Abstract

This study aimed to find out the; 1) Conditions of return to scale cabbage vegetable farming, 2) The farmers’ income earning by selling cabbage in Netpala village, Mollo Utara sub- district of Timor Tengah Selatan regency. Netpala village was chosen as the location of the study using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted in August 2019 and data was statisticaly descriptive analysis. The measured variable were the condition of retr’n to scale cabbage vegetable farming, and the amount of cabbage vegetable farming income (Rp). The results showed that 1) Cabbage vegetable farming in Netpala Village when viewed from the scale of results was in a condition of decreasing Return to Scale α + β <1 means that the proportion of the addition of production factors will produce additional production with a smaller proportion. The analysis shows that the parameters b + c + d + e = 0.960 are smaller than 1. This means that the proportion of the addition of production factors (inputs) in this case X1 (land area), X2 (seeds), X3 (fertilizer), X4 (power work) proportionally by 1% will result in an increase in Y (cabbage production) by 0.960%. 2) Cabbage vegetable farmers’ income in study site was Rp. 637,649,582 with the average income earned by the respondent amounting to Rp.12,031,124.

Abstract

This research has been carried out to the simantri program farmers on carrot farming at Wali Village Langke Rembong Subdistrict, Manggarai District, which be held since February to March 2019. The purpose of this study were to determine: (1) the level of farmers' adoption of the simanti program on carrot farming, (2) the significance relationship between socio-economic factors and the level of farmers' adoption of the simantri program on carrot farming. This research uses survey method. The location of the study was determined by Purposive Sampling and Simple Random Sampling, ie 118 farmer group members were joined in 5 farmer groups in Wali Village Langke Rembong Sub-District, Manggarai District. Determination of 54 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula (Sevilla, 1993). The analytical method to determine the level of adoption of farmers in the simantri program in carrot farming is using descriptive qualitative analysis, which is to determine the significance of socio-economic factors with the level of farmers' adoption of the simantri program on carrot farming using the Sperman Rank Correlation Test. The results of the study show that (1) the level of farmers' adoption of the simantri program in the recommended carrot farming in Wali Vilage Langke Rembong Sub-disrtict, Manggarai Regency is in the “medium” category because the percentage of maximum score achievement from the average score (2,11) is 70%. (2) Socio-economic factors that have a significant relationship with the level of farmers' adoption of the simantri program on carrot farming are age, non-formal education, and farm income. While socio-economic factors that have insignificant relationships are formal education, farming experience, and the number of family dependents. Based on the level of adoption of farmers toward the program of simantri on carrot farming is still classified as being medium meaning that there are many components of the technology recommended are not implemented properly, therefore it is still necessary to do technical counseling about carrot cultivation technology as recommended to the farmers.

Abstract

This study was held at the Kasih market Kupang in December 2019 to January 2020. With the aim to know the marketing mix, revenue and marketing strategy of tomato commodity traders the Kasih market City of Kupang. Kasih market Kupang was selected purposively as the location of research with consideration that this market is strategically located in the middle of Kupang City. The population in this study is all tomato traders who have been trading for more than two years. Sampling techniques used snowball sampling techniques, and as many us 30 sample traders have been interviewed to obtime the primary data. Data was analyzed according with the research objectives namely marketing mix analysis, revenue analysis and SWOT analysis. The result showed that; 1). Marketing Mix in Kasih market is: Product strategy, Price, Promotion and Place, show that traders apply quality improvement, characteristic of product, positioning product throungh price to consumer and production farmers, trader use direct promotion to the consumer, because the strategic location for traders and consumers. 2). The average income obtained by the tomato commodity trader for one month Rp. 8.374.833,00. 3). Analisys of the internal and external factors (IFAS/EFAS) that influence on the strategy of tomato traders in Kasih market generate a total score of IFAS of 3.00 which means strong internal positions. While the total EFAS score is 2.53 which means the tomato traders in the Kasih market Kupang are responding to existing opportunities and avoiding threats in the market.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Badan Usaha Milik Desa Moinfeu, Oelbiteno village, middle Fatuleu Sub district, Kupang Regency. The purpose os this study was to know about the application of manajemen principles and how much that gained by Badan Usaha Milik Desa Moinfeu business units, Oelbiteno Village middle Fatuleu Sub district, Kupang Regency. This study used a qualitative descriptive analysis, that interpreting the object as what it is. The results of this study snowed that Badan Usaha Milik Desa Moinfeu business units, Oelbiteno Village middle Fatuleu Sub district, Kupang Regency had not maximally yet on applied the managemant principles, which is the planning principle, and there was no employment contract that hind to members and there was no clear recruitment criterias for the employees. Due to the organitation’s principles, there was overlapping of work and about the leader’s principles, there was no leader,s role on managing Badan Usaha Milik Desa Moinfeu and about the principle of supervisory management, there were no indicators in conducting supervision. The results showed that the amountof acceptance of the agency has clear employee recruitment criteria, about the principleof organizing the Badan Usaha Milik Desa Moinfeu, they received IDR 8,000,000 in 2019. This revenue is divided based on Peraturan Desa Oelbiteno No. 6 of 2017 about the establishment of Badan Usaha Milik Desa on paragraph 29. Based on this division, the amount of income of is Rp.2,000,000 (25%), that is for raising invesment for Badan Usaha Milik Desa Moinfeu.

Abstract

It is known that the interest of farmers in South Amanatun Sub District on the soy bean crop farming had decreased. To return the farmer’s interest on this farming, then on the dates of 15 to 17 of July in 2019 had been runned a training program for farmers related to soy bean seeds processing to become tempe, tofu, and soy bean milk. The aim of this training program was to thange the farmer’s perception on the soy bean crop farming in a positive way. To find out whether or not this aim was achieved, a study had been carried out with the objectives of: (1) to find out farmer’s perception on soy bean crop farming, before and after training; and (2) to analyze the significant change of farmer’s perception after running the training. This study was used a sample with size of 37 farmers, selected randomly from the population of 60 farmers who participated in the training program. Related to objective 1, data were analyzed by the application of such descriptive statistics as: mean score, frequencies, percentage, and distribution table; while for the objective 2, data were analyzed by the use of Wilcoxon Pairs Ranking Test. Results of data analysis indicated that: (1) farmer’s perception on the soybean farming before conducting the training program was in “good enough category” because the percentage value of the farmer’s perception mean score in reaching the maximum score was 54.05% , while after conducting the training program the farmer’s perception was in “ good category” with the percentage value of farmer’s perception mean score in reaching the maximum score was in 72.0%; and (2) after conducting the training of soybean cultivation and seed processing technique had been done, the farmer’s perception on soy bean crop farming was changed significantly, where the probability value (p) of counting Z with the value of 4.8 was 0.0006, far lower than the α value of 0,01.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the extent of the integrated crop management field school program in farmer groups through human development,capital development, institutional development. (2) know the level of success of the field school program integrated rice crop management to increase productivity and income of farmers in the farmer groups in the village linamnutu Amanuban southern sub-district , east middle south. The method used is the survey method. The location was determined deliberately ( purposive sampling ) namely linamnutu village, south amanuban district, south central timor regency. The population of this study is the farmer groups involved in the field school program for integrated crop management namely : Taubtit farmer group, Brother farmer group, one-year peasant group and 63 members. Farmer samples are determined by proportional random sampling with the slovin formula, so that a sample of 39 farmers is obtained. The analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative and the average analysis uses a Likert scale approach. The results of the study note that 72% of respondents belong to productive adulthood and 28% of non-productive age (>55) years. Formal education is classified as low (38%) of the total respondents ie educated to graduate from elementary scholl ), non-formal education (100%), and farm area is at intervals >0,5 Ha, Which is 74%. The field school integrated crop management field program has succeeded in applying the technology component of lowland rice cultivation, and is in the “High” category with an average score of 100%. Farmer business development in Linamnutu village increased by applying the cultivation technology component and was in the “ High” category with an average of 90.29%. Farmer capital development in linamnutu village increases by applying the technology component of rice cultivation and is in the “High” category with an average score 98.86%. Institutions in the village of Linamnutu improved by applying the technology component if rice cultivation to be in the “ Dynamic “ category with an average score of 93.89%.

Abstract

Research on farmers' perceptions of local wisdom on corn farming activities has been carried out at Sonraen Village, South Amarasi District, Kupang Regency on August to September 2019 with the aim of: (1) to find out what Local Wisdom still survives on corn farming activities in the research area; (2) To find out what values ​​are contained in Local Wisdom on corn farming activities. (3) to analyze the extent of the perception of the farming community on local wisdom on corn farming activities. The method used in this research is in-depth interview method. Determining the location of research carried out deliberately. The analysis shows that; (1) Local wisdom that still survives are tradition of. Tof Rene tradition Tsifo Nopo tradition Tsimo Tsuan tradition Toit Uran tradition Eka Hoe tradition Tkau Uran tradition Tatam Pena Tauf and tradition Tanon tradition Seki Pena tradition Tnau Baraif and tradition Save So’e; (2) The Most Prominent Values Found in Each Tradition Include : Spiritual Values, Pandeistic Values, Togetherness Values and Religious Values. (3) the level of perception of the farming community towards local wisdom on corn farming activities at the village of Sonraen. South Amarasi Sub-District. Kupang Regency is on the Good category, with the presentation achieving the score at 77.33%.

Abstract

A survey was carried out in Riung subdistrict Ngada District from 7 February 2018 until 30 May 2018 to analyse revenues and factors affecting cattle business in Riung District Ngada. Sampling is carried out gradually by determining the sample village in Purposif and continued with a randomized propotional determination. The number of respondents was 120 farmers. The accumulated Data is and subsequently carried out analysis of revenues and statistical analyses in the form of correlation and regression analyses. Revenue analysis results show that the average income of farmers in cattle livestock in Riung District Ngada Regency amounting to IDR. 4,609,650./year. Statistical analysis results showed that the cost factor of cage and equipment, labor and going have a real relationship with income and have a relationship pattern: Ŷ Y= 639,87 + 0,08x1 + 0,3x2 +5,56x3 + 11,01x4 and coefesien of determination (R²) = 0,672. But in partial test-T, it turns out that only X4 or health care costs that give a highly significantly (P < 0.01).

Abstract

This research had been conducted at Tunganamo Village, Pantai BaruSub-District, Rote Ndao District started from June until July in 2019, with the aim to understand: (1). Farmer group characteristic at Tunganamo Village, and (2). Farmer’s perception toward the roles of Onion Farmer Group at Tunganamo Village, Pantai Baru Sub-District, Rote Ndao District. Data were collected by using a survey method. Renspondents consisted of 43 farmers, were selected randomly from 76 farmer group members. Data measured by likert scale were analyzed by both quantitative and qualitative descriptive statistics. Results of analysis indicated that: (1). The carateristics of onion farmer group located in Tunganamo Village, Pantai Baru Sub-District, Rote Ndao District as follows: there are three farmer groups existed in the research location namely Oliseu farmer group, which consisted of 24 farmers, Edene Ana farmer group which consisted of 27 farmers and Baru Terbit farmer group which consisted of 24 farmers. Those farmer groups were builded in the year of 2008, with the aim to get subsidy from government in relation to agriculture production facilities; and (2). Farmer’s perception on onion farmer group existed in Tunganamo Village, Pantai Baru Sub-District, the District of Rote Ndao was in “good category”, because the percentase of average score in reaching the maximum score was 68,46 % located in the range of 68-83 %.

Abstract

Beef is a red meat derived from cattle that can be in a few practical foods that are much liked by the community such as, shredded beef and beef jerky. One of the household industry that is engaged in the processing of beef into a practical food is the household industry "Tambers". A feasibility study is required to see an overview of whether or not an attempt is exercised. The research aims to analyse the financial feasibility of Tambers ' agro-industry. The study was conducted from November 2019 to December 2019. The data collection methods used are survey locations and direct interviews with respondents, while also using literature and documentation methods. Data analysis is conducted using financial feasibility analysis; NET Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (Net B/C), Payback Period (PBP), Break Event Point (BEP), and after financing analysis. Results of financial feasibility analysis IRT Tambers year 2015-2019 stated worthy of Net Present Value value of Rp. 361,339,588,-that is positive (NPV > 0), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 56.73% where the IRR is greater than the prevailing interest rate of 12%, and Net B/C is 2.47 where Net B/C > 1. The results of an after financing analysis with a 9% interest rate which is the interest rate given for SMES to declare that assuming the loan capital up to 100%, IRT Tambers are still in the criteria worthy to be executed evidenced by the eligibility criteria that gave positive results.
