Abstract

This article examines homeschooling as an alternative model of moral education for children in the midst of the digital disruption era and moral degradation. The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced children’s behavior, communication, and moral values. Traditional schools often struggle to provide a balanced response to these challenges, while homeschooling offers a more personal and value-based approach. This study employs a qualitative literature review by analyzing relevant journals, books, and reports from both national and international sources. The findings reveal that homeschooling not only strengthens academic knowledge but also fosters moral resilience, character formation, and parental involvement as the primary agents of education. This study contributes to the discourse on appropriate educational alternatives to address moral decline in the digital.

Abstract

The educational activities aimed at tourists and the community in the “Trisik Release Tukik” event broadly aim to introduce a spatial approach to disaster mitigation and environmental conservation education based on local wisdom to tourists visiting Trisik Beach. The activities, which were carried out from July to August, involved the community and stakeholders, including community organizations such as Pokdarwis Banaran. The methods used were qualitative, with traditional lectures supported by visual media and presentations accompanied by narratives of local wisdom. The activities took place in a fun and educational atmosphere, accompanied by question and answer sessions and interactive discussions. The results of the study show that the educational process carried out to build high awareness and understanding in all aspects, especially in applying knowledge in the context of real life to the environment, is a form that must be applied sustainably. The spatial approach makes it easier for visitors to understand locations that are prone to natural disasters and require regular management. Meanwhile, local values strengthen the relationship between visitors and the local social and cultural environment. The non-formal educational approach is a simple, adaptive, and implementable measure in every coastal tourist area by optimizing the use of technology. These findings fully support the effectiveness of the spatial-cultural approach as a relevant, grounded, and widely replicable model for achieving the goals of disaster mitigation education and environmental conservation in other areas with similar tourist attraction characteristics.

Abstract

Malaysia is the main destination country for Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), with around 450,000 PMI recorded in 2024. Many migrant workers bring their children to live in the destination country. Although Law No. 6 of 2012 has regulated the rights of migrant workers' children, in reality many children have difficulty accessing education and health services due to limited information. This study aims to explore the psychological dynamics of children of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia. This study uses a qualitative phenomenology design approach. This study involved three informants of migrant worker children aged 12-18 years who live with their parents in Malaysia. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The results of the study show that migrant workers' children face various challenges in achieving their future, thus forming the development of psychological dynamics. The psychological dynamics of future hopes for migrant workers' children are not formed singly, but through a complex process and mutual influence or reciprocity between personal, environmental and behavior taken. This research is expected to provide deeper insight into the psychological conditions of migrant workers' children, as well as provide policy recommendations to support their welfare, especially in terms of education and access to other basic services.

Abstract

Learning motivation is an important factor in the success of adult education, both in non-formal programs, training, and community development. However, many existing motivation measurement instruments still come from formal education adaptation and have not gone through adequate psychometric tests. This study aims to analyze the validity of the instrument for measuring adult learning motivation. The method used was a quantitative survey involving 72 respondents aged 20-50 years from non-formal education and training programs in Central Lombok and West Lombok Regencies. The instrument consists of 25 statements with a five-point Likert scale. The validity of the content was tested using Aiken's V, while the validity of the construct was analyzed by Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) through the MSA test and Bartlett's Test using the R studio application. The results of the study showed that most of the items had medium to high category content validity. MSA values range from 0.64–0.88 and the Bartlett test yields χ² = 1369.036; df = 300; p < 0.001 which confirms the feasibility of the data. The EFA analysis found five factors with an eigenvalue of > 1, but four main factors were maintained with a total variance of 60.4%. These findings confirm that the instrument has adequate construct validity and can be used in adult education evaluation.
