Abstract

Pengudang Village is a tourist village located in Bintan Regency. The main tourist attraction in Pengudang Village is mangrove tourism. Mangrove tourism has its own charm for tourists, especially foreign tourists. Mangroves in Pengudang Village are very beautiful and their habitats are maintained, this cannot be separated from the participation of the community because their management is community-based. The importance of community participation in supporting the development of mangrove tourism, because effective development requires involvement (participation) from various parties (stakeholders), especially the community. Therefore, researchers are interested in researching "Factors Influencing Community Participation in Tourism Development in Pengudang Village Bintan Regency” The purpose of this research is to find out the driving factors and inhibiting factors for community participation in the development of mangrove tourism in Pengudang Village. The tools and materials used in the research are laptops, stationery, questionnaires, microsoft word software. The research uses qualitative research methods. Abstract

Kawal Village is one of the areas in Bintan Regency with a position bordering the sea. This area has an area of ??± 1630 ha of mangrove forest and swamp forest. The people of Kawal Village use mangroves as a place to find fish, mangrove crabs, and shrimp. This study aims to calculate and determine the total economic value of the mangrove ecosystem in Kawal Village. Analysis of the data used is economic valuation in the form of direct use value and total economic value. The condition of the mangrove ecosystem based on the value of direct benefits and indirect benefits shows that the mangrove ecosystem in Kawal Village is very helpful for the community both from the economy and existence. The total economic value of the mangrove ecosystem in Kawal Village is Rp7.729.044.095/year.
