Abstract

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University has an automatic gate based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) using employee and lecturer cards. However, it is still often found that vehicles are parked irregularly between the cars and motorbikes of employees and lecturers so that the parking space that should be able to accommodate more vehicles is limited. This service aims to implement a web-based parking reservation and monitoring system. Monitoring the availability of land and parking spaces is displayed in real-time on the website. In addition, users can make reservations on available land through the website online so there is no need to worry about the available parking space being used by other users. This system is placed in the parking lot of the Department of Electrical Engineering which consists of 20 parking slots that are installed in parallel and each slot area is equipped with sensors to indicate the presence of parked vehicles in the right place. Users can reserve a parking slot using a mobile phone that has been integrated with parking management. Parking slots that have been reserved by one user, cannot be used by other users. After the system is installed, demonstrations and socialization are carried out to students, lecturers, and staff of the Department of Electrical Engineering. With this parking access management system, the parking conditions are getting more regular and the security level is getting better because all vehicles that have access in and out are properly recorded.

Abstract

The government has a rice distribution program as assistance for low-income communities to support food security. The distribution of rice has several problems including the wrong size, allocation, price, distribution time, and at the time of distribution it is vulnerable to crowds. Even though in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, one way to prevent the transmission of the virus is to avoid crowds. For this reason, a Rice ATM is designed that can manage rice distribution using technology. Rice ATMs can also be used to distribute zakat or rice alms at Baznas or in mosques. Therefore, this service activity aims to socialize the Rice ATM and the procedures for its use to residents in Borongloe Village, Gowa Regency. The method begins with implementing ATM Rice then conducting outreach activities and giving questionnaires to determine the level of knowledge of the participants. From giving the questionnaire before the socialization activity, it was found that the majority of participants did not know about ATM Rice and after participating in the socialization activity, the majority of participants considered the use of ATM Rice to make it easier in terms of service.

Abstract

The Je'neberang River supports the lives of the people of Gowa and Makassar both ecologically and economically. Therefore, this river must be conserved starting from the upstream, downstream to the estuary, one of which is by assessing its trophic status. Trophic status is an indicator of the fertility level of water that can be measured from nutrients, chlorophyll-a content, brightness levels, and other biological activities that occur in an aquatic environment. This research-based community service aims to determine the trophic level status of the Je'neberang River which has been socialized to the community. Based on the output of data analysis obtained, this service activity is focused on educating partners, which is part of socialization. The method is divided into two stages, namely the stage of data collection and testing and the stage of socialization to partners. Socialization to partners is divided into four stages, namely preparation or pre-activity, preparation of socialization materials, implementation of socialization, and evaluation of the sustainability of activities. Socialization activities at the crossing location between Mallengkeri (Makassar) sub-district to the Taeng area in Gowa Regency. Socialization is in the form of countermeasures so that the rate of trophic level can be slowed down naturally, by not using the Je'neberang River as a waste disposal site. The condition of oligotrophic status on the Je'neberang River has been socialized to the community around river users, how important it is to maintain balance or nutritional conditions in the river to preserve the biota/organisms that live in the river.

Abstract

Learning media is an important element that acts as a tool in the teaching and learning process in the classroom which greatly affects students' interest in learning, especially in classes with mental retardation. However, there are still many uses of learning media that tend to be boring for students so that it affects the process of understanding the material. One solution to increase interest and motivation in learning for mentally retarded students to be more alive is by socializing the use of button boards as digital-based learning media for 10 class VI students with mental retardation at SLB Muhammadiyah Purworejo. This service is in the form of socialization which aims to provide new empirical knowledge and experiences for students with the nuances of digitalization technology. The implementation of this service is divided into 4 stages, namely the stages of analyzing, designing, designing, and implementing the use of the button board. Based on the results of the questionnaire that has been given, students experienced an increase in the curiosity aspect of the button board learning media by 30% and the aspect of students' understanding of the learning material increased by 10%. After the socialization, the students showed a response that the button board was very interesting and very helpful in understanding the material because their very great curiosity made their desire to try and learn higher. So it can be said that this service activity brings benefits and the use of the button board is considered effective and can be used as an alternative solution in classroom learning.

Abstract

The high cost of repair and maintenance of outboard engines is one of the big problems experienced by fishermen, their lack of knowledge about engine repair and maintenance results in them having to spend more money for their repair and maintenance costs. For this reason, the purpose of this service program is to train and guide the community on outboard engine repair and maintenance methods. The activity was carried out on August 21, 2021 in Topejawa Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency. This activity involved more than 20 participants from 2 (two) fishermen groups in Topejawa Village, Takalar. This activity was held in the coastal area of Topejawa Village and was opened directly by the Representative of the Marine and Fisheries Service of the Takalar Government. From the results of the qualitative analysis, it was found that before the activity was carried out, the understanding of the community/partners of the working principle and machine operation, as well as machine maintenance and repair techniques were in the range of 30-50%. After that, the proportion of people's understanding increased by 75-90%. In addition, the fishermen also save on the cost of repairing and maintaining boat engines, which in turn increases the productivity and welfare of the fishing community, especially in the place where activities was carried out.
