Abstract

This study aims to formulate a synergy model between sustainable tourism and the blue economy in the coastal areas of East Lombok Regency. The background of this research is based on the great potential of coastal areas that are rich in marine resources but still face environmental degradation, low community welfare, and the suboptimal utilization of marine potential. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature studies, field observations, and interviews with stakeholders, including local government, tourism actors, coastal communities, and academics. Data were analyzed by adapting the Indonesian Ocean Health Index (IKLI) and Ocean Health Index (OHI), as well as SWOT analysis to identify opportunities, challenges, strengths, and weaknesses in the development of blue economy-based tourism. The results show that East Lombok coastal tourism has great potential through marine tourism, ecotourism, fisheries, and salt farming. However, the implementation of the blue economy concept is still not optimal due to limited infrastructure, institutional capacity, and coordination among stakeholders. The proposed synergy model emphasizes integration between environmental conservation, local community empowerment, and sustainable policy support. This research contributes to strengthening the literature on coastal development and serves as a reference for sustainable tourism policy development in East Lombok.

Abstract

This study explores the role of parents in fostering children’s independence through toilet training in early childhood education programs. The research aims to analyze how parental involvement, collaboration with teachers, and environmental factors influence the success of toilet training among children aged 4–6 years. A qualitative descriptive method was used, involving in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation at several PAUD institutions in Bekasi. Data were analyzed through thematic coding and triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal four major themes: (1) daily routines and consistency in toilet training help children develop self-control and autonomy; (2) collaboration between parents and teachers strengthens consistency of practices across home and school; (3) supportive physical environments and emotional encouragement significantly enhance children’s readiness; and (4) successful toilet training contributes to broader aspects of independence, confidence, and social interaction. The study also identifies inhibiting factors such as inadequate facilities, differing home–school routines, and limited teacher–child ratios. These findings align with Erikson’s psychosocial theory of autonomy versus shame and doubt and Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory, which emphasize the role of consistent microsystem interactions in early development. The study concludes that successful toilet training is not merely a physical skill but a foundational process in building children’s autonomy and emotional regulation. The implications suggest that early childhood institutions should integrate toilet training into their independence curriculum, strengthen parent–teacher collaboration, and ensure child-friendly facilities.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of the Discussion-Based Learning (DBL) model to enhance students’ interpersonal intelligence in the Aqidah Akhlak subject at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Jambi City. The research was motivated by the low level of engagement and cooperation among Grade IX E students, which highlighted the need for a learning strategy that could optimize social interaction in the classroom. Employing Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, the study involved three cycles, each consisting of two meetings. Data were collected through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results revealed a steady improvement across the three cycles. Teacher activities increased from 73.43% in Cycle I to 87.5% in Cycle II, and 92.96% in Cycle III, while student activities rose from 72.65% to 85.15% and 92.18% respectively. Student test scores also improved, with averages of 73% in Cycle I, 77% in Cycle II, and 86% in Cycle III, meeting the expected success indicators. These findings suggest that the DBL model effectively enhances interpersonal intelligence, with students achieving a “good” category of 86%. In conclusion, the DBL model offers a practical and effective learning strategy to foster interpersonal intelligence, character development, and social skills among Madrasah Tsanawiyah students.

The preparation of this paper uses a philosophical approach in legal research, by analyzing the prevailing flats regulations in Indonesia. In this case, there is no single regulation that is the legal umbrella of condotel. The implication of this is that it creates legal uncertainty for owners and parties who want to invest through condotel. In addition, Constitutional Court from Decision No. 62/2022 concerning the transformation of apartment into the condotel is the misusage of the Apartment, in addition, there is the punishment, it is could be revoke the SHMSRS as its property right. So, reform is needed in providing legal certainty for condotel. In this case, both to provide a basis for legal certainty for condotel and a prohibition on their existence in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze two mainstream media outlets, detik.com and kompas.com, in framing the alleged exploitation and violence against former Oriental Circus Indonesia (OCI) performers. The analysis was conducted using the Pan and Kosicki framing method, which encompasses four structures: syntactic, rhetorical, thematic, and narrative. Furthermore, the 5W+1H approach was used to explore the basic elements of the reporting. The results show that the two media outlets present very different narrative constructions. Detik.com emphasizes the voices of victims with a human interest approach, framing the issue in the context of conflict between institutions and individuals, and calling for state intervention through human rights institutions. In contrast, kompas.com constructs a narrative of self-defense from the institutional perspective by emphasizing historical legitimacy, visual evidence, and a rhetorical approach focused on clarifying and restoring the reputation of OCI management. These differences in framing demonstrate how the media not only convey facts but also pay attention to public perception through the choice of language structure, narrative perspective, and specific communicative objectives. This research underscores the importance of critical awareness of media framing in issues involving moral conflicts, human rights and institutional interests.
