Character education is a process that never stops. The government may change, but character education must continue. Character education has challenges and problems that must be solved during online learning during Covid-19, namely the misuse of time and smartphones by children, the difficulty of parents dividing their time in accompanying their children, as well as the difficulty of parents meeting online learning facilities are examples of problems caused by the learning process. online. The purpose of this study was to see the influence of the role of parents on the development of early childhood character during the COVID-19 period. The results of the study show that the role of parents in early childhood character education during the Covid-19 pandemic is very influential. It is important for parents to be involved in the learning process at home, providing information, guidance so that children remain in the development of children's character education during this Covid-19 pandemic. Parental war becomes very important in the development of children's character to be ready to face the world in the future.Keywords: the role of parents, character education, early childhood, the Covid-19 pandemic

The background of this research is the phenomenon of Karang Taruna Batuang Sarumpun, Batuang Taba Village, Lubuak Bagaluang District, Padang City as the only Youth Organization that has a Minangkabau cultural arts community in which randai training, in which the program management is well managed. This study aims to determine the meaning of randai training in terms of program management aspects, namely: setting goals, determining participants, determining facilitators, determining learning methods, determining and presenting material, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. This type of research is a qualitative research with a case study method. The data sources in this study consisted of research informants, namely the training manager and the randai participants themselves. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation with data analysis used, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions as well as the validity of the data from research conducted with extended participation, persistence of observation, and triangulation. The results showed that: (1) Karang Taruna Batuang Sarumpun Padang carried out randai training activities with the program management running well; (2) The purpose of this randai training activity has been carefully discussed, namely to preserve Minangkabau cultural arts that are carried out and introduced to the younger generation; (3) Determination of training participants selected from every RT in Batuang Taba Village, the participants are at least grade 2 junior high school and the maximum is not limited; (4) The selection of facilitators is chosen from professional trainers who already have experience in training Minangkabau traditional arts; 5 Determination of learning methods in randai training is determined by the facilitators themselves, namely in the form of lecture methods, and practical methods; (6) The determination and presentation of the material from this randai training is left to the randai facilitator himself; (7) The activities are carried out in the secretariat room of the Youth Organization itself, starting at 20.00 WIB until 21.30 WIB every Thursday and Sunday; and (8) The monitoring and evaluation of the randai training is carried out during the randai training activity process, for the evaluation of the participants is carried out when they will appear for the baralek event and competition

This research was motivated by the low competence of graduates of sewing training at the Mukomuko Bengkulu Job Training Center. This is because the competence of graduates is still lacking. This research aims to; (1) describe the competence of sewing training graduates at the Mukomuko Bengkulu Job Training Center, (2) describe the job choices of sewing training graduates at the Mukomuko Bengkulu Job Training Center, (3) and see the relationship between competence and job choices for sewing training graduates at the Mukomuko Job Training Center Bengkulu. This type of research is quantitative correlation with the population, namely the graduates of the second and third batches of sewing training in 2020 at the Mukomuko Bengkulu Job Training Center as many as 32 people. The technique used for sampling is using saturated sampling technique. The sample in this study was taken as much as 100% totaling 32 people. For data collection using a questionnaire technique, while for data collection tools using a questionnaire in the form of statement items, and then the analysis in this study uses percentages and product moments. The results of this study indicate that; (1) the competency of sewing training graduates at the Mukomuko Bengkulu Job Training Center is still low (2) the job choice of sewing training graduates at the Mukomuko Bengkulu Job Training Center is also still low, and there is a significant relationship between competence and job choice of sewing training graduates at the Job Training Center Mukomuko Bengkulu. This study was motivated by Anggrek’s competency certification agency (LKP) which has B accreditation and its competency has been valid at the ASEAN level (Malaysia, Singapura, Thailand, Vietnam, etc.) This study is aimed to determine the competency certification and competence of the trainees at LKP Anggrek Padang, especially to describe the benefits of certification of the competence of the trainees. This study using qualitative research method using a case study approach. According to Cresewell (2010) qualitative research has its own character. This means that qualitative research is carried out in natural setting and the writer is used as the main instrument in research activities and data collection focus on meaning according to participant words. The source data of this study are; LKP supervisor, instructors, and training assistants and participants. Techniques of data collection used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data of this study is used triangulation of data sources. The result of this study are; (1) competency certification can be obtained by training participants by fulfilling certain stages, participating in training activities with predetermined time, (2) competency of training participants can be seen by conducting competency test activities.Keywords: competency certification, competency of trainee

This study aims to describe how the efforts of housewives in increasing family income through staying up late online in Tanjung Harapan District, Solok City. This type of research in descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection methods in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this research are hoisewives who do business online trading with the criteria of housewives who sell donuts, claw firecrackers, boba and salad. The results of research conducted on housewives in increasing family income through online trading business during the pandemic in Tanjung Harapan District, Solok City indicate that the efforts made by housewives in helping their husbands increase family income use social media accounts to promote their wares such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram social media accounts.Keywords: Efforts of Housewives, Dual Roles, Increase Income

This research is motivated by the use of gadgets by children of SMP Angkasa Lanud Padang City is classified as not good, it is suspected that this is due to low parental supervision in the use of gadgets by children. This study aims to describe parental supervision, describe the use of children's gadgets, and see the relationship between parental supervision and the use of gadgets by children at SMP Angkasa Lanud Padang City.This type of research is quantitative while the approach used is correlational. The population in this study were all students using gadgets who attended SMP Angkasa Lanud Padang City totaling 144 people. While the sampling technique used the Simple Random Sampling technique, as many as 25% of the 144 students, namely 36 students. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire distributed to junior high school students, while the data analysis technique uses the Percentage and Product Moment formulas. The results of this study indicate that parental supervision is classified as low, the use of gadgets is classified as lacking, and there is a significant relationship between parental supervision and the use of gadgets by junior high school students. Suggestions, parents should supervise junior high school children who are carried out at night by controlling, educating, maintaining, guiding and evaluating.Keywords: Parental supervision, use of gadgets

This research was motivated by the implementation of majelis taklim activities during the Covid-19 pandemic by following health protocols. This study aims to determine the description of the planning, know the description of the implementation, and know the description of the existing supervision in the activities of the Taklim Assembly during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with an ex post facto approach. The subjects of this study were members / jama'ah of the Al Ittihad Al Ittihad Assembly Activities in Pauh Subdistrict, Padang City. The population was 44 people and a sample of 3 administrators and 30 members / jama'ah were taken from 70% of the total population using the Simple Ramdom Sampling technique. Data collection tools in this study using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study was to use the percentage formula. The results showed that the activities of majelis taklim during the Covid-19 pandemic were categorized as good in terms of planning, implementation, monitoring aspects. Suggestions from this research are expected that majelis taklim activities will continue to run well and be further improved in planning, implementing, and supervising activities.Keywords: activities, assemblies, taklim

Against the backdrop of the successful use of avocado breeding training learning media in the West Sumatran Agricultural Training Center. This study aims to see the description of the use of learning media based on the accuracy of the use of media with learning objectives, the accuracy of the use of media with learning materials, the accuracy of the use of media with the understanding of the participants, the accuracy of the use of media with learning methods, the accuracy of the use of media with facilities and infrastructure/locations in West Sumatra Barat Training Center. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 60 people. The collection technique uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used the percentage technique. The results of this study indicate that (1) the accuracy of the use of media with learning objectives is obtained at 100% intervals, (2) the accuracy of the use of media with learning materials is obtained at 99% intervals, (3) the accuracy of the use of media with participant understanding is obtained at 99% intervals, (4) the accuracy of the use of media with learning methods is obtained at 99.9% intervals, (5) the accuracy of the use of media with facilities and infrastructure/locations is obtained at 99% intervals in the very high category.Keywords: Use of Learning Media, Education and Training

The background of this research is the low social behavior of adolescents in Nagari Lunang 2, Lunang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency, which is thought to be caused by the application of character education in the family which is still low. This study aims to describe the social behavior of adolescents, describe the application of character education in the family, and see the relationship between the application of character education in the family and the social behavior of adolescents in Nagari Lunang 2. This research is a quantitative correlational type. The population in this study were all teenagers who were of junior high school and high school education age. Sampling using area random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire or questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and product moment correlation. The results of this study indicate that the application of character education in the family is low, the social behavior of adolescents is not good, and there is a significant relationship between character education in the family and the social behavior of adolescents in Nagari Lunang 2. Research suggestions are suggested to parents and the community to increase their role in the application of character education to children in the family environment, and it is recommended for family empowerment institutions to decide a policy, especially in order to improve the ability of parents to implement character education in the family. This research is motivated by the existence of plastic waste recycling activities in the community. The goal is to empower the community through skill activities so that they can increase knowledge, increase family income and prosper the people of Pasia Nan Tigo Village. The purpose of this study is to describe community empowerment through plastic waste recycling skills seen from the process, form and supporting and inhibiting factors in community empowerment.This research is using a qualitative approach, the research method is a case study. The sources of data in this study are the people of Pasia Nan Tigo Village who are members of the BIDARMU waste bank as research subjects and the head of the waste bank as research informants. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The technique of data validity is by using triangulation of sources and methods.The results of the study show that (1), the process or stages of community empowerment are planning, implementation, mentoring and evaluation, (2), forms of community empowerment in the form of knowledge, independence and cooperation, (3), supporting factors are positive responses from members, active chairman, support family and availability of materials. While the inhibiting factors are the lack of attention from the government, marketing problems and family problems.Keywords: Community Empowerment, Plastic Waste Recycling Skills
