The Biblio Couns Journal is a scientific journal in the field of Counseling and Education studies. The journal is published in three editions published a year, namely march, july, august. Biblio Couns is published by the Guidance and Counseling Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, and in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Guidance and Counseling Associations (ABKIN) with E-ISSN: 2620-3103. The purpose of the journal is to publish articles dedicated to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of counseling and education in all settings. The scope of the journal includes applications of school counseling, mental health, assessment, supervision in counseling, sexual harassment, violence supplementary counseling, multi-cultural counseling, crisis intervention, trauma counseling, ITC in counseling, career counseling, spiritual counseling, marriage and family counseling, counseling and psychotherapy, counseling in all backgrounds; Education (teaching, development, instruction, educational projects and innovations, learning methodologies and new technologies in education and learning, assessment). It was first published in 2018.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effort to improve students' emotional intelligence by applying the development of emotional intelligence based on development counseling models. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study was state high school students (SMAN) in Padang City, involving as many as 300 high school students as a sample. The instrument used was the Emotion Intelligence Scale inventory. The effectiveness test of the development of emotional intelligence based on development counseling is done through ANCOVA. The results showed that the development model of emotional intelligence based on effective development counseling.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that examines the use of e-learning in accounting students in the morning 8A accounting study program in the distance learning conditions due to the impact of the co-19 pandemic. Data collection uses data reduction steps, data display and conclusion making using interview techniques through telephone connections and deepening through WhatsApp chat. The results obtained are the level of respondents' understanding of the use of e-learning as a distance learning media as a whole at a rate of 70%, the level of willingness to continue the use of e-learning as a whole is at 25% while the level of need for the presence of lecturers in real is as much as 100%

Abstract

College is an accumulation of social-academic components that interact with each other and are pluralistic. Positive interaction between social and academic components can support individual well-being. This study focuses on the psychological construct (subjective well-being) of Javanese college students on two main sources of students, the social component (ethnic identity) and the academic component (academic identity). Partially, the results of this study indicate that only academic identity has a significant relationship with subjective well-being (r = 0.33, p <0.01). While using multiple linear regression analysis shows the results that ethnic identity and academic identity have a significant contribution to subjective well-being (F = 8.83, p <0.01). This finding has implications for primary student services to improve student subjective well-being.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling is an integral part of education. Through education, it is expected that students as a generation of millennial will be able to become creative and innovative people. In order to realize the goals of education, counselors in the delivery of services in schools contribute and contribute in efforts to help students carry out their developmental tasks. Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring techniques in individual counseling to reduce the smoking behavior of students in SMA N 1 Batipuh. This research is a Pre Experiment One Group Pretest Posttest Design model. The population is students of class XI IPA and XI IPS as many as 20 people, while the study sample is students of class XI IPA as many as 5 people and are indicated to have smoking behavior based on non rondom sampling techniques and recommendations from BK teachers. Data collection instruments are in this study a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques using non-parametric statistical tests using Wilcoxon rank test, hypothesis testing using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 20. The results of research that have been known from the results of the Z (Wilcoxon) test values show the difference between the pretest and posttest scores. From the Wilcoxon test calculation results obtained a significance value of Sig p-value of-2.032. Based on the applicable provisions, it is known that the Wilcoxon Sig p-value test result is 0.042 <α (α = 0.05) which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. From the calculation results of the Wilcoxon test it can be concluded that individual counseling using cognitive restructuring techniques can reduce student smoking behavior.
