Abstract

This study aims to improve the drama scriptwriting skills of students in class XI IPA 1 at SMAN 1 Penanggalan, Kota Subulussalam, Aceh, by utilizing short film media. The classroom action research was conducted at SMAN 1 Penanggalan, Kota Subulussalam, Aceh, specifically in class XI IPA 1. The study was carried out over three months, from August to October 2024. The research data consisted of interview results, test results, and observation sheets obtained from interviews, test implementation, and observations. The test results in the first cycle showed that the percentage of students who scored above the Minimum Competency Criterion (KKM) was only 63.33% of the total students in class XI. In other words, the test results in the first cycle indicated an improvement in student achievement from the pre-action stage, increasing from 33.33% to 63.33%. However, the test results in the first cycle did not reach the target of 75% of students scoring above the KKM. These results indicated the need for a second cycle to further enhance students' drama scriptwriting abilities. Subsequently, it was found that the percentage of students scoring above the KKM in the second cycle increased to 83.33% of the total students in class XI. In other words, the test results in the second cycle showed an improvement in student achievement from the first cycle, increasing from 63.33% to 83.33%. The test results in the second cycle exceeded the target of 75% of students scoring above the KKM.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Flipped Classroom on the learning outcomes and motivation to learn science of grade VI students at SD Negeri Karang Asih 06, North Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a Treatment by Level (2x2) design in two groups, namely the experimental group using the PjBL model assisted by Flipped Classroom and the control group using conventional learning. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests and learning motivation questionnaires. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental group were higher (83.38) than the control group (73.00). The independent t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups (p <0.05), as well as the learning motivation of students in the experimental group experienced a significant increase. These findings prove that the implementation of the PjBL model assisted by Flipped Classroom is effective in improving learning outcomes and student motivation in science subjects.

Abstract

The inquiry learning model that is the background of this study is a series of instructional exercises that emphasize the application of critical thinking and analysis of problems submitted based on teacher guidance. This study aims to determine whether the inquiry model has an effect on the writing ability of class IV SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya. A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent posttest only control design was used in this study. 27 students from class IV A and 28 students from class IV became the research sample. The results of the normality and homogeneity tests showed that the variance was not homogeneous and the data were not normally distributed. Therefore, the Mann-Whitney test was used in this study. Based on the "test statistics" table in the Mann-Whitney test, it obtained 0.001 <0.05, which is a 2-tailed significance level, so H0 is rejected. Therefore, it can be said that the writing ability of the experimental and control groups is different. So the inquiry learning model has an effect on the writing ability of class IV SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya, the formulation of the problem can be solved.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the integration between science and religion in the context of Islam, focusing on three main aspects of the philosophy of science: ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The scope of the research includes the analysis of the relationship between scientific knowledge and Islamic teachings, as well as the development of educational models that integrate the two aspects. The method used is a qualitative approach through library research, which involves the analysis of Qur'anic texts, Hadiths, and classical works of scholars. The results of this study show that the integration of science and religion can enrich human understanding of reality and provide a clear direction in the development of ethical science. This study finds that the bayani, burhani, and irfani approaches complement each other in building a holistic science paradigm. The conclusion of this study confirms that the separation between science and religion must be avoided, as they are both integral parts of the search for truth. Thus, Islamic religious education (PAI) needs to play an active role in bridging these two fields to produce a generation that is intellectually intelligent and morally wise.

Abstract

The animated film Nussa and Rara is a communication medium in the form of cartoon-style images or more precisely depicted cartoon characters which are very effective in conveying ideas in a unique way to provide inspiration, and also contains Pancasila education material, especially for elementary school students. This research aims to describe the extent to which Phase A teachers and students at SDN Sumur Welut III/440 Surabaya are able to apply the film media "Nussa and Rara" and to determine the feasibility of the film media "Nussa and Rara" which was developed in the Pancasila Education Subject. Phase A. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach where this approach describes the results of teacher activities and student activities in the Pancasila Education Subject Phase A. The subjects of this research were 1 teacher and 29 students. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation sourced from purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis technique in this research is through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of this research data is through a credibility test using triangulation techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of Assemblr Edu learning media on critical thinking skills on the material of plant body parts and their functions in grade 4 SD. Assemblr Edu is an application that provides three-dimensional work features and is based on Augmented Reality (AR). The research used a quantitative approach with the type of research Quasi Experimental Design using Nonequivalent Control Group Desaign. The research was conducted at SDN Keboananom, the sample was selected by purposive sampling in class four A experiment and four C control class. Data collection techniques through instrument tests on critical thinking indicators. Data analysis used independent sample t-test after conducting prerequisite tests, namely normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed a significant effect of Assemblr Edu learning media on critical thinking skills on the material of plant body parts and their functions in grade four elementary schools. For future researchers, it is recommended to further explore the use of technology-based learning media in a broader learning context.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze in depth the mathematical communication skills possessed by students at SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap in terms of the learning styles possessed by students with three learning styles, namely visual, auditory and kinesthetic. This research is a descriptive qualitative research method in the form of a case study. In this research, the case that will be studied is how mathematical communication skills in SPLDV material are viewed from students' learning styles. Data collection tools in research are questionnaires, tests and interviews. The subjects of this research were 26 students in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Kakap. In this study, it was concluded that students with a high auditory learning style had stronger mathematical communication skills, while students with a visual and auditory learning style experienced difficulties in mathematical communication indicators. It is hoped that these findings can help in formulating strategies to improve mathematical communication skills and learning style questionnaires in mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the improvement of physics learning in improving students' argumentation skills. The method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA analysis model. The process includes several steps, namely formulating research questions, conducting searches sourced from the Semantic Scholar Database, using three keywords, namely High school; scientific argumentation; Physics Learning in 2014 to 2024. Furthermore, the next stage is to conduct an initial filtering based on the year of publication, followed by a second filtering based on the research criteria to be analyzed. After that, an analysis of the literature published in 2014 to 2024 was carried out and the results were reported in this literature study. This study shows that students' scientific argumentation skills are crucial skills in physics learning that can be improved through learning models, because these models help students understand good argumentation structures and practice developing scientific arguments effectively.

Abstract

Rudimentary school understudies frequently battle with inventive considering, especially in communicating their thoughts and tackling issues autonomously. This confinement emerges due to immature cognitive capacities. To address this issue, the guided request learning demonstrate is actualized to make an intelligently learning environment that improves conceptual understanding. This ponder points to analyze the viability of the guided request show in progressing students' imaginative considering aptitudes in science learning, particularly on the subject of light properties in fifth-grade rudimentary school. A quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental plan, particularly a Posttest-Only Control Bunch Plan, was utilized. Course VA served as the test bunch that gotten guided inquiry-based instruction, whereas Course VC acted as the control bunch, proceeding with ordinary instructing strategies. Data was collected through a creative thinking posttest given after the treatment. The data analysis technique used in this research used the normality test, homogeneity test and T-Test. This research was processed using IBM SPSS 21 for Windows. The results of the hypothesis test using the t-test stated that the output results in the t-test for equality of means column showed a sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.098, because the sig value (2-tailed) is 0.98<0.05 or the significant value is smaller than 0.05. Ho is rejected, which means there is a difference. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the guided inquiry learning model on the creative thinking skills of fifth grade students at SDN Keboan Anom Gedangan Sidoarjo.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of the scientific approach on students' critical thinking skills in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning at Class 4C of SD Wachid Hasyim Surabaya (SD Plus), involving 16 students. The scientific approach includes observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating stages to encourage active student participation. This study employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques, including observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were conducted to record students' critical thinking skills during the learning process. Interviews with the teacher and students provided in-depth insights into the application of the scientific approach. Documentation strengthened the data from observations and interviews. The results indicate that the scientific approach enhances students' critical thinking skills, as shown by their ability to formulate problems, create hypotheses, analyze data, and conclude learning outcomes. These findings offer essential insights into teaching strategies that promote critical thinking skills in elementary school students.
