Abstract

In this paper we will discuss some of the approaches of fuzzy normed spaces and development on fuzzy n-normed space. The approach discussed is based on the concept of t-norm and-t conorm and directly as well as defining the usual definition normed space. But it is discussed in more detail in this paper is the definition that refers to a generalized regular normed spaces on fuzzy 2-normed space and space and fuzzy n-normed space.

Abstract

This research aims to improve mathematics learning achievement of first semester student majoring biology at IKIP PGRI Semarang using mathematics learning based on constructivism in basic mathematics courses. This type of study is a research of Quasy Experimental. The population is the first semester of students majoring in biology education IKIP PGRI Semarang which consists of five classes. By random sampling technique we choose two classes, class 1A as a class experiment and class 1E as a control class. Variables in this research are the process skills (X) as the independent variable and learning achievement (Y) as the dependent variable. Data collection had been done by observation and learning achievement tests and for analyzing by comparison and influence tests. The results showed that completeness test has average 70.20 . It means that completeness had been and there is a achievement difference between the experimental class and control class. Beside that, we find that variable of process skill has a positive effect to the learning achievement by regression equation and the effect is 20.3%. It is shown that learning at experiment class is effective.

Abstract

Abstract

In this paper we study class of all functions which are differences of bounded semicontinuous functions on a separable metric space K denoted by . Haydon, Odell and Rosenthal (1991) proved that is a Banach space by using the series criterion for completeness. In this paper we prove the statement in a different way.

Abstract

In the Kuratowski-Ryll Nardzewski theorem, measurable selector of the set-valued functions exist if the value of set-valued function is a subset of a separable Banach spaces. In this article show that the set-valued function has a measurable selector in non separable Banach spaces.

Abstract

The Hermite-Hadamard inequality is an inequality for convex functions that gives an estimate for the integral mean value of a convex function on a closed interval by its value at the middle of interval and the average of its values at the endpoints. The Hermite-Hadamard inequality can be generalized by using the Riemann-Stieltjes integral mean value. An application of the Hermite-Hadamard inequality with respect to Riemann-Stieltjes integral for estimating the power mean of positive real numbers by the aritmethic mean is given at the end of discussion.

Abstract

On the standard n-normed space,i.e an inner product space equipped with the standard n-norm, one can derive a norm from the n-norm in a certain way. The purpose of this note is to establish the equivalence between such a norm and the usual norm on standard n-normed space. Further, this fact together with others use to prove a fixed point theorem on the standard n-normed space.

Abstract

The lecturer is a component in university that has a great role to determine the quality of university. The lecturer quality evaluation is important because of that role. The students who are involved in a learning process should give an evaluation of the lecturer quality by preference. The method that concerns in preference study is conjoint analysis. The conjoint analysis consists of some steps: problem identification, stimuli designs, data collecting, choosing the procedure, and interpretation. The stimuli designs in this research is full profile and the data are collected as ranking respons by interview. The sampling method is purpossive. The samples are selected according to segmentation that are regarded varies among students preference to the quality of lecturer: GPA, level/class, origin of senior high school, gender, and the economic condition(income) of the parents. Based on the relative attribute importance, the students preference of the lecturer quality are: mastery of lecture material, ability to motivate students, character, communication, and learning method. The students preference of lecturer quality differs in segments: GPA, level/class, origin of senior high school, gender, and the economic condition(income) of the parents.
