Abstract

The goals to be achieved by the researchers is to know the results of the implementation of group guidance services in order to increase the confidence of students X.7 SMA Negeri 1 North Sungkai. The research was an action research applied in the service of BK then called (PTL) consisting of two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. This study was conducted at X.7 class consist of 10 students. The collecting data  method used observation and field notes. Researchers define of success criteria 75% in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) No. 19 In 2005, the National Education Standards. This study used data analysis techniques of quantitative and qualitative. The conclusions of this research is through group guidance services can increase the confidence of students, its seen from the results of studies showing that (1) through the Group Guidance service is able to increase confidence of students amounted to 48.75% (the first cycle an average aspect self-confidence by 27.5% and an average second cycle aspects of confidence 76.25%). (2) Guidance services through group-confidence of students can be increased from the first cycle to the second cycle in which the student is considered complete if it has reached the number ≥ 8 students.

Abstract

The facts illustrate that the vocational school teachers in Metro City has not had a high professional competence. The problem of this research are: (1) Is there a relationship between the perception of school leadership with the professional competence of teachers? (2) Is there a relationship between achievement motivation and professional competence of teachers? and (3) Is there a relationship between the perception of school leadership and achievement motivation together with the professional competence of teachers? This study was conducted in SMK Metro City from August to October 2015. This research used survey method. Populations studied are vocational teachers in Metro City. Samples were taken randomly by randomized to 153 people. The data were analyzed with regression and correlation techniques. The finding of the analysis are follows: (1) There is a positive relationship between the perception of principal leadership with the professional competence of teachers. Conceptually it can be stated that the proper perception of the principal leadership, the higher the professional competence of teachers, (2) There is a positive relationship between achievement motivation and professional competence of teachers. Conceptually it can be stated that the higher the achievement motivation, the higher the professional competence of teachers, and (3) There is a positive relationship between the perception of principal leadership and achievement motivation together with the professional competence of teachers. By increasing together, both perceptions of principal leadership and achievement motivation, it will also increase the professional competence of teachers.

Abstract

Self- autonomy needs to be developed in the children’s early ages. The main conditions in facilitating the early children to be aotonomous are self confidence on their own abilities and strength. Giving complement can be one of the other gaod ways to train the children’n self-autonomy from their early ages. Complement is a form of showing love and care. The children’s early ages are the best moment to develop their self-autonomy as they are still in their sensitive psychological growth and their basic life skill development. Training the early children on self-autonomy by giving complement can triger them to do positive things and optimally develop all the potentials  with their own awareness

Abstract

Several studies have shown that collaboration among teachers in Lesson Study (LS) activities was able to create the quality of learning mathematics more professional. Along with this, it turns out collaboration between partners becomes essential for the success of teaching special needs students (ABK) in inclusion class. Thus, in this study, researcher try to apply LS activities in the implementation of mathematics in the classroom. The aim of this study was to find out matters relating to: (1) Obtaining a complete description of the needs of the crew in mathematics, (2) Obtain an overview of the implementation lesson Study model in inclusion school, (3) Obtain package individual learning model (individual Educational Program [IEP]) for ABK in junior high school of mathematics inclusions, and (4) The implementation of the LS models in mathematics learning in the inclusion classroom. This study use the development (research development) method which consisting of five stages. In the first stage is study of literature, planning and development. In the second stage  conducted LS implementation, revision, and expansion. The findings of this research are expected to be used as a reference in the implementation of LS in the inclusion classroom. In addition, provide input to the local government of Metro City in educational policy, especially in the organization of inclusion.

Abstract

The use of the approach is very important in the success of learning. The learning activity will effective and efficient if supported by the proficiency teachers that organize learning approach. How to set teacher’s approach in learning activity is very influential to the way students learn. The research aims are: (1) Developed a model of learning, i,e the application of card problem and process skills approach, (2) Increasing the ability of students to aswer the question, (3) Increasing the activities of students in the learning process, (4) Increasing the performance of the teacher. The data collection is done through observation, quistionaire,interview, test, and documentation. From the analysis of the data, it was obtained the conclusion that learning by using card problem and process skills approaches were able: (1) To contribute positively to improving the ability to answer the question of Bahasa Indoneesia subjects, (2) To incease the active partipsipation of students in the learning process, (3) To improve student learning outcomes, and, (4) To provide a positive influence on performance improvement of teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine effect of learning model Conceptual Change Based Instruction (CCBI) and Generative Learning Model (GLM) and critical thinking skills to the learning outcomes of acid-base.The research was conducted in SMA Bakti Mulya 400 lesson year 2015-2016. In this study were randomly selected sample (cluster random sampling). Data of learning outcomes and critical thinking skills are collected in the form of multiple-choice written test type. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and two ways ANOVA. Based on research, it was found. First there is a difference in student learning outcomes significantly between models CCBI with GLM model (F = 4.288, p <0.05), the second there is a difference in student learning outcomes significantly in the group of students with high critical thinking skills among models CCBI with GLM model (F = 4.34, p<0.05), the third there was no difference in student learning outcomes significantly in the group of students who have the ability to think critically low between models CCBI with GLM model (F = 0.194, p<0.05), and the fourth there are significant interaction between the learning model with the ability to think critically (F = 5.122, p<0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the results of the implementation of group counseling services in overcoming the difficulties of learners grade class VII.D Junior High School (SMPN) 2 North Sungkai Odd Semester Academic Year 2013/2014, guidance services group can overcome the difficulties of learners class VII .D SMPN 2 North SungkaiOdd Semester Academic Year 2013/2014. The study designs using follow-services research. The subject in this study is VII.D grade students of SMPN 2 North Sungkai Odd Semester Academic Year 2013/2014. With a number of 10 students from 36 students. The method used in collecting data by observation and field notes. The analysis of the data used quantitative and qualitative data. The results obtained through the implementation of group counseling services in overcoming the difficulties of learners class VII.D SMPN 2 North Sungkai Odd Semester Academic Year 2013/2014, is visible seen from the changes to learn and the ability of learners in understanding the subject matter, have the drive and the need to learn, to remember the subject matter well. Through group counseling services provided by the teacher BK can overcome the difficulties of learners grade class VII.D SMPN 2 North Sungkai Semester Odd Academic Year 2013/2014. There was a decrease of learning difficulties of students in the first cycle seen from the average percentage is 26.7% and the second cycle by 75%, leading to a decline in learning difficulties amounted to 48.3%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the social values in Sordam novel by Suhunan Situmorang. The researcher cited the data in the form of sentences, paragraphs and dialogues that contained in the novel which has some social values such as positive social and negative social values.  The method that used in this research was descriptive qualitative method with content analysis technique, that is by analyzed the letters, words, sentences and verse that can explain some social values in this novel. Since the data that analyzed was in the form of sentences and qualitative, the authors used qualitative data analysis, based on the content and structure of the existing sense. Therefore, in analyzing the data and drawing the final conclusion, the authors used formulas statistical and hypothesis testing. Based on the research finding and discussion, it concluded that there were 72 quotations in Sordam novel by Suhunan Situmorang that containts of two social values, the first is positive social values and the second negative social values. The researcher suggested the reader and students to further study in various theories related to social values in a novel in order to broaden the knowledge of the readers and not just read the novel as an alternative entertainment.
