Abstract

The research conducted was motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving skills of sixth-grade students at SDN Kertosari 02 Madiun. The sixth-grade students had difficulty understanding the questions and translating word problems about fraction multiplication into mathematical sentences, thus failing to solve the problems. The type of research conducted was Classroom Action Research (PTK), which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle was carried out in two meetings. The research subjects were 19 sixth-grade students at SDN Kertosari 02 Madiun. This research was conducted in the mathematics subject on the topic of fraction multiplication. The research aimed to determine the implementation of planning, the execution of teaching by teachers and students, and the learning outcomes using the RME approach to improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of sixth-grade students. Data in this research were collected through observation, interviews, and tests. Based on the results of data analysis, the implementation of the learning planning stages increased by 11% from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The implementation of learning using the RME approach by teachers increased by 11%, while the implementation of learning using the RME approach by students increased by 10%. The application of the RME approach can improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of sixth-grade students at SDN Kertosari 02 in the topic of fraction multiplication. The classical mathematical problem-solving skills in the pre-cycle were 63%, in cycle 1 were 76%, and in cycle 2 were 86%, which falls into the very good category.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the decline in the application of cultural values of elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the cultural values of elementary school students on the Dongeng Kita YouTube channel and describe the implications of Indonesian language teaching materials on the Dongeng Kita YouTube channel in elementary schools. This type of research is qualitative with a content analysis method. This data was obtained through folklore videos on the Dongeng Kita YouTube channel and the results of the analysis of cultural values on the Dongeng Kita YouTube channel as implications of Indonesian language teaching materials in elementary schools. The data analysis of this study used the Milles and Huberman model. The results obtained from this study were that the cultural values contained on the Dongeng Kita YouTube channel include: 1) cultural values of human relations with God found two criteria, namely, piety and prayer, 2) human relations with nature found the use of natural resources to meet their daily needs, 3) human relations with society in the form of deliberation, 4) human relations with others include politeness, mutual assistance, compassion, and keeping promises and 5) human relations with themselves, namely self-confidence, patience, and hard work. The implications of the teaching materials used on the Dongeng Kita YouTube channel can be useful in the use of appropriate, enjoyable, efficient teaching materials, supporting the teaching and learning process in the classroom and helping to instill and develop students' character through the habits of the characters contained in the folk tales on the Dongeng Kita channel.

Abstract

The school environment plays a crucial role in student development, both in interacting with peers and creating a conducive learning atmosphere. However, field realities indicate that bullying disrupts the school environment, hinders the learning process, and threatens student well-being. The research utilises a literature review to explore bullying in elementary schools, including its impacts. For example, Kim et al. (2011) found a correlation between childhood bullying and later adolescent violence. Data from KPAI and FSGI highlight high bullying cases. It is expected to provide a deep understanding of this phenomenon and effective prevention strategies, potentially refreshing existing literature. The study results indicate that based on findings from various previous studies, factors such as personality, family environment, and school environment contribute to the occurrence of bullying behaviour. This behaviour has serious impacts, not only on victims physically and psychologically but also on their academic achievement and social well-being. To prevent and address bullying, schools need to implement effective strategies such as bullying prevention socialization, counseling services for victims and perpetrators, character education, and practising religious values. Thus, a comprehensive understanding of the bullying phenomenon and the implementation of appropriate strategies are expected to create a safe, comfortable, and conducive school environment for optimal student development

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan evaluasi berbasis keterampilanabad 21 dalam pembelajaran IPA di SDN Kapuk 08 Petang, dengan fokus pada pengembanganketerampilan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan kreativitas (4C). Metode penelitian yangdigunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, di mana data diperoleh melalui observasi danwawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru di SDN Kapuk08 Petang secara aktif menerapkan keterampilan 4C dalam pembelajaran IPA, menggunakan berbagaimetode evaluasi, seperti proyek kelompok, diskusi, dan presentasi. Siswa menunjukkan keterlibatan tinggidalam pembelajaran dan merespons positif evaluasi berbasis keterampilan abad 21 ini. Penerapan evaluasiberbasis keterampilan abad 21 terbukti memberikan dampak positif terhadap motivasi dan pemahamansiswa dalam belajar IPA. Guru juga mencatat bahwa pendekatan ini mendukung pengembanganketerampilan sosial dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, terutama ketika mereka bekerja dalam kelompokdan menyelesaikan tugas proyek. Meskipun terdapat tantangan, seperti menyesuaikan evaluasi untuk siswadengan berbagai tingkat kemampuan, guru mengatasi kendala ini dengan metode pembelajaranberdiferensiasi. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi berbasis keterampilan abad21 dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar, membekali siswa dengan keterampilanpenting yang relevan untuk kehidupan di masa depan.

Abstract

The low ability of students to think critically and creatively in elementary education negatively impacts the learning process, resulting in suboptimal outcomes. Education plays an important role for every student, especially primary school education, in developing critical thinking and creativity skills. In the era of Society 5.0, which is full of competition, students need to be aware of the rapidly advancing technological developments. Therefore, a technology-focused learning approach is needed. The STEAM approach is a learning method that can encourage students to enhance their information processing and communication skills for critical thinking, while also boosting their creativity in connecting various facts and phenomena encountered during the learning process. This research aims to analyze the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning approach in education, so that students can enhance their critical thinking and creativity skills. The research method used in this study is a literature review, by analyzing theoretical references from various Sinta journals that align with the implementation of the STEAM approach. This STEAM approach can improve students' critical thinking and creativity skills, enabling them to better develop their competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the talking stick leaming model on the learning outcomes of Grade VIII students in reviewing fictional works at SMP Negeri 1 Paguyaman. The research employs a quantitative approach using a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design.The population consists of all 111 eighth-grade students. The sample, celected through purposive sampling, includes 54 students: 27 students from Grade VIII.2 as the experimental group using the talking stick model and 27 students from Grade VIII. 4 as the control group using a conventional learning model. Data were collected through tests and analyzed using a t-test, with the data first undergoing normality and homogeneity testing. The findings indicate that the talking stick leaming model effectively enhanced student participation and motivation and improved learning outcomes in Grade VIil at SMP Negeri 1 Paguyaman. This is demonstrated by the results, where the experimental group (Grade VIII.2) had an average pretest score of 43.89, which increased to 83.70 in the posttgem.comnparison, the control group (Grade VIII.4) had lan average pretestscon The t-test results showed a significance a and a posttest score of 74.63. SP2-Tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating that HO is rejected accepted. This confirms a significant difference between the experimen and control&sups.

Abstract

The ultimate goal of learning mathematics is that students are able to formulate and express solutions to everyday mathematical problems. This means that innovations in learning mathematics must be in accordance with the environmental conditions of the education unit, in order to be able to answer problems in the environment. In addition, the government is also trying to form a Pancasila Student Profile meaning that students who have basic competencies and behaviors that are in line with the values of Pancasila. Hence, the researcher developed a math learning module containing the traditional units ‘liwut’ and ‘subur’ of Sikka Regency. This study aimed to determine whether the developed module was feasible to use in learning and whether it was able to foster global diversity profiles in order to succeed the Pancasila Student Profile. This research was a Research and Design study with the ADDIE model. The results of material expert validation obtained an average of 2.67, a feasibility percentage of 90.8%, and the results of media expert validation obtained an average of 2.65, a feasibility percentage of 88.33% and they were in the feasible category. Furthermore, the results of the product trial indicated that the average of student questionnaire response was 3.94, percentage of questionnaire response was 98.42% and they were in the very good category. Furthermore, the average results of the teacher response questionnaire were 3.84, the percentage of teacher questionnaire response was 96.08% and they were in the very good category. The percentage of the global diversity dimension questionnaire was 91.93% and it was in the very good category. The results indicated that the learning module was valid, feasible to use and able to foster a global diversity profile.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the active participation of 4A grade students at SDN 44 Ampenan in mathematics learning through the use of interactive media. The main issue addressed is the low student participation due to mathematics being perceived as a challenging and less engaging subject. This study employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle, learning activities were carried out without using interactive media, and observations showed that only 60% of students were actively involved. In the second cycle, interactive media, such as digital games like Wordwall and Spin the Wheel, were utilized to enhance student engagement, resulting in a significant increase in participation to 87%. The findings indicate that interactive media effectively enhance student participation and help them understand mathematical concepts more enjoyably. Therefore, the use of interactive media can be applied to create more engaging and effective learning experiences.

Abstract

This study analyzes the integration of the Jambi folktale "Lebung Pendam" into performing arts at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung, Muara Bulian, Jambi. Employing a case study method and qualitative approach, it explores how the folktale is adapted into music and dance performed by students. To ensure data validity, source and method triangulation techniques are utilized by comparing interview results, observations, and documentation. The study encompasses a description of the "Lebung Pendam" folktale, the integration process into performing arts, implementation of activities at the school, and the positive impacts generated. The findings indicate that integrating folktales into performing arts can enhance students' appreciation of local culture, enrich their creativity, and strengthen cultural identity within the school environment.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the application of Pancasila values in thehistory of the development of Klenang Nunggal Mahapati in the Pacor Kopongarea, identify the contribution of local communities, especially youth, in maintainingand preserving Klenang Nunggal Mahapati in accordance with Pancasila valuesand identify the impact of preserving Klenang Nunggal Mahapati on development.national character based on Pancasila values. Klenang is a traditional musical arttypical of Lombok that uses metal and rubber equipment to produce unique anddistinctive sounds. This music is often played at certain events, such as traditionalcelebrations, religious ceremonies and cultural festivals. The method we used inthis research was observation by direct observation and interviews with klenangartists who are still active. The results of this research show that the application ofPancasila values is very important in the history and preservation of the nunggaklenang, especially the values of unity and consensus deliberation where theexistence of these values can strengthen friendship between members and canproduce joint decisions related to the progress of the klenang this nunggal, apartfrom that, the contribution of the local community, especially youth, plays a veryimportant role in preserving this kelenang, the impact that occurs from preservingthis klenang on the development of national character is that the community bettermaintains culture and also maintains the values of Pancasila in behavior,especially the values of unity and deliberation and consensus in preservingKlenang Nunggal Mahapati as a cultural heritage
