Abstract

IMPROVING LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS WITH STRENGTHENING SCHOOL ACADEMIC ATMOSPHERE, AND TEACHER KNOWLEDGE ABOUT 2013 CURRICULUMThis study aimed to determine how the learning effectiveness can be improved by examining the relationship between, 1) a school climate by learning effectiveness, 2) knowledge of the teachers about the curriculum 2013 with the effectiveness of learning, 3) the climate of the school and the teacher's knowledge of curriculum 2013 together with the effectiveness of learning. This study used a survey method with the correlational approach undertaken in servant teachers at SMAN Sukabumi. The population in this study amounted to 254 with a sample of 155 people. The collection of data for each variable studied was using questionnaires and tests. The statistical analysis was using regression correlation and partial correlation. The result produced three conclusions: firstly, there was a positive relationship between school climate by learning effectiveness. Secondly, there was a positive relationship between teachers' knowledge of curriculum 2013 with the effectiveness of learning. Thirdly, there was a positive relationship between school climate and teacher's knowledge of the curriculum 2013 together with the effectiveness of learning.

Abstract

IMPROVEMENT OF LEARNING ORGANIZATION THROUGH TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND EFICATION OF TEACHER OF BUDDHIS PRIVATE SCHOOL BANTEN PROVINCEThe purpose of this study was to find that learning organization can be improved by examining the relationship of learning organization, transformational leadership and self-efficacy. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach by using correlational statistical methods to determine whether transformational leadership and self-efficacy have a positive relationship with learning organization. Sampling in this study was using proportional random sampling technique with the taro yamane formula. The data collection to measuring instruments was a questionnaire. The results were continually analyzed by using the SITOREM methods in order to derive recommendations and determine the order of priority improvements that need to be made. This research was conducted on Buddhist Private Middle School teachers in Banten Province with a study population of 145 and a sample of 107 teachers. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between transformational leadership and learning organization with a relationship strength of ry1 = 0,530 and there was a positive relationship between self-efficacy and learning organization with a strength of ry2 = 0,477. This shows that learning organizations can be improved through the development of transformational leadership and self-efficacy. Sitorem’s analysis results showed that in the components of transformational leadership, self-efficacy and learning organization were found 10 indicators that need to be improved, namely: 1) Individualized consideration, 2) Confidence in understanding his / her abilities, 3) commitment and determination of everyone in the organization, 4) Systematic thinking patterns, 5) Individual Skills, 6) Organizational team attitude, 7) Make generalizations, 8) A conception of an ideal future, 9) A vision which agreed upon by all members of the organization and 10) Maturity.

Abstract

LEARNING MANAGEMENT READ AL QURAN IN ALQURAN AL-ITQON BOARDING SCHOOL, BOGORThe art of reading Alquran at boarding school is the major program that could be a uniqueness for the institution and the strengths as well. The excellent output of reading Alquran will support the achievement of the school target, therefore the school needs to develop effective learning management, especially in reading Alquran.  This research is focused on learning management in the art of reading Alquran at Al-Itqon Islamic Boarding School Bogor. The study was using a descriptive qualitative analytical approach to describe, explain and analyze objectively about the learning management of reading Alquran at Al-Itqon Boarding School Bogor. The data was taken by interviews about the sub-focus of the research, which were: planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating. The results showed that the learning management of the art of reading Alquran at the Al-Itqon Islamic Boarding School in Bogor, begin with planning as the first step, that consist of:1) setting the goal of the program which is preparing student to be a Qori or Qoriah, 2) setting the main program, which are tahsin and recital. The second step is organizing which consists of 1) setting the organizational structure for both male and female students, 2) organizing the program schedule, 3) organizing the facilitation such, learning method and media. The third step is an implementation: 1) learning steps implementation, 2) allocation of learning schedule and duration, 3) media and learning method. The final step is evaluation, which is setting the evaluation objectives including improving reading quality, remedial, repetition by drilling and awarding graduate certificates

Abstract

EFFECT OF SELF-ESTEEM AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION TOWARD TEACHER EFFECTIVENESSTeacher’s work effectiveness is the one of the elements to be performed in order to reach the school goal. According to the initial study, it is showed that the effectiveness of some private junior high school teachers were not as expected, while actually high work effectiveness among teachers might support excellent output quality implementation. This study aimed to describe, analyze and find out that self-esteem and interpersonal communication bring a positive influence on teacher work effectiveness. The research method was quantitative research and survey research method was path analysis approach. This research was conducted on 5 private junior high schools in the District of Gunung Putri, Bogor Regency. Samples were taken randomly proportionally, totaling 109 of the 150 population. Data collection in this study was using questionnaires as instruments. The results showed that: 1) There was a positive and very significant effect of self-esteem on teacher work effectiveness with a correlation coefficient (β y1) of 0.4769; 2) There was a positive and very significant effect of personal communication on teacher work effectiveness with a correlation coefficient (β y2) of 0.5051; 3) There was a positive and very significant influence on self-esteem and personal communication on work effectiveness teacher with a correlation coefficient (β y12) of 0.5704. Based on the results of the study, the teacher's work effectiveness increased as the influence of self-esteem and interpersonal communication.

Abstract

SCHOOL MANAGEMENT IN REALIZING HEALTHY SCHOOLS IN SMP ISLAM CENDEKIA CIANJUR (SICC) BOARDING SCHOOLThis researched aimed to have comprehensive findings based on factual datas and information about school management at SMP Islam Cendekia Cianjur (SICC) Boarding School interms in actualizing healthy school. The qualitative method was used in order to have a comprehensive description as an output about all managerial steps; planning, organizing, actuating, and evaluating the school management at SMP Islam Cendekia Cianjur (SICC) Boarding School. All data was collected by indept interview, observation and documentation, showed that: 1) Planning for healthy school at the SICC Boarding School was issued at the beginning of its establishment with the initial stage, focusing more on procurement and completeness of school medical room (UKS), 2) Organizing health schools is the authority of the principal where the implementation of this healthy school program is assisted by several personnel, the coordinator of  healthy school , UKS builder, financial staff and the members, 3) Implementing of healthy school management is carried out by healthy school coordinators and other teams in the organizational list. The concept of  healthy school at the SICC Boarding School is to develop superior programs from UKS, it is called UKS TRIAS, PHBS habituation, and the procurement of facilities and infrastructure for UKS, 4) Controlling is carried out by monitoring and evaluating directly by school principal as the chairman of the UKS organizational list. The Controlling is focused on three aspects; human resources focused on healthy school teams, the  healthy school programme, and the procurement tools of UKS. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that school management runs well with referring to the conditions and needs of school andcan be used as a reference model for other boarding school as well.

Abstract

IMPROVING THE TEACHER CREATIVITY BY IMPROVING THE ORGANIZATION AND SELF-EFICATION CULTUREThe purpose of this reseach is to determine the correlation between organization culture and self efficacy toward teacher’s creativity. This study is conducted in Vocational High School at Region of Cibinong. The study population is 283 teachers and the number of sample is 166 teachers decided by proportional random sampling. Data was collected by questionnaire. The data analysis technique used correlation regression partial and multiple. The result shows that there is positive correlation between organization culture and teacher’s creativity (the correlation coefficient ry1 = 0,661 and the detemination coefficient r2y1=0,437), there is positive correlation between self efficacy and teacher’s creativity (the correlation coefficient ry2 =0,609 and the determination coefficient r2y2=0,370), and there is positive correlation  of organization culture and self efficacy to teacher’s creativity (the correlation coefficient ry12 = 0,716 and the determination coefficient r2y12= 0,513). Based on the result, it can be concluded that the teacher’s creativity could be enhanced through organization culture and self-efficacy either partially or concurrently

Abstract

ORGANIZATION CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR TEACHERS CAN BE ENHANCED WITH SPIRITUAL ORGANIZATION AND INTELLIGENCE COMMITMENTSThe research aimed to find the relationship between organizational commitment and spiritual intelligence with Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB). The method used in this research was a correlational descriptive method using a quantitative approach. The population in this research took 136 the non-permanent teachers who work seperatelly at 14 private junior high schools located in the district of Jonggol Bogor Regency. The sampling technique was using proportional random sampling in Slovin formula with 5% margin error with a sample amount of 102 teachers. This study resulted in a conclusion; 1) there was a positive relationship between the organizational commitment with OCB. The strength of the relationship between organizational commitment (X1) and OCB (Y) was demonstrated by the correlation coefficient ry1 = 0848 and the organizational commitment contributed 71.9% to the OCB, 2) There was a positive relationship between spiritual intelligence with OCB. The strength of the relationship between Spiritual Intelligence (X2) and OCB (Y) was demonstrated by the correlation coefficient ry2 = 0,786 and Spiritual Intelligence contributed 61.8% to the OCB, 3) There was a positive relationship between the organizational commitment (X1) and spiritual intelligence (X2) jointly with the OCB (Y) shown with the correlation coefficient ry12 = 0.848 and the organizational and intelligence commitments Spiritual collectively contributed 71.9% to the OCB. Based on the findings, the OCB of teachers can be improved through organizational commitment and spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

SCHOOL COMPETITIVENESS SWOT ANALYSIS: A CASE STUDY IN SMKN 1 PASIR PENYU INDRAGIRI HULU,  RIAUOne of the characteristics to see the competitiveness of a school is its accreditation ranking. Schools that have been accredited A can be said to have a great opportunity in developing effective strategies to improve competitiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategic position of SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu with SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). All data were found by researchers through interviews, literature studies, observations, and documents, and questionnaires. Analysis of the data the researcher did was IFAS and EFAS, then SWOT analysis to find out some internal and external factors and to identify a strategic position of SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu. The results of this study indicate that SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu is located in quadrant I position (Aggressive), which means that SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu is in the survival stage. Researcher's suggestion for SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu is to be able to fix several internal weaknesses. To be able to avoid and reduce the threat of competition between schools, SMK 1 Pasir Penyu can create a unique competition as a differentiator between similar schools.

Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLASSROOM CLIMATE AND LEARNING MOTIVATION WITH STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMESThis study aims to look at the relationship between classroom climate and learning motivation with student learning outcomes in Class XI Office Administration at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. This study uses quantitative methods with ex post facto design. The population used in this study were students of Class XI Office Administration at SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi. The study population was 122 students and the sample chosen was 67 students based on intrapolation calculations and then the distribution of samples using Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used primary data in the form of a questionnaire and secondary data in the form of data on the average value of student tests. Data analysis techniques used in this study are simple correlation analysis and multiple correlation analysis. The results showed that: (1) There was a relationship between classroom climate and student learning outcomes of 0.595 with a percentage of 59.5% and a significance value of 0.000 so that rcount rtable or 0.595 0.201 could be said to be significant. Because r count r table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. (2) There is a relationship of learning motivation with student learning outcomes of 0.744 with a percentage of 74.4% and a significance value of 0.000 so that rcount rtable or 0.744 0.201 can be said to be significant. Because r count r table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted; and (3) There is a relationship between classroom climate and learning motivation with student learning outcomes of 0.783 with a percentage of 78.3%. It can be concluded that classroom climate and learning motivation together have a correlation with student learning outcomes. This conclusion suggests that educators can optimize classrooms and provide awareness of the importance of learning and motivate students during the learning process, by creating a conducive classroom atmosphere and providing interesting learning methods so that students do not feel bored and bored, and feel safe and comfortable and excited in learning in class so that it will have implications for maximum learning outcomes.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF THE ROLE OF THE SCHOOL HEAD AND WORK CULTURE ON THE ACHIEVEMENT OF BASIC SCHOOL TEACHERS MOTIVATION IN SEMARANG DISTRICTThis study to determine (1) the effect of the principal's role on teacher achievement motivation. (2) the influence of work culture on teacher achievement motivation (3) the effect of the principal's role and work culture together on teacher achievement motivation. The population in this study was 269 elementary school teachers in Susukan subdistrict, Semarang regency, a sample of 161 teachers using proportional sampling sampling. The collection method uses a questionnaire. Data analysis using descriptive analysis, hypothesis testing consisting of simple and multiple regression using the SPSS for Window Release 21 program The research findings show that the role of the principal has a significant effect on teacher achievement motivation by 34.8%. Work culture has a significant effect on teacher achievement motivation by 34.1%, the role of school principals and work culture has a significant effect on teacher achievement motivation in SDN Susukan Semarang regency by 44.8%, with a regression equation Ŷ = 12.075 + 0.399X1 + 0.484X2. so the better the role of the principal and work culture, the teacher achievement motivation will also increase
