Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, teenage students carried out online/home learning, and most of them had problems in implementing it. The aim of this research is to identify factors related to stress levels during home learning. A correlational descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach and a total sampling technique was carried out in April 2021. The population in this study was 322 students in class XI at SMAN 10 Bekasi with a sample of 153 respondents. Univariate results show that the majority of respondents (43.8%) have normal stress levels, 67.3% of respondents have type B personality, 68% of respondents have parental support, 38.6% of respondents experience sometimes poor internet connection, and 74.5% respondents used the blended learning method. Bivariate analysis of this research using the Chi Square and Kendall's Tau-C tests showed that there was a significant relationship between personality type (pvalue 0.002) and family support (pvalue 0.027) with stress levels, and there was no relationship between internet connection (pvalue 0.586) and learning methods (pvalue 0.539) with stress levels. Conclusion: The respondent's stress level is influenced by a person's personality type and the presence of family support. It is recommended that educational institutions know students' personality types so that they can assist them according to their characteristics and strong motivation from the family and school environment.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an acute viral infectious disease caused by the dengue virus found in the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This mosquito is the fastest growing in the world and infects nearly 390 million people each year. To prevent its development, insecticides such as abate powder are used. Natural insecticides such as fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius) to avoid this impact. This study aims to determine the ability of fragrant pandan leaf powder used as a larvicide against the death of Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. The research method uses an experimental design with a Post-Test Only Control Design. The sample was third instar Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae as many as 25 larvae in each treatment. Fragrant pandan leaves are made in the form of powder which is put into a tea bag, the powder is divided into 3 doses namely 2.5 grams, 3 grams and 3.5 grams. The analysis used the One way of ANOVA statistical test and the probit test. The results showed that there were differences in the dosage of pandan leaf powder in killing Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae (p value = 0.000). In conclusion, pandan leaf powder can be used as a larvicide in killing Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. It is recommended that people use fragrant pandan leaf powder as a larvicide and use a higher dose in order to kill 100% of the larvae.

Abstract

Farmers in the Nagari Simpang Tanjung Nan IV, Solok Regency, are using synthetic pesticides to achieve good agricultural results. Inappropriate pesticide application practices, such as mixing multiple types of pesticides simultaneously, using incorrect dosages, and spraying more than three times a day, have become commonplace. Residents living next to their farmlands have wells as their primary source of clean drinking water, which are located within the agricultural area. This situation poses a contamination risk to the community. The objective of this research is to analyze the risk of lead (Pb) content in well water within the agricultural area of Kenagarian Simpang Tanjung Nan IV. The research design employs the Environmental Health Risk Analysis (ARKL) method. The research findings indicate that Pb concentrations in the water range from 6,735 mg/L to 53,492 mg/L, exceeding the quality standards set by the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. A significant portion of the population frequently experiences health issues, with an intensity of 66.7%. The average lifetime Risk Quotient (RQ) is 1.11, indicating a risk of pesticide poisoning in the community. Therefore, it is recommended that the community limits the use of pesticides and uses boiled water for daily consumption in an effort to minimize the danger of exposure to heavy metal Pb entering the body through water.
