Abstract

This study aims to describe the image of principal's leadership patterns in the formation of character values in elementary schools. The research design used a case study research at the Elementary School 07 Sintang, the Islamic Elementary School Sintang, and Elementary School Suluh Harapan Sintang. The subjects of the research used the area sampling method because of consideration of the special characteristics of the schools with reference schools, state Islamic schools and private Catholic schools. Data collection is done through observation, in-depth interviews and document studies. The selection of research subjects using the purposive sampling method. The subjects of these researches were 33 people’s consisting of three principals and 30 teachers. Data validity is done through the triangulation process. The results showed that the dominant leadership patterns in the three schools tended to be dominant in the instructional leader pattern. For the process of forming the students’ character to be more optimized, the principal must do a combination of leadership patterns. Transformative leadership patterns and cultural leadership must be cultivated in strengthening character by innovating strategic programs according to the conditions and abilities of the school. The character strengthening programs that are integrated into students' subjects and extracurricular for students must accommodate the six stages of the pyramid of habituation of character values.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an influence on the application of the experimental method to the learning outcomes of water purification material in science learning in class V. The application of this experimental method was carried out through 5 stages which included: 1) Initial Experimentation, (2) Observation, (3 ) Initial Hypothesis, (4) Verification, (5) Evaluation. The procedure of this study was carried out in three stages, namely; (1) Giving Pretest, (2) Giving Treatment, (3) Giving Posttest. It was obtained from this research through the results of pretest and posttest data analysis, that the application of the experimental method had an effect on learning outcomes in water purification materials in science learning in class V. This was because in the experimental method students were actively involved in proving the theory being studied. Knowledge gained by students will be firmly embedded in their memories because they gain their knowledge through experience.

Abstract

This study examines the employees performance at the Faculty of Education, Makassar State University. The research method used was qualitative with an exploratory approach. The data source in this study involved seven participants. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data exposure and conclusion drawing or data verification. The results showed that the Performance of Employees at the Faculty of Education, Makassar State University showed that: (1) The speed of employees in completing work was optimal, employee discipline was quite high, work performed could be completed on time, providing convenience in service, in carrying out services in accordance with a work schedule that has been set. (2) The ability of employees as a whole is quite optimal, work is done manually and uses computer technology, the ability of employees to operate computers in carrying out their tasks is still lacking. (3) Employee initiatives are not optimal, Most employees work if instructed by the leadership, are less creative in carrying out work, there are some employees working time to relax, only a few employees can find their own solutions to work problems.

Abstract;                      Nurul Hikmah, (2019). Teacher performance class in organizing and developing learning devices in the state SDN KIP Maccini Makassar. Guided By Syarifuddin Cn Sida and Idawati.This study aims to study the performance of the teachers in developing and expanding learning devices in the state SDN KIP Maccini Makassar. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research methods. The location in this research is the state elementary school KIP Maccini Makassar. The types of data in this study are primary data obtained directly from the informant and secondary data in the form of documents relating to the issues and the research reports. The instruments in this research are own researchers and supporting data collection tools are interview guidelines. Based on the results of the study that the performance of teachers certified by SDN KIP MACCINI in the planning of learning received an average score of 18.32 in the category quite effective. The assessment showed that teachers certified by SDN KIP MACCINI were well-performing in the planning of learning. Keywords: teacher performance; Learning devices
