Abstract

The quantitative research that has been carried out aims to explore the role of absorptive capacity as a mediator and risk taking as a moderator in the influence of entrepreneurial leadership, knowledge search, and innovation performance in Culinary SMEs in Rembang Regency. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling of 82 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the SEM-PLS method. The research results reveal that knowledge search and absorptive capacity have a significant effect on innovation performance. However, entrepreneurial leadership does not have a significant effect on innovation performance. Apart from that, absorptive capacity is proven to only play a mediating role in the influence of knowledge search on innovation performance. The next valuable finding namely risk taking is unable to moderate this influence. This research indicates that Rembang Regency Culinary SMEs can use research findings as a reference for increasing innovation performance by using absorptive capacity and knowledge search.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of religiosity on university students' interest in using mobile payment services through the extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The research objective is to examine how perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived security (PS), and religiosity (R) impact mobile payment adoption among students in Islamic universities in Yogyakarta. Data was collected from January to March 2024 via a Google Form questionnaire involving 203 students from Islamic universities in Yogyakarta. The quantitative analysis was performed using Smart-PLS. The findings indicate that among the four exogenous variables, only perceived usefulness (PU) significantly and positively affects mobile payment adoption, highlighting its crucial role in influencing student adoption decisions. Conversely, perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived security (PS), and religiosity (R) showed positive but insignificant effects on mobile payment adoption. Limitations include the relatively small sample size and the focus on a specific demographic, which may affect the generalizability of the results. Future research should explore a larger and more diverse population, include additional variables such as cultural and socioeconomic factors, and employ longitudinal studies to better understand the dynamics of mobile payment adoption over time.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the factors influencing stock return. The criteria for sample selection in this study are companies in the Kompas 100 index that publish complete financial reports. The sample in this study consisted of 82 companies with a total observation period of 3 years, resulting in a total of 246 observations. The data analysis technique used to test the research model is SEM–PLS. This research is limited to companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and included in the Kompas 100 index during 2021-2023. Tangibility positively affects profitability, capital structure, and stock return. Uniqueness has a positive effect on profitability and capital structure. Uniqueness does not affect stock return. Volatility positively affects profitability, capital structure, and stock return. Capital structure does not affect profitability but does affect stock return. Profitability has a positive effect on stock return. Further research will use other variables influencing capital structure, stock return, profitability, and mediating or moderating variables.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the efficient frontier of the Expected Value (EV) model for the top five stocks on the Malaysian and Indonesian stock markets. The study will explain that the identified home bias-free area can be better understood through the efficient frontier of a combined portfolio of stocks from both markets. The method involves comparing the efficient frontier graphs of the EV model, calculated using linear programming concepts with the SOLVER add-in. It was found that the optimal expected return on the Indonesian market yields better results with lower relative risk for each level of return achieved. The efficient frontier of the combined stocks from both countries also provides a better explanation of how to avoid home bias, as indicated by the identified home bias-free area. The portfolio results from combining stocks yield higher returns compared to the portfolios from each individual market and also exhibit a better coefficient of variation. To make the research findings more comprehensive, future studies could utilize broader return windows, such as weekly or monthly.

Abstract

This study sought to assess the mediation effect caused by information communication technology on supplier relationship management and organizational performance. RAOSOFT sample size calculator was used to calculate the sample size of 160 employees from firms in the packaging printing industry in Harare, Zimbabwe. A cross-sectional survey design was adopted for the study. Supplier relationship management was found to positively influence the adoption of information communication technology. Moreover, the mediating role of information communication technology on the relationship between supplier relationship management and organizational performance was also established. The study adds to existing supply chain body of knowledge as it explores the mediation role of information communication technology to supplier relationship management and organizational performance. The results corroborate earlier studies that focused on the relationships between information communication technology and organizational performance.  The study was focused to the packaging printing industry in Harare Zimbabwe, thus affecting the generalisation of the findings. Therefore, future studies on the mediation effect of ICT on SRM and organizational performance should be conducted in other industries in Zimbabwe and the Southern Africa region.
