<![CDATA[The function of the police as one of the functions of the state government is in the field of maintaining security and securing the community, law enforcement, protector, protection and service to the community. In carrying out its function of eradicating disorders of deviance and crime, the motivations behind these crimes have been explored. Structural social conditions are not always the only trigger of criminal acts, where the circumstances and physical condition of the environment or infrastructure become a strong stimulus for crime and irregularities. Physical damage to an environment gives offenders the perception that the area is prone to crime and that people are so frightened that they will do nothing to stop the crime. This paper aims to explain the process of preventing and maintaining public safety and security in the jurisdiction of the Tangerang City Metro Police carried out by the Perintis Presisi Patrol team. This study uses the theory of broken windows as support analysis. This writing uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources used are primary data, as field observations and interviews and the secondary data as literature studies in the form of books, journals, and the results of previous studies with conclusions drawn. The results of the study show that based on the broken window theory, the decrease in the crime rate contained in the report chart of the Tangerang City Metro Police is the result of good cooperation carried out between the police institution and the community for concern for all forms of community security, regardless of the size of the disturbance or criminal act, even in micro level. The broken windows theory offers a clear, plausible and compelling perspective for police and the public to understand how best to deal with the increasing levels of crime and disorder in their areas.]]>

<![CDATA[Terrorism is a crime that often attracts public attention. There are various reasons that underlie the terrorists carry out their actions. The perpetrators of terrorism are usually dominated by men. In this paper, we will discuss women terrorists in Indonesia, especially regarding the motivations underlying their actions. The Differential Identification Theory put forward by Daniel Glaser will be used in this study to analyze the motivations of female terrorists. A qualitative approach is used in research by collecting data through secondary data studies. Secondary data was obtained from various previous studies and research documents of the involvement of women in acts of terrorism in six Polda areas conducted by CTRS-PTIK. This research shows that acts of terror committed by women and women's involvement in terrorism are based on a sense of devotion to the family, whose domination comes from men or commonly known as patriarchal culture and is motivated by religious fanaticism which leads to self-identification with groups that claim to be the truest Muslims. Female terrorists are constructed by their social environment and what they identify as part of themselves. ]]>

<![CDATA[This study examined the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in policing from the perspective of challenges, threats, and readiness. This study adapted a systematic literature review with data obtained from journals and previous research articles in 2020 – 2023. Previous studies concluded that crime is the shadow of civilization; therefore, the police must be able to keep up with the times. The development of an increasingly modern civilization causes more complex crime, AI and IoT will cause unimaginable crime potential. Countries all over the world have invested in the development of AI and IoT technologies for crime prevention and detection. The idea behind this investment is to make the crime predictable and detectable, allowing the police to enforce the law exactly and properly.  AI systems are expected to overcome several human deficiencies, such as consistency in analyzing situations from multiple data sources, especially millions of data points from IoT devices.]]>

<![CDATA[fungsi Kepolisian dalam perannya sebagai penegak hukum menurut UU No. 2 Tahun 2002 tentang Polri. Serta mengetahui faktor-faktor apakah yang menghambat peran dan fungsi kepolisian dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode normatif. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa dalam kehidupan bernegara terdapat berbagai peraturan yang memaksa masyarakat untuk tunduk dan patuh pada aturan yang berlaku. Sifat ketundukan maupun kepatuhan terhadap peraturan karena adanya kesadaran hukum, yaitu memahami makna dan tujuan hukum bagi kemashlatan. POLRI sebagai agen penegak hukum dan pembina keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat. Konsepsi tugas, fungsi dan peran Polri yang bersumber dari landasan yang masih relevan namun masih perlu diorintasikan dengan perkembangan masyarakat. <![CDATA[The hegemony resulting from the widespread use of technology and social media cannot be stopped. On the other hand, the negative effects of an interconnected world are always present in the minds of all users. As with technology, crime evolves over time, creating new spaces that were previously uninhabited. Phishing, one of its forms, has become a terrifying spectre in the digital world because it exploits the greatest vulnerability in cyberspace: humans. This journal aims to present the results of the author's research into developing a machine learning (ML) model to assist in detecting and recognizing phishing links, while also proposing the use of ML by the National Police to assist citizens in avoiding phishing crimes. The research was conducted using the ML approach with three (three) methods, namely Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree, and Random Forest separately and their combination (hybrid model) in four (four) assessment areas, namely the level of accuracy, precision, recall, and scores f1.]]>

Moral utama dalam UU kepolisian, maka diperlukan pendekatan filosofis untuk memahami nilai-nilai tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1. Mencermati hukum positif di Indonesia minimal ada empat instrumen hukum yang mengatur tentang kedudukan Polri, yakni Ketetapan MPR RI No. VII/MPR/ 2000, Keputusan Presiden No. 89 Tahun 2000, Undang-undang No. 2 Tahun 2002 tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia, dan Keputusan Presiden No. 70 Tahun 2002 tentang Organisasi Tata Kerja Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia. 2. <![CDATA[Kamtibmas according to Article 1 of Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning Polri is "Dynamic condition of society, one of prerequisites for implementation of national development process in order to achieve national goals which are characterized by ensuring security, order and upholding of law so that it is achieved and maintained peace which contains ability to foster and develop potential and strength of society to prevent and overcome all forms of law violations and other forms that disturb society". In Tegal Police jurisdiction, threat of disruption to public security and order that occurs frequently and continues repeatedly, causing casualties is brawls between students. For this reason, Tegal Police need to maintain conducive security and social order by preventing brawls between students by implementing crowd policing.]]>
