Abstract

Adolescents belonging to Generation Z live and are born in the era of social media. The existence of social media makes generation Z teenagers have the characteristics of socializing which is done online. The impact of the intensity that is too high to be socially connected on social media makes teenagers experience Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), namely the fear of teenagers to miss information that is viral and the tendency to compare themselves (Self-comparison) with others on social media. Adolescents who experience FoMO show negative emotions such as stress, anxiety and anxiety. This study is a literature review that discusses the role of mindfulness on the fear of missing out (FoMO) of social media in generation Z adolescents. Based on the literature review conducted, the practice of mindfulness is divided into two, namely formal and informal. The application of mindfulness practices will provide changes to three axioms, namely attention, intention and attitude to individuals, especially in the context of overcoming FoMO.Keywords : Mindfulness; Fear of Missing Out; Adolescence; Z Generation; Social Media

Abstract

This study is motivated by learning difficulties and low learning achievement experienced by students because students do not have the ability to self-regulate in learning. To have self-regulation in learning, students need Self-Regulated Learning. This study aims to test the effectiveness of Behavioral Rational Counseling in improving students' Self-Regulated Learning. This study used a quantitative- qualitative approach (mixed methods) and a quasi-experimental research design using the Nonequivalent (Pre-Test and Post-Test) Control-Group Design. This research was conducted with student research subjects selected purposively. The research instrument used was the Self-Regulated Learning questionnaire instrument. The research was carried out in four steps: 1). preliminary study, 2). preparation of intervention programs, 3). rational validation of intervention programs, and 4). effectiveness test of intervention programs. The results of the preliminary study showed that the average student's Self-Regulated Learning was in the medium category, meaning that students often used Self- Regulated Learning skills. The results of the intervention program effectiveness test showed that the Rational Emotive Behavioral Counseling intervention program was proven to be effective in improving the Self-Regulated Learning of Vocational High School students..Keywords: Effectiveness, Self-Regulated Learning, Rational Emotive Behavioral Counseling

Abstract

The talents of TWE (twice-exceptional) children often mask their weaknesses or vice versa. The aim of this intervention study was to increase teachers’ knowledge and familiarities with twice exceptional children as well as to introduce strategies that would enhance the experiences of these children in the classroom. This program for teaching twice-exceptional children was based on the Response to Intervention (RTI) approach (Fuchs Fuchs, 2005) to delivering different types of interventions to students based on their needs. In this research, the intervention consisted of four weeks training including tutorials, focus group discussions (FGDs), role-plays, and evaluations. The research was conducted with 61 primary school teachers from ten primary schools in different regions/districts in Jakarta, Indonesia. There was a pre-intervention test before the implementation of the intervention and a post-intervention test to evaluate the intervention. A mixed-model analysis of variance (ANOVA) has been used to analyse the data. The between-subject factor was Condition (Intervention vs. Control) while the within-subject factor was Time (pre/baseline vs. post/time 2). The intervention sessions resulted in teachers having now learned and being more aware of the characteristics of TWE children with the hope that they will implement the RTI framework in their schoolsKeywords : TWE (twice-exceptional) children, teachers, intervention, RTI (Response to Intervention) framework, familiarity, experiences.

Abstract

Counseling that is usually done so far is face to face, the pandemi has forced counseling to innovate into cybercounseling. Changes that occur will require adaptation. The purpose of this study is to determine client satisfaction with cybercounseling services. This research method uses a mixed method. The majority of client satisfaction with cybercounseling services are very satisfied. The aspect of satisfaction experienced by clients is related to the relationship between the counselor and the client in the cybercounseling process. A comfortable relationship allows clients to tell stories freely without feeling afraid. This data also shows that even though counseling is not done face to face, clients still feel satisfaction in cybercounseling. The media is not an obstacle in the counseling process and this can be overcome if the counselor has the characteristics of a professional counselor, namely: Unconditional Positive Regard, Empathy and Congruence.Keywords : Satisfaction, Clients, Cybercounseling

Abstract

The background of this research is that a wife has experienced domestic violence and finds it difficult to accept the experience of domestic violence. The purpose of this research is to increase SWB in wives who have experienced domestic violence by giving forgiveness therapy. The type of research is action research single case experimental design with two subjects. Data collection techniques used interview observations and the SWB scale which consisted of life satisfaction and positive negative affect components. The method of data analysis was carried out by means of qualitative quantitative analysis. Quantitative analysis used Kendalls'Wa non-parametric statistical tests, while qualitative analysis was carried out based on written documents summarized during the assessment process to follow-up. The quantitative results showed that the P value of life satisfaction = 0.263 (p 0.05), the positive P affect = 0.105 (p 0.05) and the negative P affect = 0.115 (p 0.05) indicating that the quantitative hypothesis test did not there is a significant increase in SWB. Meanwhile, based on the results of the qualitative analysis, it was concluded that in general, forgiveness therapy can increase SWB in wives who experience domestic violence because they feel the benefits and changes from each stage of the intervention.Keywords : wife has experienced domestic violence (KDRT), SWB, Forgiveness therapy

Abstract

Interpersonal communication is a communication process carried out between two or more people, can be done directly and can be done indirectly or using the media. Group guidance services and guessing games can be used as an alternative in learning so that students' speaking skills can also improve. The purpose of this study was to see whether there was a significant effect and difference before and after being given group guidance services in improving students' interpersonal communication with games (guessing words). This research is a quantitative research with the experimental method with the type of experiment Pre-Experimental Designs (Nondesigns) using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects used purposive sampling technique by considering certain things and did a pretest using a Likert scale instrument and obtained 7 students of class VIII 6 SMP Negeri 016 Pekanbaru who got the results of posttest vulnerable scores 46. Data analysis to test differences using the Wilcoxon test and to test the effect by using the Spearman rank test. The results showed that there was a significant influence and there were differences in students' interpersonal communication before and after being given group guidance services based on guessing games.Keywords : group guidance, interpersonal communication, gemes

Abstract

Guidance and counseling are support services offered to students to help them become independent and develop to their full potential. Students' potential is anticipated to grow in a variety of areas, including social and personal life, learning ability, and mature career preparation. The school counselor's counseling services should be able to be utilized to identify and assist in resolving issues that pupils need to work through with the school counselor. The goal of this study was to evaluate the efforts made by BK teachers to change their students' perceptions of counseling services. This research's methodology is a case study-based descriptive qualitative analysis. Moreover, interviews and documentation were utilized as data gathering methods, and data reduction, presentation of the data, and conclusion drawing were employed as data analysis methods. The results obtained from this study are that so far the services that have been carried out have not been optimal so that the efforts of the school counselor are needed to improve in terms of their services professionally, improve skills in self-approaching students, be proactive in conducting counseling services, establish collaboration with homeroom teachers and teachers subjects in developing students' positive attitudes, distributing questionnaires related to students' positive attitudes towards counseling services to analyze and interpret the data, form peer counseling as an effort to help solve peer problems, and provide facilities and infrastructure as well as adequate facilities and rooms.Keywords : positive attitude, counseling services

Abstract

Making career decisions for students is not an easy matter. Sometimes, students encounter obstacles and doubts before deciding on a career path. To overcome individual uncertainty in making career decisions, it is necessary to have self-efficacy. Student self-efficacy in making student career decisions needs to be grown and developed. The symbolic modeling technique as an alternative in increasing self-efficacy in making career decisions was tested for its effectiveness in this study. The quasi-experimental in this study divided the research subjects into two groups, namely control and experiment where each group consisted of 16 students. The control group was given conventional treatment by the BK teacher, while the experimental group received treatment in the form of symbolic modeling techniques. The self-efficacy scale in making career decisions for students of class X SMA N 1 Tempel, was tested by t-test to determine the effectiveness of symbolic modeling techniques. The result of the hypothesis test is that the t-count value is greater than the t-table which is -2.380 1.703. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that self-efficacy in career decision making can be improved through symbolic modeling techniques.Keywords: symbolic modeling, self-efficacy, career decision making

Abstract

Cultural issues such as stereotypes, discrimination, and microaggressions are prone to occur in intercultural interactions, especially in Tarakan City where people have different cultural backgrounds. If only cultural awareness had been instilled in everyone there would be no more stereotypes, discrimination, and microaggressions that could lead to intercultural conflicts. Education regarding cultural awareness is an important thing that must be given starting from an early age, namely to elementary school students. However, in reality, sources of discussion and learning media regarding cultural awareness are still lacking. For this reason, it is very important to develop learning media that can help foster cultural awareness from an early age in elementary schools. The development of the Kotak Nusantara is a media that can be seen directly by students so that they are more interested, concentrated, and focused on learning objectives. The aim of the research is to develop the Kotak Nusantara in order to increase the cultural awareness of elementary school students in Tarakan City. The research method used is the ADDIE model research and development method which consists of the stages of analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. Based on the research results, from the design validation test and media material, Kotak Nusantara is very suitable for use as a learning medium and can increase the cultural awareness of elementary school students in Tarakan City.Keywords : media, Kotak Nusantara,cultural awareness

Abstract

Abstract Student specialization is a process of making choices and decisions by students in areas of expertise based on understanding their own potential and existing opportunities. Service specialization of students is the responsibility of the principal by involving all components in the school. Specialization in cross-subject options and the choice of deepening subject matter is an effort to assist students in choosing and determining the subjects to be followed in high school education units in order to understand and choose the direction of career development, and prepare themselves and choose further education up to university. according to general basic abilities, talents, interests and preferences of each student. This research is library research that examines the process of specialization services at the senior high school (SMA) level in the independent curriculum. The results of this study concluded that specialization services at the SM School level were carried out through 4 stages, including: 1) providing information on specializations; 2) data collection; 3) identification and determination of specialization; 3) adjustment and assistance; 4) monitoring and follow-up. Keywords: merdeka’s curriculum, specialization services AbstrakPeminatan peserta didik merupakan suatu proses pengambilan pilihan dan keputusan oleh peserta didik dalam bidang keahlian yang didasarkan atas pemahaman potensi diri dan peluang yang ada. Pelayanan peminatan peserta didik menjadi tanggung jawab kepala sekolah dengan melibatkan semua komponen yang ada di sekolah. Peminatan pilihan lintas mata pelajaran dan pilihan pendalaman materi mata pelajaran merupakan upaya untuk membantu peserta didik dalam memilih dan menetapkan mata pelajaran yang diikuti pada satuan pendidikan di SMA dalam rangka memahami dan memilih arah pengembangan karir, dan menyiapkan diri serta memilih pendidikan lanjutan sampai ke perguruan tinggi sesuai dengan kemampuan dasar umum, bakat, minat dan kecenderungan pilihan masing-masing peserta didik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Pustaka yang mengkaji proses layanan peminatan pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di kurikulum merdeka. Hasil kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa layanan peminatan pada jenjang Sekolah SM)dilakukan melalui 4 tahapan, diantaranya: 1) pemberian informasi peminatan; 2) pengumpulan data; 3) identifikasi dan penetapan peminatan; 3) penyesuaian dan pendampingan; 4) monitoring dan tindak lanjut.  Kata Kunci : Kurikulum merdeka, layanan peminatan
