Abstract

There are still many students who are less motivated to do the assignments given when studying theory and practicum, both those given in class and those that are used as homework. The learning process will be more optimal if we can take advantage of the media around us. The purpose of this research is the use of outdoor study methods or methods outside the lecture room can increase student interest in attending lectures so that the objectives of the lecture can be achieved. The method in this study using classroom action research was carried out in 3 (two) cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings, each meeting time of 3 x 55 minutes. The population in the study of the Senior High School 1 Tanjung Jabung Barat. The research sample was in classes XII IPS 3 and XI IPS 4. The results showed that the outdoor study method was successful in increasing interest in learning, as seen by students being more enthusiastic in learning, more efficient, and effective, especially in geography.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to: 1) know the use of Problem Based Learning; 2) know the various ways of applying Problem Based Learning; and 3) know the use of media in learning. This research is a library research. Literature research is research whose data collection techniques are carried out by reading various literature related to information and relevance to research topics. Problem-based learning, hereinafter abbreviated as PBL, is one of the innovative learning models that can provide active learning conditions to students and the purpose of using learning media is to help teachers in conveying messages or subject matter to their students, so that the message is easier to understand, more interesting, and more enjoyable to students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the stages of the inquiry approach-based iSpring multimedia development procedure and to determine the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of inquiry-based iSpring multimedia. This research uses development research (R&D) procedures with the ADDIE development model. The data collection instruments used were documentation, interviews, questionnaires, and assessment of student learning outcomes. This research shows the following results: 1) the process of developing multimedia iSpring based on an inquiry approach in science class VIII is by the stages of the ADDIE model; 2) the validity level of iSpring multimedia products based on an inquiry approach in science subjects class VIII from material experts gets a percentage of 95.38% with very valid criteria, from media experts gets a percentage of 94.29% with very valid criteria, and from experts, the language gets a percentage of 92.5% with very valid criteria; 3) the practicality level of iSpring multimedia products based on an inquiry approach in science subjects class VIII from students is 92.72% with very practical criteria and from teachers is 94% with very practical criteria; and 4) the level of effectiveness of iSpring multimedia products based on inquiry approaches in class VIII science subjects shows the criteria of effectiveness. Based on student learning outcomes, t-count (37.399) > t-table (2.045), means that there is a significant difference between the pretest and Post-test scores. The results of the research show that iSpring multimedia based on an inquiry approach in class VIII science subjects at Junior High School (JHS) 1 Rambatan, Tanah Datar is appropriate to be used as a learning medium for class VIII students of JHS.

Abstract

This research started from the low student learning outcomes of PAI, this can be seen in the learning outcomes obtained by students, observations, interviews with teachers. This study aims to determine the effect of applying a problem-based learning model on the learning outcomes of class X PAI students of SMAN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam Padang Pariaman. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. The population in this study were all students of class X, totaling 248 and consisting of 9 classes. The sample used is selected based on values that have almost the same average. The sample in this study were students of class X IPS 3 as the experimental class and class X IPS 4 as the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the changes in the implementation of the bridal Balahak tradition in the Siulak community in Kerinci Regency, and to describe the causes of changes in the implementation of the bridal Balahak tradition in the Siulak community in Kerinci Regency. This study used a descriptive qualitative method by describing or describing the circumstances that occurred in the object under study, in this case, the change in the implementation of the bridal Balahak tradition in the Siulak community in Kerinci Regency. The results of this study were obtained by data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. This study found that several changes occurred in the bridal Balahak tradition in the Siulak community, the factors causing the change in the Balahak tradition were the times, economy, lineage or cultural contact, and the open nature of society.

Abstract

Cecah Inai is one of the processions performed in the Batam Malay Traditional Pre-wedding. Before the procession is carried out, usually in reaching a consensus, democracy is carried out, between Mak-Andam and the bride and groom's family. With the development of the democratic era that occurred in this marriage experienced a shift, where in the democratic era it was carried out through an agreement between the family and community leaders in the form of barter, and if the family did not carry out this Cecah Henna event, social sanctions would be received in society. At this time, democracy is undergoing changes that are only agreed upon by the families of the prospective bride and groom and are adjusted to economic factors or strata in society. If the family has the financial capacity, the family will carry out the pre-wedding procession as a whole and if not, then the procession will only carry out the most important parts, namely Curi Inai and Berandam.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze and examine the Zarah-Kubo procession, the development of Zarah-Kubo and the meaning of Zarah-Kubo on Eid al-Fitr in Koto Jayo Tanah Tumbuh Village, Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. This study uses a qualitative method. Informants in this study were the people of Bungo Regency Generally and Koto Jayo Tanah Tumbuh Village. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves and assisted with supporting instruments in the form of stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques were carried out using literature study, observation, interviews, and documentation. To ensure the validity of the data, the data was checked using extended participation techniques, observer persistence, and triangulation. The steps to analyze the data are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study are 1) the development of the Zarah-Kubo Tradition is the result of the thoughts, contents of the heart and what is believed by the executors of the Zarah-Kubo Tradition who are played to read the prayer readings of the Zarah-Kubo tradition where the prayer comes from holy verses Al-Qur'an; 2) the procession of the Zarah-Kubo Tradition in Koto Jayo Tanah Tumbuh Village has a sequence of processions starting from the beginning or preparing for the event starting from the annual meeting of the Koto Jayo village community led by the village head, Ninik Mamak and the Community The village to decide which son will lead the prayers during the pilgrimage, choose the gathering place, determine the community for Badua (to eat together) after the Grave Pilgrimage is over; and 3) The Meaning of the Zarah-Kubo Tradition which was carried out in Koto Jayo Tanah Tumbuh Village which has a very strong meaning in the Koto Jayo Village community because the people there really believe that the meaning of the Zarah-Kubo Tradition is not just a spectacle and also not just a tradition the people of the Growing Land, the meaning of the Zarah-Kubo Tradition itself is also a form of community gratitude to Allah SWT for giving him a long life to be able to feel the Eid al-Fitr and give prayers to relatives who have been left behind.

Abstract

Given the circumstances that occur in learning Mandarin, there is still a lack of teacher ability in developing learning media to increase the vocabulary skills of elementary school-age children and teachers are less creative in packaging interesting learning. This study aims to develop word wall media to improve the Chinese vocabulary skills of sixth-grade elementary school children. This research is development research that uses the 4D development model. The research subjects used consisted of 1 material expert, 1 media expert, and 2 linguists. Data collection methods in this study, namely observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire or questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the study, namely the assessment by learning material experts got a score of 94% (very good), the results of the learning media expert test got a score of 92% (very good), the results of the language expert test got a score of 96% (very good). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that word wall media which was developed to improve the Chinese vocabulary skills of sixth graders of elementary school is suitable for use in the learning process. This research implies that the media developed in the form of word wall media can be used by teachers to improve vocabulary skills in sixth-grade elementary school children.

Abstract

This study analyzes community participation in preserving the existence of the Kejei dance culture of the Rejang tribe through the arts community in the Selupu Rejang sub-district, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province. This research is qualitative. Methods of collecting data using research observations, interview methods, and documentation. The interview technique was carried out in an unstructured manner using interview guidelines. Research data analysis is descriptive. The results of data processing in this study show that efforts to preserve the Kejei dance of the Rejang tribe through the art community in the Selupu Rejang sub-district use three methods, namely protection efforts are an effort to maintain the existence of the Kejei dance so that it does not become extinct by conducting dance training Kejei every week regularly. Development efforts are carried out through the quantity aspect of the dance, namely the development of the number of actors (dancers), the number of users, and the number of regions that receive the Kejei dance. Third, efforts to utilize the Kejei dance as an effort to introduce the Kejei dance to the wider community that the Kejei dance must be maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development process, the level of validity, the level of practicality, and the level of effectiveness of developing video tutorial media for traditional dance materials in Cultural Arts lessons in Junior High School (JHS). There are three analytical techniques used to process data from product development, namely content analysis, descriptive analysis, and t-test analysis. The results of this study show that the development of video tutorial media in traditional dance masters uses the Research & Development (R & D) method with a model of development analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluate (ADDIE ). The results of the overall student response showed a very backward response because it was used without obstacles which had fatal consequences to the use of video tutorial media in traditional dance material, namely andun dance in cultural arts lessons. The results of the overall student response showed a very reversed response because it was used without obstacles which had fatal consequences to the use of medial video tutorials on traditional dance materials, namely andun dance in cultural arts lessons. The results of the questionnaire based on the effectiveness test on the development of video tutorial media found that many students like cultural arts lessons, students are more interested and motivated in learning by using video tutorial media, students tend to be active in learning and their curiosity increases. It can also be seen from the observation sheet that students' interest in learning with video tutorial media has increased.
