Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of health education through the Wheel of Self-Efficacy (ROPEDI) and videos on increasing the self-efficacy of breast cancer patients. The method employed is Quasi-Experimental with a pre and post-test design involving a control group. The research results indicate a p-value of 0.02, demonstrating a significant change in self-efficacy values across all three groups. Further analysis tests (post hoc) showed that there was a change in the average value in the Rotating Wheel of Self-Efficacy (ROPEDI) group (26.08), the educational video group (25.67) and the control group (20.17). In conclusion, there is an influence of the Wheel of Self-Efficacy (ROPEDI) media and videos on increasing the self-efficacy of breast cancer patients. Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of life of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients in the outpatient department of the General Hospital in Aceh Province. The research method used a cross sectional study approach with data collection using questionnaires, namely sociodemographic questionnaires and World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL)-BREF questionnaires. The results showed that the quality of life of outpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the physical health domain was in the less category (54.2%) and was in the good category for three other domains, namely the psychological domain (63.3%), the social relationship domain (52.8%) and the environmental domain (33.6%). Type 2 diabetes mellitus affects the quality of life of the sufferer. Measuring the quality of life of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients is important because it can identify individuals with poor quality of life and various predictors of quality of life. Abstract

The research aims to determine the effectiveness of wound care interventions using the irrigation method in type 2 DM patients at Al-Ihsan Hospital Bandung. This research method uses a Quasy Experiment one group pretest and posttest design approach using a random sample of 7 respondents and following operational standards. The results of the study, before and after the intervention, were assessed using the BJWAT Bates-Jensen wound assessment tool to assess whether there was a decrease in the degree of injury or not, from the first session and the second assessment session. The intervention was carried out during 2 wound treatments. From the results of statistical tests, it was found that there was a significant difference in the results of the first assessment and the second assessment before and after wound treatment with irrigation with a p-value of 0.001 (P<0.05). In conclusion, the implementation of wound care interventions in type 2 diabetes patients with irrigation has proven to be effective in helping speed up wound healing, this is proven by reducing the degree or scale of wounds after the intervention. Abstract

This research aims to design a family empowerment module in caring for pulmonary TB patients and experience and family support in caring for pulmonary TB patients. The research method used is qualitative research. The interview results show that the role of family empowerment in the re-treatment of pulmonary TB patients can be seen from seven themes, namely understanding the definition of pulmonary TB, family experience in caring for pulmonary TB patients, actions taken when the family is diagnosed with pulmonary TB, difficulties experienced when caring for patients. Pulmonary TB, the impact felt when treating patients, what will happen if pulmonary TB is not treated immediately, and the family's efforts to ensure that the patient does not relapse or readmission. In conclusion, this research produces a module design for hospitals, patients, and families. Keywords: Family Empowerment, Readmission, Pulmonary TB

Abstract

Research on complementary Reiki therapy in patients with chronic diseases needs to be critically reviewed to test the validity, results and relevance of scientific evidence (research results) so that new knowledge can be applied in professional practice. The method used was a systematic mapping study (scoping study) which was carried out in September-November 2021 in four databases, namely Elsevier, Pubmed, Science Direct, and ProQuest using keywords according to the MesH Term. The results of this research showed that there were 4 articles that had been evaluated using the PRISMA checklist and these 4 articles stated that Reiki therapy could control, reduce pain, anxiety and stress in patients with palliative care. In conclusion, Reiki therapy is an effective therapy in reducing the symptoms and pain faced by patients with palliative care, such as pain, anxiety, stress and quality of life. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of active Range of Motion (ROM) training on increasing lower extremity muscle strength and joint range of motion in the elderly. A total of 55 elderly people who live in the work area of a community health center with complaints of activity disruption were respondents to this study. The research design used was pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. In the first stage, a pre-test is carried out to assess lower extremity muscle strength and joint range of motion before administering the procedure. Next, the Range of Motion (ROM) exercise is given once, followed by a return measurement after the action. The results of measurements before and after administering the action were analyzed using the Paired T test. It was found that there was a significant increase in lower extremity muscle strength and joint range of motion in the elderly after active ROM training. This shows that active ROM training is effective in increasing muscle strength and joint range of motion in the elderly. It can be concluded that active Range of Motion (ROM) training is an effective method and can be integrated into fitness programs for the elderly to improve muscle health and joint function. Regular implementation of this exercise can be a strategy in promoting the health of the elderly and minimizing the risk of decreased physical function due to aging. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of health education on breastfeeding techniques using video media with leaflets on the prevention of sore nipples in postpartum mothers. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a two-group pre-test-posttest design. The research results show a comparison of knowledge and skills in leaflet media and video media after education, namely that there is no significant difference in understanding with a p-value of 0.301. Still, there is a substantial difference in skills with a p-value of 0.008; video media health education influences skills. Postpartum mothers should use breastfeeding techniques because they attract more attention and provide auditory and visual stimuli simultaneously to maximize results. In conclusion, video media health education can be used to improve the skills of postpartum mothers so that video media can be an alternative for delivering information to postpartum mothers. Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between type of mask, duration of mask use, and Body Mass Index (BMI) on the incidence of Acne Vulgaris (AV). The method used is an observational analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. The research results showed that the majority were female, 71.1%. Most sample data that experienced AV was also obtained at 92.2%. Most presentations occurred in women who experienced AV in this study, amounting to 64.8%. The statistical test results showed that the three variables had a p-value > 0.05. In conclusion, no significant relationship exists between the type of mask, duration of mask use, and Body Mass Index (BMI) with the incidence of Acne Vulgaris in FK UMS students. Abstract

This study aims to describe the monofilament test and Ipswich touch test methods for screening diabetic sensory neuropathy. The research method used is a literature study of research articles published in national and international journals in 2020-2023 using the Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases. The results of this study identified ten research articles that explained that 10g monofilament is the most widely used diabetic sensory neuropathy screening tool because it is simpler, more objective, and easier to use. The Ipswich Touch Test is the most straightforward inspection technique that can be carried out without using tools. In conclusion, both methods proved effective in detecting diabetic sensory neuropathy, although differences in sensitivity and specificity of the two methods require further research.
