This study aims to describe the early detection of depression in the elderly with chronic non-communicable diseases. This research method uses descriptive study analysis techniques. The number of samples in this study were 272 respondents with the sampling technique using cluster sampling and then using random sampling, so that 1 cluster was selected, namely the Kedungmundu Health Center. This research was conducted for 21 days starting from April 09 to April 30. The measuring instrument used is the CESD-R (Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale) questionnaire. Analysis of the data used is univariate analysis with a frequency distribution table. The results of this study found that most of the respondents indicated depression as many as 187 respondents or 68.8%, while those who did not indicated depression were 85 respondents or 31.3%. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to make efforts to develop health services at the Puskesmas in improving mental service units (Poli Jiwa), to make efforts to prevent mental disorders, especially detection of depression in the elderly with chronic non-communicable diseases by screening at least every 6 months

Abstract

Background: Self efficacy is belief in one's ability to achieve goals or perform tasks and can affect personal motivation and ability to succeed in breastfeeding. The self efficacy beliefs of postpartum women facilitate or hinder the condition of facing difficulties that arise with breastfeeding practices on the 120th and 180th postnatal days. The Short Form Breastfeeding Efficacy Scale (BSES-SF) was used to assess the self efficacy of early breastfeeding in postpartum women. Methods: The author uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method from the PubMed database reference with the keywords Breastfeeding Self Eficacy (BSE) from 2014 - 2021. Result: From 14 articles taken as reference sources, there are 10 interventions that can be applied to increase the level of self efficacy in breastfeeding mothers. Conclusion: Based on the results of the literature review, there were 9 interventions that matched the inclusion criteria which were known to be used as an effort to reduce depression symptoms in postpartum mothers, namely skin to skin contact, web based monitoring, counseling, interpersonal counseling about exclusive breastfeeding, breastfeeding motivation programs, telephone, flipchart, computer based breastfeeding education, smartphone based breastfeeding education, Kangoroo mother care. Keywords: Exclusive breastfeeding, Breastfeeding Self Efficacy, Self efficacy, Short Form Breastfeeding Efficacy Scale.

Abstract

Health problems during pregnancy drop the number of normal deliveries in pregnant women. The World Health Organization recommends pregnant women consume folic acid, iron, and multiple micronutrients. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Multiple Micronutrients (MMN) on delivery forms. This research was conducted at Semen Padang Hospital, Padang. This study is a descriptive study with data collection carried out retrospectively. The sample in this study was data from pregnant women who did prenatal care and gave birth at Semen Padang Hospital in January-December 2021. The number of samples in this study was 201 pregnant women, divided into 73 pregnant women with normal deliveries and 128 patients with normal deliveries by cesarean section. In this study, the value of p = 0.767 (p>0.05) with the interpretation of the effectiveness of the use of IFA was not different from the effectiveness of MMN in the number of normal deliveries

Abstract

Problems: Formalin Examination is use to determine of presence or absence of harmful substances or preservatives in samples tested or examined on food, especially tofu. The Aim Of The Research: To determine the difference in the results of formaldehyde levels in tofu samples soaked in warm water and salt water using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry method. Research Method: The type of research used was a pure experiment, which was conducted at the Laboratory of Chemistry and Microbiology of Agricultural Products, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Unsri Palembang. The sample used was tofu and the number of careful samples was 18 tofu samples using the total sampling technique. The Result: Based on the results of examining the formalin content in tofu samples soaked in warm water for 15 minutes using the UV-Vis Spectrophotometry method with the A & E Visible Spectrophotometer yielded an average of 0.56 mg/L while the results of examining formalin levels in tofu samples soaked in salt water produces an average of 0.74 mg/L. Data analysis using the Independent Sample T-Test test obtained a significant value for the warm water treatment p = 0.395 and a significant value for the salt water treatment p = 0.397. Conclutions: There are differences in the results of formalin levels in tofu samples soaked in warm water and salt water using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry method.

Abstract

Background : Basic Health Research Data (Riskesdas) in 2018, anemia that occurs in pregnant women in Indonesia is (48.9%), based on these data the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia is still increasing and is high. Bengkulu City has 20 health centers, based on data from the Bengkulu City Health Office, the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in 2018 was 3 health centers with the highest rates, namely Sawah Lebar Puskesmas (39.6%), Puskesmas Padang Serai (35.8%), Puskesmas Kuala Lempuing (25%). The purpose of this study was to determine the Android-Based Anemia Detection Application (Si-Mia) on anemia detection behavior in pregnant women in Bengkulu City. Method : This study used a quasi-experimental design with a control group. Collecting data used a questionnaire. The sample was 60 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria consisting of 30 people as the intervention group and 30 as the comparison group. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests, and multivariate using Mancova. Result : The results of the study of the knowledge variable there were differences in the mean rank before 0.00 and after 15.00, the value of p = 0.000. Attitude variables mean rank before 0.00 and after 15.50 p value = 0.000. Practice variables mean rank before 0.00 and after 15.00, p value = 0.000. There is a significant effect of the independent variable of the Android-Based Anemia Detection Application (Si-Mia) intervention on knowledge, attitudes and practices with a p value (0.000) while the covariate variable does not affect it with a p value greater than α = 0.05. Conclusion : Continuous assistance is needed to motivate pregnant women in early detection of complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

Abstract

Correct early diagnosis is crucial to control pulmonary tuberculosis infection (TB). This study aims to evaluate hematological parameters in tuberculosis patients to obtain parameters that can support the initial diagnosis of tuberculosis. A total of 36 patients diagnosed with TB based on rapid molecular tests and sputum smears compared the results of their hematological examination with 28 healthy volunteers according to age and sex. The routine blood tests examined were Hb, Ht, erythrocyte index, erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets count. TB patients had significantly lower Hb, Ht, MCV, and MCH mean levels compared to the healthy volunteer group (p<0.05). TB patients also had a significantly higher mean leukocyte and platelets count than the healthy volunteer (p<0.001). Conclusion: Hb, Ht, MCV, MCH, and leukocytosis decrease can be used as supporting diagnostic for the initial diagnosis of TB.
