Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

The issue of student’s learning outcomes is crucial to address by providing solution to brige learning gaps, such as tailoring teaching to individual levels of understanding. To address edicational challenges related to low learning outcomes, the outhor intends to implement the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach to improve student’s performance in Mathematics. The research subjects consisted of 27 second-grade students. This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative method was used to collect numerical data through surveys or questionnaires. Data collection included results from pretest and posttest conducted before and after the teacher implemented the TaRL approach in Mathematics lessons for second-grade students at SD N Pandeanlamper 03 Semarang. Overall, the study findings indicate that the implementation of the TaRL approach in Mathematics successfully enhanced the quality of learning. The TaRL approach proves to be a highly effective alternative solution for improving students’ learning outcomes, especially in understanding Mathematics, a subject often perceived as difficult by most student. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach effectively improves the Mathematics learning outcomes of second-grade students at SD N Pandeanlamper 03 Semarang. These findings suggest that TaRL could serve as a highly effective alternative for enhancing the quality of Mathematics education in primary school.

This research aims to determine the role of student care in improving the mental health and self-actualization abilities of Unika Soegijapranata students. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method, and data collection is carried out through interviews and literature study. Interviews were conducted with the management of Unika Student Care (USC), Soegijapranata Student Career Center (SSCC), students, and alumni of Unika Soegijapranata. From the research results, it was found that Student Care has a positive role in improving the mental health and self-actualization abilities of Unika Soegijapranata students, where students can finally overcome the problems they face and are able to go through lectures well, be more confident, and be able to graduate on time and be able to determine their future career.

This research was conducted to examine more deeply the role of teachers in maximizing the implementation of the independent curriculum at SDN 7 Palangka Raya. The independent curriculum itself aims to provide freedom to students in learning both choosing learning methods this is an evaluation of the previous 2013 curriculum. However, for this to work, it cannot be separated from the role of the teacher as a facilitator. The purpose of this study was to reveal teacher perceptions about optimizing the independent curriculum in elementary schools. This research method uses qualitative research by collecting data through interviews. The research location is at State Elementary School 7 Palangka Raya. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The instrument used was an interview sheet. The results showed that to maximize the role of the teacher requires, teacher expertise as a facilitator in supporting the learning process so that learning runs according to learning objectives. Teachers have a role in exploring the interests of each learner. Teachers provide more support for the achievements of individual students. So the role of the teacher is very urgent in the learning process. Teachers are responsible for the success or failure of learning because teachers not only transfer knowledge but more than that teachers must transfer good character. Because students will follow whatever the teacher exemplifies.

Studi ini menjelajahi bagaimana penguasaan bahasa Batak mempengaruhi kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia. Analisis ini difokuskan pada pengaruh bahasa ibu terhadap pemerolehan bahasa kedua, serta tantangan-tantangan yang dialami. Menggunakan metodologi kualitatif melalui wawancara dan observasi, peneliti mengeksplorasi apakah kemampuan berbahasa Batak meningkatkan atau mengganggu kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa ada manfaat positif seperti peningkatan pemahaman dan ekspresi, namun masih ada celah-celah dalam penggunaan kosakata. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa penyertaan bahasa ibu dalam kerangka pendidikan dapat meningkatkan keseluruhan kemampuan membaca tapi membutuhkan strategi integrasi hati-hati agar tidak menyebabkan kebingungan antara bahasa primer dan sekunder.

Pendidikan karakter dalam kurikulum nasional memiliki peran sentral dalam pembentukan generasi yang berintegritas dan bertanggung jawab secara sosial. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis keterkaitan pendidikan karakter dengan keadilan sosial di Indonesia, mengingat semakin luasnya kesenjangan sosial di masyarakat. Berdasarkan tinjauan literatur terbaru dan data empiris, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi sejauh mana pendidikan karakter diimplementasikan melalui Kurikulum Merdeka dan dampaknya terhadap tercapainya kesetaraan sosial di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, serta analisis kebijakan kurikulum dan kajian empirik yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dalam Kurikulum Merdeka mampu memberikan dampak positif terhadap nilai-nilai kesetaraan, namun mengalami kendala dalam penerapan akibat perbedaan kualitas dan akses pendidikan di daerah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Implikasi studi ini mengarah pada rekomendasi untuk pembuat kebijakan dalam mengembangkan kurikulum yang lebih kontekstual dan adil di setiap daerah. Artikel ini menawarkan perspektif baru tentang pentingnya pendidikan karakter dalam mendukung keadilan sosial di Indonesia.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis peran guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa melalui penerapan konsep kodrat alam dan zaman di SDN Pedurungan Kidul 04 yang mencakup beberapa hal, seperti, mengetahui sejauh mana peran guru dalam menerapkan konsep Kodrat Alam dan Zaman dan menganilisii bagaimana penerapan konsep Kodrat Alam kodrat Zaman terhadap prestasi akademik siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Adapun jenis pendekatan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Pedurungan Kidul 04. Obyek dari penelitian ini adalah Analisis penerapan konsep kodrat alam dan zaman di SDN Pedurungan Kidul 04, sedangkan subjek penelitian ini adalah bpk/ibu guru SDN Pedurungan Kidul 04. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data deskriptif, yaitu dengan cara menghimpun data-data faktual dan mendiskripsikan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa konsep kodrat alam dan zaman yang sudah diterapkan di SDN Pedurungan Kidul 04 berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan prestasi akademik siswa.

This study aims to improve the English learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN Uteran 01 Madiun through the implementation of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach using the traditional game engklek. The research employs a classroom action research method conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of the stages of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The results show that the application of CRT through the engklek game successfully enhanced students’ learning outcomes, as evidenced by an increase in the average student scores that exceeded the Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP). Furthermore, student motivation and engagement in the learning process also significantly improved. Thus, this approach can be an effective alternative for more contextual and meaningful English learning.

The lack of student involvement during the learning process is thought to be related to the communication between teachers and students that is not well established. This descriptive-quantitative research aims to prove whether teacher’s interpersonal communication has a significant relationship with students’ learning engagement in English subjects. To answer the research questions, the researcher first determined the Mean Score of each variable and then used it as a basis for determining its relationship. The respondents for this study were 83 students at Airmadidi Adventist Elementary School in grade 5 who took English Subject. The results of the analysis of the data obtained show that the English teacher exhibited the good interpersonal communication (M=4.35) and students practiced active involvement in learning (M=4.22). In addition, by using Pearson Correlation Product Moment, the results showed that there was a significant relationship between teacher’s interpersonal communication and students’ learning involvement in English subjects, with the value of p=0.00<0.05. Based on the results obtained, it is recommended that teacher should be more active in carrying out interpersonal communication with students to trigger student learning involvement during English learning.

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat di era digital telah memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap dunia pendidikan, terutama pada pembelajar usia dini. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh permainan edukatif Zoomaze terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Darul Achwan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest pada satu kelompok, melibatkan 15 siswa kelompok B sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi selama tahap pretest dan posttest. Hasil awal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar anak memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis yang rendah, dengan skor rata-rata pretest sebesar 28,6. Setelah intervensi menggunakan Zoomaze, sebuah permainan edukatif berbasis labirin yang dirancang untuk merangsang pemikiran logis dan strategis, hasil posttest menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat menjadi 43. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji t-paired sample mengonfirmasi adanya perbedaan signifikan (p < 0,05) antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Zoomaze secara efektif merangsang kemampuan berpikir kritis anak sambil menjaga keterlibatan dan kesenangan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menegaskan potensi teknologi pembelajaran interaktif untuk memenuhi kebutuhan perkembangan kognitif dalam pendidikan anak usia dini.

This research aims to Develop the Artistic Values of Can Macanan Kaddhuk to Increase Career Satisfaction for students of the Ibnu Katsir 1 Islamic Boarding School Jember. Through the art of Can Macanan Kaddhuk, students are introduced to the concept of local values that contain messages of wisdom, such as the importance of maintaining harmony, respecting nature, and maintaining social relationshipsThis module is designed with a research and development (R&D) method that involves several stages, ranging from needs analysis, design, expert validation, to limited trials. The results of the study show that this module is effective in developing the Arts Values of Can Macanan Kaddhuk in Increasing Career Satisfaction for Students. Mahasantri who take part in this module experience positive changes in their behavior, and attitudes. Thus, this module is expected to be one of the solutions to help students at PPA Ibnu Katsir 1 Jember in Increasing Career Satisfaction For the students of the Ibnu Katsir Islamic Boarding School 1 Jember
