPS) technology, notifications and distance control via short message service (SMS). This tool uses Arduino Uno as the main control brain, with a NEO-6M GPS module to obtain accurate location information. The SIM800L V2 GSM cellular communications module is integrated to transmit location data and receive commands via SMS. Passive infrared (PIR) sensors for movement detection are also implemented to detect and respond to theft attempts. The system can provide notifications to motorbike owners via SMS messages when suspicious events occur, such as unwanted movements or attempted theft. Users can control certain functions such as turning off the vehicle using a relay as an electrical breaker in the vehicle. Tests are carried out to ask about location, notification response speed and general security of the tool. Testing the tool was carried out in several steps, firstly testing the SIM 800L function to see the cellphone's access speed in receiving signals, secondly testing the GPS NEO-6M to see the speed of accessing map sending, thirdly testing when the motorbike was moved to a certain point. This will see how fast the tool is designed to send signals via SMS. Based on tests carried out, this tool provides a fast response in the range of 8 to 80 seconds. Test results show that this tool can provide an effective handheld and innovative solution to improve motorbike safety through the advantage of simple but efficient technological integration.

Abstract

Not all situations allow for direct observation of the object being observed. This is due to several factors, such as distances that are too far or terrains that are too dangerous to reach, as well as weather and temperature conditions that are not supportive. Therefore, observation or measurement cannot always be done directly and continuously in these difficult-to-reach locations. To overcome these constraints, telemetry is used for long-distance measurement. However, telemetry requires an adequate transmission range. One efficient method for long-distance transmission is using Long Range (LoRa) technology, which has deficient power consumption. LoRa repeaters are required to forward data from the Node to the Gateway to extend the transmission range. In this study, a LoRa repeater was developed for LoRa communication using the LoRa TTGO ESP32 module. The results of this repeater development demonstrate its ability to forward sensor data from the node to the gateway with a range of up to 2.8 km and a data transmission delay of 0.7 seconds.

Abstract

There are many motor vehicle accidents on the road, one of the causes being tire blowouts. These accidents occur because drivers continue to drive their vehicles even though the tire pressure and temperature exceed the specified threshold. To address this issue, there is a need for a tire pressure and temperature monitoring system that can be continuously monitored by the driver. If there is a malfunction in the monitoring device on the vehicle dashboard, the driver can be alerted by others who also monitor tire pressure and temperature information remotely. In this study, we developed a tire pressure and temperature monitoring system for vehicles that can be accessed remotely using Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Additionally, we utilized Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology for pressure and temperature data reading. This system successfully monitors tire pressure and temperature changes remotely via computer and smartphone. Based on the test results, the best standard deviation value for tire pressure is 3.54, while the best standard deviation value for tire temperature is 1.72

Abstract

Voltage stability is one of the main concerns in the electric power system. One of them is related to the voltage sagging problem. The cause of voltage stability problems in the electric power system is the motor starting event. The current motor starting method that is often used is to use a VFD soft starter. There is another method to mitigate voltage sagging problems during motor starting events using the liquid starter technique which is still rarely used. The simulation results obtained show that by using a liquid starter there is a slight decrease in the voltage profile, low starting current, smooth start, little impact on the grid. This was proven in the application of a liquid starter using etap software and Matlab plotting. The smallest value of the voltage profile was 90.35% and the starting current was 6 times lower than the direct online method. From this application, the liquid starter method has proven to be much more effective in overcoming high voltage and current sags during motor starting events.

Abstract

Kerusakan jalan di Indonesia telah menjadi isu yang mendesak yang tidak hanya memengaruhi mobilitas masyarakat, tetapi juga berdampak serius pada keselamatan dan ekonomi negara secara keseluruhan. Berdasarkan data yang dirilis oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) pada tahun 2021, sekitar 31,9% dari total panjang jalan di Indonesia, yang setara dengan 174.298 km, dalam kondisi rusak. Dalam menghadapi permasalahan ini, Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) memiliki peran sentral sebagai instansi pemerintah yang bertugas mengelola infrastruktur jalan dan perumahan. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengusulkan sebuah solusi inovatif melalui pengembangan aplikasi yang diberi nama "JalanKu." Aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat berfungsi sebagai wadah yang memungkinkan masyarakat untuk melaporkan kerusakan jalan secara terstruktur, memfasilitasi interaksi yang transparan antara masyarakat dan Dinas PUPR. Pendekatan penelitian dilakukan dengan tahapan yang komprehensif, termasuk pengumpulan data dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif, analisis kebutuhan, serta penerapan teknologi inovatif seperti Internet of Things (IoT) untuk mendukung pendeteksian kerusakan jalan. Produk yang dihasilkan telah dilakukan validasi atau pengujian yang menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi efektif dalam mendeteksi kerusakan jalan dengan tingkat akurasi yang memadai, sedangkan dari sisi penggunaan masyarakat aplikasi mendapat nilai sempurna untuk segi daya tarik, efisiensi, dan ketepatan; serta nilai baik untuk segi kejelasan, stimulasi, dan kebaruan. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan Aplikasi Pendeteksi dan Pelaporan Kerusakan Jalan memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi langkah signifikan dalam menangani permasalahan kerusakan jalan di Indonesia. Dengan berkolaborasi secara aktif antara pemerintah, sektor swasta, dan masyarakat, maka harapannya dapat mencapai jaringan jalan yang lebih aman, efisien, dan berkelanjutan. Solusi ini juga mempromosikan partisipasi masyarakat yang lebih aktif dalam pemeliharaan infrastruktur, serta membuka peluang untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan pemerintah yang lebih cerdas dan tepat waktu dalam perbaikan jalan yang diperlukan. Dengan demikian, aplikasi "JalanKu" tidak hanya mengatasi masalah teknis, tetapi juga mendukung terwujudnya tata kelola pemerintahan yang lebih baik dalam bidang infrastruktur jalan di Indonesia
