Abstract

Abstract: The 3T regions (Frontier, Remote, and Disadvantaged areas) possess diverse local products with high economic value. However, limited access to information and the absence of an integrated mapping system hinder these products from gaining wider recognition. This research aims to develop an integrated information system that can digitally map and present local superior products in the 3T regions, serving as a medium for promotion, management, and strategic decision-making. The methodology applied is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which enables faster, more flexible system development tailored to user needs. The results show that the developed system is capable of displaying product data based on geographic areas, providing detailed information regarding product descriptions, categories, and potential, as well as ensuring easy access through digital platforms. This system is expected to enhance the visibility of local superior products, expand market reach, and promote sustainable economic development in the 3T regions. Keywords: Information System, Local Superior Products, 3T Regions, Mapping, RAD Abstrak: Daerah 3T (Terdepan, Terpencil, Tertinggal) memiliki potensi produk lokal yang beragam dan bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Namun, keterbatasan akses informasi dan kurangnya sistem pemetaan yang terintegrasi menyebabkan produk unggulan tersebut sulit dikenal secara luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi terintegrasi yang dapat memetakan dan menyajikan data produk lokal unggulan di daerah 3T secara digital, sehingga dapat menjadi sarana promosi, pengelolaan, dan pengambilan keputusan strategis. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang memungkinkan pengembangan sistem lebih cepat, fleksibel, dan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dibangun mampu menampilkan data produk unggulan berbasis wilayah, menyediakan informasi terperinci mengenai deskripsi, kategori, dan potensi produk, serta mendukung akses yang mudah melalui platform digital. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan visibilitas produk lokal unggulan, memperluas pasar, serta mendorong pengembangan ekonomi daerah 3T secara berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi, Produk Lokal Unggulan, Daerah 3T, Pemetaan, RAD

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic control system for the operation of the Air Conditioning System (AC) in Kilo Classroom at Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. The main problem addressed is the inefficient use of AC due to user negligence and the lack of an automated system. The system integrates DHT22 temperature sensors, PIR motion sensors, ESP32 microcontroller, SSR 40A relay module, and Blynk application as the user interface. Testing results show that the system can detect human presence and room temperature to automatically turn the AC on or off, while also providing manual control options via smartphone. The system has proven to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and support the campus’s sustainability efforts. The findings indicate that the system is feasible for implementation and holds potential for further development on an institutional scale. Keywords: Air Conditioning, Energy Efficiency, ESP32, IoT, Automation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem kontrol otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk pengoperasian Air Conditioning System (AC) di ruang Kelas Kilo Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah penggunaan AC yang tidak efisien akibat kelalaian pengguna dalam mematikan perangkat serta tidak adanya sistem otomatisasi. Sistem ini mengintegrasikan sensor suhu DHT22, sensor gerak PIR, mikrokontroler ESP32, modul relay SSR 40A, dan aplikasi Blynk sebagai antarmuka pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat mendeteksi keberadaan pengguna dan kondisi suhu ruangan untuk menghidupkan atau mematikan AC secara otomatis, serta memberikan opsi kontrol manual melalui smartphone. Sistem ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi energi listrik, mengurangi pemborosan, dan mendukung keberlanjutan operasional kampus. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini layak diimplementasikan dan berpotensi untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut dalam skala institusi. Kata kunci: Air Conditioning, Efisiensi Energi, ESP32, IoT, Otomatisasi.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the implementation of a control and monitoring system for Standing Floor Air Conditioners (AC) and CCTV based on the Internet of Things (IoT) at the Auditorium of Medan Aviation Polytechnic. The research background stems from the high electricity consumption of AC units operated manually without an integrated monitoring system, which often leads to energy waste when the AC remains on in an unoccupied room. The proposed solution integrates a Smart Miniature Circuit Breaker (Smart MCB) and CCTV with the Tuya Smart platform, enabling real-time AC control via a Smartphone application, automated scheduling, and remote visual monitoring of room conditions. The research method applies an R&D approach using the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The designed system can display AC ON/OFF status and power consumption in real time, send disturbance notifications, and allow remote control. Testing results show a reduction in electricity consumption after system implementation, as well as improved monitoring effectiveness and room security. This system increases energy efficiency, reduces operational costs, and enhances building security. The study also serves as a reference for the development of IoT-based electrical technology in other public facilities. Keywords:  Internet of Things, Tuya Smart, Smart MCB, Standing Floor AC, Energy Efficiency. Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas implementasi sistem kontrol dan monitoring Air Conditioner (AC) Standing Floor serta CCTV berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) di Gedung Auditorium Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh tingginya konsumsi energi listrik pada AC yang dioperasikan secara manual tanpa sistem pemantauan terintegrasi, sehingga sering terjadi pemborosan energi ketika AC tetap menyala di ruang kosong. Solusi yang dikembangkan adalah integrasi Smart Miniature Circuit Breaker (Smart MCB) dan CCTV dengan platform Tuya Smart, yang memungkinkan pengendalian AC secara real-time melalui aplikasi Smartphone, penjadwalan otomatis, serta pemantauan visual kondisi ruangan dari jarak jauh. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Sistem yang dirancang mampu menampilkan status ON/OFF dan konsumsi daya AC secara real-time, memberikan notifikasi gangguan, serta mengizinkan kontrol jarak jauh. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan adanya penurunan konsumsi daya listrik setelah implementasi sistem, serta peningkatan efektivitas pengawasan dan keamanan ruangan. Dengan adanya sistem ini, efisiensi energi meningkat, biaya operasional berkurang, dan keamanan gedung lebih terjamin. Penelitian ini juga menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan teknologi kelistrikan berbasis IoT di fasilitas publik lainnya. Kata kunci: Internet of Things, Tuya Smart, Smart MCB, AC Standing Floor, Efisiensi Energi.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that impacts children's physical growth and development and is a public health challenge in Indonesia. This study integrates Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and K-Modes Clustering to map the nutritional status of toddlers in stunting cases in Asahan Regency. EDA was used to explore data distribution, identify relationships between nutritional status indicators, and identify risk factor patterns, while K-Modes was used to group toddlers based on shared categorical characteristics. The dataset used included sociodemographic variables (gender, age category, parental education and occupation) and nutritional status indicators (weight/age, height/age, weight/height). The analysis results showed a moderate positive correlation between weight/age and height/age (0.32) and a strong negative correlation between weight/age and weight/height (-0.50), indicating a link between stunting and wasting. The application of K-Modes resulted in three main clusters: Cluster 0, dominated by female toddlers with normal nutritional status but low parental education; Cluster 1 consists of infant girls with low weight for age and short height for age, despite most parents having a high school education; Cluster 2 contains infant boys with very low weight for age and very short height for age, and relatively low maternal education. The profile of each cluster was analyzed to identify dominant characteristics relevant for intervention. This integrative approach demonstrates that the combination of EDA and K-Modes is able to provide a comprehensive picture of variations in toddler nutritional status, thus serving as a basis for planning more targeted promotive and stunting prevention strategies at the regional level.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to design an automatic buggy vehicle driver system based on the ESP32 microcontroller at Medan Aviation Polytechnic. The system is designed to enhance the operational efficiency of campus vehicles, enabling them to operate autonomously without requiring a direct driver. The ESP32 microcontroller serves as the central controller, regulating the DC motor for steering, pneumatic motors for gas and brake pedals, and a motor driver to control the current to the motors. The system's performance testing showed that the power required for the pneumatic motors (gas and brake) is 36 watts, and for the DC motor steering, it is 72 watts. Turning tests at a 90° angle and braking tests, where the braking distance was reduced by 10 cm after calibration, indicated that the system operates as expected. These tests confirmed the system's responsiveness and accuracy in automatic operation. Technical challenges in testing, such as adjusting sensor sensitivity and calibrating the pneumatic system, were addressed through repeated trials. This research contributes to the development of vehicle automation in educational settings and offers potential for further advancement, such as integrating LiDAR and GPS sensors for improved navigation accuracy. Keywords:  Automatic Buggy Vehicle Driver, Microcontroller, ESP32, Control System, Vehicle Automation Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem penggerak mobil buggy otomatis berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32 di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. Sistem ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional kendaraan kampus yang dapat bergerak secara otonom tanpa memerlukan pengemudi langsung. Mikrokontroler ESP32 digunakan sebagai pusat kendali, mengatur motor DC untuk setir, motor pneumatik untuk pedal gas dan rem, serta motor driver untuk mengatur arus motor. Pengujian kinerja sistem menunjukkan daya yang dibutuhkan untuk motor pneumatik gas dan rem sebesar 36 watt, serta 72 watt untuk motor DC penggerak setir. Pengujian belokan pada sudut 90° dan pengujian pengereman yang dipersingkat 10 cm setelah kalibrasi menunjukkan kinerja yang sesuai harapan. Pengujian ini mengonfirmasi responsivitas dan akurasi sistem dalam pengoperasian otomatis. Tantangan teknis dalam pengujian, seperti pengaturan sensitivitas sensor dan kalibrasi sistem pneumatik, berhasil diatasi melalui uji coba berulang. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan otomasi kendaraan di lingkungan pendidikan dan berpotensi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut, seperti penggunaan sensor LiDAR dan GPS untuk meningkatkan akurasi navigasi. Kata kunci: Penggerak Mobil Buggy Otomatis, Mikrokontroler, ESP32, Sistem Kendali, Otomasi Kendaraan

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the relationship between work discipline and employee performance on customer satisfaction at Senorita Coffee Medan. Good work discipline is considered one of the key factors influencing employee performance, which in turn can have a direct impact on the quality of service delivered to customers. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method, in which data were collected through questionnaires distributed to both employees and customers. The findings indicate that a high level of work discipline contributes positively to the improvement of employee performance. Optimal employee performance has been proven to significantly enhance customer satisfaction. These results are expected to provide valuable insights for the management of Senorita Coffee in formulating strategies to improve service quality through the enhancement of work discipline and employee performance. Keyword: work discipline, employee performance, customer satisfaction, service quality, Senorita Coffee Medan. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara disiplin kerja dan kinerja karyawan terhadap kepuasan konsumen di Senorita Coffee Medan. Disiplin  kerja yang baik dianggap sebagai salah satu faktor penting yang mempengaruhi  kinerja karyawan, yang pada gilirannya dapat berdampak langsung pada kualitas pelayanan yang diberikan kepada konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan  pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, di mana data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada karyawan dan konsumen. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa disiplin kerja yang tinggi berkontribusi positif terhadap  peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Kinerja karyawan yang optimal terbukti  meningkatkan tingkat kepuasan konsumen secara signifikan. Temuan ini  diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi manajemen Senorita Coffee dalam  merumuskan strategi peningkatan kualitas pelayanan melalui peningkatan disiplin  kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Kata kunci: Disiplin kerja, kinerja karyawan, kepuasan konsumen, kualitas pelayanan, Senorita Coffee Medan.

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses the application of the Naïve Bayes classification method to assess student performance based on exam result patterns at SMK Swasta Animah Silau Laut. The data used were obtained from students' e-report scores, which were then analyzed using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The results showed that this method can classify students into 'Good', and 'Poor' categories with a fairly high level of accuracy. This study is expected to help schools carry out more objective evaluations and support decision making processes to improve the quality of education. Therefore, the application of the Naïve Bayes method is expected to assist the school in gaining a comprehensive and objective understanding of students’ academic achievements, which can serve as a solid foundation for making informed decisions regarding the planning of learning improvement strategies and other academic policies. Furthermore, this research is expected to provide a reference for future studies related to the implementation of data mining or machine learning techniques in the education field, particularly in predicting and classifying student performance. Keywords: Naïve Bayes, Classification, Data Mining, Student Performance, Education Evaluation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas penerapan metode klasifikasi Naïve Bayes untuk menilai kinerja siswa berdasarkan pola hasil ujian di SMK Swasta Animah Silau Laut. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dari nilai e-raport siswa yang kemudian dianalisis dengan algoritma Naïve Bayes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ini dapat digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan siswa ke dalam kategori 'Baik' dan 'Tidak', dengan tingkat akurasi yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu pihak sekolah dalam melakukan evaluasi yang lebih objektif dan mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan terkait peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode Naïve Bayes diharapkan dapat membantu pihak sekolah dalam memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh dan objektif terkait capaian akademik siswa, sehingga dapat menjadi dasar yang kuat bagi pengambilan keputusan yang tepat dalam perencanaan strategi peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran maupun kebijakan akademik lainnya. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine how discipline, safety, and occupational health (OHS) affect employee performance at PT. Lestari Alam Segar, an instant noodle manufacturer in Indonesia. Employee performance is crucial for improving the company's production output, as discipline and the implementation of OHS are key factors in creating a safe and efficient workplace. The researcher will use a quantitative research method with an associative approach. Data will be collected through a questionnaire that will be announced to all employees, then analyzed with several tests such as validity, reliability, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results of the study indicate that discipline, safety, and occupational health simultaneously positively and significantly influence employee work ability. Individually, discipline is the main factor influencing work quality, while occupational safety and health also make a significant contribution. These findings indicate that improving discipline and consistently implementing OHS standards are crucial for driving optimal employee performance and supporting the achievement of company goals Keywords: Discipline, Occupational Safety, Health (K3), Employee Performance, PT.                  Lestari Alam Segar Abstrak: Penelitian untuk meneliti bagaimana disiplin, keselamatan, dan kesehatan kerja (K3) mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan di PT. Lestari Alam Segar, perusahaan produsen mi instan di Indonesia. Kinerja karyawan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi perusahaan, karena disiplin dan penerapan K3 merupakan faktor utama dalam menciptakan tempat kerja yang aman dan efisien. Peneliti akan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Data akan dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang akan dibagikan kepada seluruh karyawan, lalu dianalisis dengan beberapa uji seperti uji validitas, reliabilitas, regresi linear berganda, uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa disiplin, keselamatan, dan kesehatan kerja secara bersamaan memengaruhi kemampuan kerja karyawan secara positif dan signifikan. Secara individual, disiplin merupakan faktor utama yang berpengaruh terhadap kualitas kerja, sedangkan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja juga memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan. Abstract

Abstract: The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has driven progress in electrical device monitoring and control systems, especially in single-phase installations. This research aims to design and implement an Android-based single-phase electrical load monitoring and control system by utilizing the PZEM-004T sensor to measure voltage, current, and power in real-time. This system uses two microcontrollers, namely Arduino Nano as the main processor of sensor data and ESP32 to send data to the Blynk application via a WiFi connection. The Blynk application serves as a user interface, enabling remote monitoring and control of electrical loads through a smartphone. Three PZEM-004T sensors are used to monitor three separate load channels, while a 4-channel relay module acts as an actuator to control the ON/OFF status of each load. The system was tested under various load conditions to verify the accuracy of the sensor readings and the responsiveness of control commands via Blynk. This system is not only effective for monitoring and controlling power usage efficiently, but it also holds great potential as a learning tool in the fields of electronics and IoT-based electrical system applications for residential or laboratory environments. Keywords: Internet of Things, ESP32, PZEM-004T, Load Monitoring, Power Control  Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) telah mendorong kemajuan dalam sistem monitoring dan kontrol perangkat listrik, terutama pada instalasi satu fasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring dan kontrol beban listrik satu fasa berbasis Android dengan memanfaatkan sensor PZEM-004T untuk mengukur tegangan, arus, dan daya secara real-time. Sistem ini menggunakan dua mikrokontroler, yaitu Arduino Nano sebagai pengolah utama data sensor dan ESP32 untuk mengirimkan data ke aplikasi Blynk melalui koneksi WiFi. Aplikasi Blynk digunakan sebagai antarmuka pengguna yang memungkinkan monitoring data dan pengendalian beban secara jarak jauh melalui smartphone. Tiga sensor PZEM-004T digunakan untuk memantau tiga saluran beban yang berbeda, sedangkan modul relay 4 channel digunakan sebagai aktuator yang mengontrol status hidup atau mati masing-masing beban. Sistem diuji dengan berbagai variasi kondisi beban untuk memastikan keakuratan pembacaan sensor dan kecepatan respon kontrol melalui Blynk. Sistem ini tidak hanya efektif untuk mengontrol dan memantau penggunaan energi listrik secara efisien, tetapi juga sangat potensial untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam bidang elektronika dan pemanfaatan teknologi IoT pada instalasi listrik rumah tangga atau laboratorium. Kata kunci: Internet of Things, ESP32, PZEM-004T, Monitoring Beban, Kontrol Daya

Abstract

Abstract: Airfield Lighting System is a vital component in ensuring airport operational safety by guiding aircraft movements during takeoff, landing, especially at night or in poor weather conditions. However, the learning process of the AFL system at Medan Aviation Polytechnic has not yet been supported by interactive learning media that accurately represent real conditions. This study aims to design an IoT-based AFL learning tool that can be used by cadet of the Airport Electrical Engineering Study Program as a practical learning tool. The method employed in this study is Research and Development (R&D) based on Sugiyono’s framework, up to the product trial phase. The develop tool consist of an ESP32, LEDs to represent AFL lights, and is controlled via the Blynk application. This device can simulate various types of AFL lights, such as threshold, taxiway and PAPI with wireless control functionality. The testing result indicate that the tool performs well in turning the lights on and off according to user commands. Through this media, cadets can gain both visual and practical understanding of the configuration and working principles of AFL, which is expected to improve their readiness for On the Job Training..Keywords: Airfield Lighting System, Internet of Things, learning tool, Arduino, Blynk Abstrak: Airfield Lighting System merupakan komponen vital dalam keselamatan operasional bandara yang memandu pergerakan pesawat selama tinggal landas dan mendarat, khususnya pada malam hari atau cuaca buruk. Namun, proses pembelajaran sistem AFL di Politeknik Penerbangan Medan belum didukung oleh adanya media pembelajaran interaktif yang merepresentasikan kondisi yang sebenarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang media pembelajaran AFL berbasis Internet of Things yang dapat digunakan oleh mahasiswa program studi Teknik Listrik Bandar Udara sebagai alat bantu praktikum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) berdasarkan tahapan dari Sugiyono, hingga tahap uji coba produk. Alat yang dirancang terdiri dari ESP32, LED sebagai representasi lampu AFL, serta dikendalikan melalui aplikasi Blynk. Perangkat ini mampu mensimulasikan berbagai jenis lampu AFL seperti threshold, taxiway dan PAPI dengan kontrol yang dapat dilakukan secara nirkabel. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat berfungsi dengan baik dalam menyalakan dan mematikan lampu sesuai perintah pengguna, Dengan media ini, mahasiswa dapat memperoleh pemahaman visual dan praktis terhadap konfigurasi serta prinsip kerja AFL, sehingga diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesiapan mereka menghadapi On the Job Training. Kata kunci: Airfield Lighting System, Internet of Things, media pembelajaran, Arduino, Blynk
