Abstract

This study aims : (1) to analyze the status of coastal ecosystems, (2) to analyze factors that affect the quality of coastal ecosystems, and (3) to prepare the direction on spatial planning in coastal areas of Ambon Bay Area. The analytical method used in this study is the analysis of ecosystem status, principal components analysis, analysis of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and analysis of dynamic systems. The results showed that the condition of ecosystem status damaged in 2008, whereby, the status of mangrove ecosystems is moderate with a density of 1100 trees/ha, the status of seagrass ecosystems damaged by percentage cover of 38,76%, and the status of coral reef ecosystems are damaged by the percentage of live coral is 42,27%. Ecosystem conditions in Ambon Bay Area is affected by land use on land, namely forest area and population. Refferral of land use planning in Ambon Bay Areas wich recommended in this study for a period of 20 years of protected areas and cultivated areas. Protected areas is aimed at 9.480,70 ha or 41,21% of land area, while the allocation of space for the cultivation area is 10.416,30 ha (58,79% of land area). To reduce the pollutant into the waters, planned buffer zones (coastal and riverine border for 11,69% of land area), which serves to absorb pollutants and protect the inland waters of the tidal influence, while still controlling the waste coming into water By using dynamic systems analysis, created the scenario of land use planning in Ambon Bay Area that integrates land and wet land. The scenario used in this study is the optimistic, pessimistic and moderate scenarios. The variable that is used to determine of policy scenarios spatial planning based on the rate of population growth is 2,5% per annum, while variable forest area of at least 30% of the area. Of the three scenarios, the scenario chosen for the land use planning policy in Ambon Bay Areas in the future is to use the moderate scenario. The simulation results moderate scenario, the status of coastal ecosystems is improved from the criteria of the coastal ecosystem damaged by coastal ecosystems index 44,44% in 2008 turned into good condition with the index of coastal ecosystems 88,89% in 2029

Abstract

Tourism is one sector development promoted by the government. Various efforts have been made such as Indonesia cooperation in economics, such as IMT-GT, IMS-GT, AFTA / AFAS, but still not very effective and satisfactory growth in the region in promoting such cooperation, because the disparity in growth. Perhaps that was one other limiting factor is the condition of the sub-region are varied so that the effect on accessibility. The uniformity of the tourism potential of Indonesia and other countries Indonesia makes tourism less popular, in addition to a lack of tourism promotion abroad. In addition, price competition and a lack of marketing of tourism in Indonesia has less in demand in the international market. The tourism sector is an important foreign exchange accounted for Indonesia. Until now Indonesia attraction yet fully explored. For example, in Pontianak itself, has a very good nature and attractive to tourists due to the attraction still original, exotic and diverse. However, these objects must be addressed properly to make it more beautiful and attractive place to visit ranging from complete facilities and infrastructure, and accessibility are still lacking support. Therefore, it is necessary to establish priorities and indications of tourism development programs in Pontianak that may be developed in the foreseeable datang.dengan using SWOT analysis. Analysis of the supply comes from ODTW analysis, requirements analysis of tourism facilities, tourism services needs analysis, estimation and analysis infrastructure and the environment. Analysis of supply and demand analysis is a matrix of strategic data to internal factors (IFAS) and external factors (EFAS) program as well as some recommendations for the development of Tourism for the City of Pontianak, the government participate in activities as their main duty to participate in the promotion of destinations, development of basic infrastructure in tourist objects are not managed by the private sector as a simple dock, toilets, mosque and construction of the entertainment / arts performances place. Abstract

Bosscha Observatory is one of a national asset and capital base astronomy research and education development in Indonesia and international cooperation in the field of astronomy. The existence of building construction within a radius of 2.5 km from Bosscha will heighten the intensity of the light that would reduce the quality of the astronomical telescope observations at Bosscha. Besides the threat of dust mixed roar of visitor activity and fine dust particles flying into space by the height of the recreational activity or while driving a car, it will also affect and degrade the quality of the observation telescope Bosscha. As one of the efforts to preserve, protect, and preserve the existence Bosscha, it should serve as Bosscha particular region. It is important to know beforehand whether Bosscha and the surrounding region is included in a particular region or not. Then the determination of certain types of areas are most appropriate for Bosscha, and how proper management efforts to Bosscha and the surrounding area. To determine whether Bosscha included in a particular region, then the testing criteria a particular region of the Bosscha Observatory Complex and the surrounding region with the assessment by experts, the weighting of each criterion and the classification of certain classes using classification Sturgest. In this study, the desired class is divided into two classes: suitable and unsuitable. Having obtained the results, we then re-tested every type of criteria specified by the same method to determine the type of a particular region is the most appropriate for Bosscha. Based on the analysis, it could be concluded that the Bosscha Observatory Complex and the surrounding region is included in a particular region and a particular type of area most appropriate for a specific region critical Bosscha is the result of the impact of human activity.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia has over 17,000 islands and long coastline which reached 81,000 km, is the largest archipelagic country in the world. However, the model-oriented development planning ke-kontinen/daratan territory, is still very limited for developing model-based development of the islands of maritime (maritime). Entanglement one island to another island in one unified remote islands naturally built olehhubungan functional ecosystem. During these activities the layout, planning area boundaries using administrative boundaries and functional social-economic development. So that spatial relationships without regard Kepuluan ecosystem. The result is the development of socio-economic inequality of small islands than large islands are reflected from poverty and backwardness of eastern Indonesia this paper - which was based on the use of Dynamic Simulation Model - trying to prove the importance of the spatial arrangement of the islands based on ecosystem boundaries (known as Ecoregion). At various scenarios simulated spatial models based approach to development since the scenario based on current (status quo approach to administrative boundaries) to the scenario based on the sustainable development approach (approach Ecoregion). The results show that an effort to manage the large island had a significant impact on the growth of social, economic and environment on the other islands in the archipelago cluster units. Furthermore, note also influential factors to be considered in a spatial concept berkawasan coastal islands Ecoregion approach.

Abstract

There is an emerging problem related to the declining quality of the urban environment, particularly in the availability of green open space which is one of the interesting issues, because the green open spaces have a very important role for the ecological sustainability. Green open space is often overlooked by the urban citizen who are less concerned about the role and functions. Public parks as a form of green open space available in Kecamatan Bandung Wetan mostly a park with manicured condition but some of them are not well maintained garden with a condition which poorly maintained, dirty (lots of junk), less green (the number of plants is reduced, because the dead or due to damage), damage and availability of facilities in the park. This research wanted to question as to whether there is a relation between the activity of visitors to the condition of a public park in Kecamatan Bandung Wetan. It aims to identify whether there is any relation between the activities of visitors to the condition of a public park in Kecamatan Bandung Wetan in the present. This research uses crosstabs analysis - Chi Square with a variable number of visitors by gender (male and female visitors) and common garden conditions (completeness of facilities, type of activity, concern for the condition of public parks as well as the visual impression visitors to see a public park).
