Abstract

The use of contraceptives in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic has decreased by 35% to 47%. This resulted in the pregnancy rate increasing by 67 pregnancies from the previous year. In West Java, the pregnancy rate jumps by 10%. One of the efforts to suppress the spike in baby births is through the Keluarga Berencana (KB) program for couples with childbearing age. The aim of this community service is to provide knowledge about contraceptive tools and methods in suppressing baby booms. This community service method is in the form of interactive education based on information technology and offline interactive education. The target is 30 women of childbearing age couples aged between 15-45 who used contraception and did not make repeat visits during the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation technique is divided into three stages, namely the first stage is to assess the level of understanding respondent with a pre-test use to google form, the second stage is to carry out counseling, family planning counseling program and introduction to the KB Klik application with offline and the third stage is to evaluate the material with a post test use to google form. The results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge of both contraceptive tools and methods by 53.4%. With the increasing knowledge of mothers about family planning tools and methods, it is hoped that it can influence the attitudes of mothers in choosing and using the right contraceptives so that it is expected to limit the number of child births and reduce the impact of baby booms.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) is a disease caused by the corona virus which can cause respiratory tract infections with up to severe symptoms. SARS-CoV-2 virus infection can cause symptoms ranging from symptoms (asymptomatic), mild, moderate and severe symptoms. Until now, no antiviral or vaccine has been found that can infect Covid-19. Therefore, efforts to break the chain of transmission are the application of health protocols that include 3M recording, wearing masks and maintaining distance. However, there are still many community members, especially employees who are not yet obedient to implementing this protocol. Community service is carried out as an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 to office employees in Bandar Lampung, considering that the work area is one of the areas that contributes to the high incidence of Covid-19 in Bandar Lampung. The community service activity was attended by 97 well-known employees in 13 offices in the Bandar Lampung area. The method used is health education through the zoom application. The questionnaire was given to measure participants before and after participating in activities. The material is presented using powerpoint audiovisual media and leaflets which are presented using the zoom application. This activity results showed an increase in participants' knowledge about covid-19 and covid-19 health protocols in the work area. Presenting information about covid-19 and covid-19 health protocols has a positive impact on increasing public knowledge, especially employees in office areas.

Abstract

Preventing COVID19 transmission in community is currently important. As one of villages located close to Bali’s tourism centre, Bukian village is expected to be more vigilant in preventing the spread of COVID19. However, the public knowledge about COVID19 was low, the people was careless with pandemic situation, and public socialization was limited, making the effort in preventing the transmission of the disease at that time had not run optimally. This community empowerment activities lasted for 1 month in the form of providing education with online methods and intensive mentoring of one student, one participant, targeting families and members of the COVID19 task force, with a sum of 10 students and 10 participants. All activities went well and enthusiasm of participants was quite good. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires were given to evaluate the increase in the knowledge and attitudes of the participants, then analyzed by wilcoxon test and there was a significant increase in knowledge and attitude of participants (p value <0,05).

Abstract

The current health program in Indonesia is focused on improving the health status of vulnerable groups, one of which is pregnant women. This is indicated by the high rate of maternal and infant mortality. One of the government's efforts to overcome this problem is the concept of safe motherhood and antenatal care. During the Covid-19 pandemic, most pregnant women did not get medical check-up because they were worried about the corona virus. Therefore, online classes for pregnant women were conducted. This community service method is in the form of interactive education based on information technology online and offline. The targets are all pregnant women who carry out examinations at the Midwife Independent Practice of Yanyan Mulyani, while the targets for pregnancy exercise and prenatal yoga are 35 pregnant women with a gestational age of 28-39 weeks. The implementation technique is divided into three stages, namely the first stage is to assess the level of understanding of the respondent with a pre test, the second stage, namely the implementation of classes for pregnant women by providing online material and the implementation of offline pregnancy and prenatal yoga exercises, and the third stage, namely evaluating the material with post tests . The results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge to be good by 68.6%. Providing information to the class of pregnant women by the facilitator on a regular basis and carried out every week with different materials makes pregnant women make pregnancy visits and regularly attend classes for pregnant women to stay healthy.

Abstract

The huge benefits of exclusive breastfeeding have not been able to increase the number of exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia. This is due to the low knowledge of pregnant women on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding. Low support from families, communities and health workers, especially breastfeeding counselors, is one of the factors causing the low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. Mothers need support from those around them for success of exclusive breastfeeding behavior. The role of health workers in health promotion is also needed so that the exclusive breastfeeding program runs optimally. This activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding. The community service method used is assistance to mothers in exclusive breastfeeding with the concept of one student one client. It was carried out in the working area of the Surakarta City Health Office with 30 participants. It begins with counseling mothers about exclusive breastfeeding, observations about maternal assistance in exclusive breastfeeding, and an evaluation of the course of mentoring through filling out a questionnaire about exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding practices. The role of health workers in supported exclusive breastfeeding includes providing counseling on IMD and breastfeeding since pregnancy with husband, involving husbands in IMD implementation, posyandu with home visits involving cadres and providing counseling for pregnant women, providing lactation corners, counseling involving all puskesmas officers, distributing leaflets and posters, holding pregnancy classes, and involving cadresto hold Kelompok Pendukung Ibu (KP-Ibu). The failure of exclusive breastfeeding was generally because the mother works so that breastfeeding motivation decreased, family support was low, worried about insufficient breastfeeding, and low knowledge of breastfeeding. There was a relationship between knowledge and breastfeeding practice and it was statistically significant (p=0.004, OR: 25.14, CI95%:0.89-5.56). The role of health workers and cadres in supported exclusive breastfeeding through maternal assistance was quite good, however the failure of exclusive breastfeeding generally came from maternal factors. There was a relationship between knowledge and breastfeeding practice and statistically significant.

Abstract

Madiun Merdeka University with Higher Education Leading Community Empowerment Program did technology transfer with theme processing oyster mushroom products. The aim of this activities is to solve the weakness of oyster mushroom which is wither quickly, easily rotten, and cheap selling price, so it can improve welfare of the people at Bodag Village, Kare District, Madiun Regency. The method is: the amount of participants are 26 people that member of Tani Rejo farmers amn Mulyo farmers. The activities by following 3M healthy protocol. The activity consist of processed oyster mushroom practices, problem discussion and processing solution, business management, marketing, packaging, and product serving. The results of this activities is oyster mushroom processing training gives positive value to the people. The people give best response into this activities. The output of this activities is the people can make crispy mushroom, shredded mushroom, rendang mushroom, ca mushroom, satay mushroom, ice cream mushroom, risol mushroom, nuggets mushroom, mushroom fried rice, mushroom fried rice, mushrood tomyam, and mushroom garang asem.

Abstract

Inappropriate feeding to infants and children can lead to malnutrition, stunting and even death. The aim of this PKMD is to increase the knowledge of mothers in practicing breastfeeding and complementary foods to posyandu cadres in Cangkol village. The problem of stunting can be balanced by offering solid. MPASI must pay attention to the recommended Nutritional Adequacy Rate (RDA) based on the age group and the texture of the food according to the age development of children under five. MPASI is said to meet the requirements if it contains carbohydrates, proteins, fats and vitamin. The purpose of this article is to provide education to the community in Cangkol village, about breastfeeding and breastfeeding. MPASI according to the age of the toddler. The extension method is carried out by lectures, questions and answers and demonstrations. The Village Community Health Counseling program activity with the title of training to prepare mother's breast milk (realize, understand and upgrade your toddler's needs) to posyandu cadres in Cangkol Village, Mojolaban, Sukoharjo smoothly, as evidenced by the mothers understanding the material presented during education.

Abstract

Puskesmas as the spearhead of public health services are required to always improve the quality of service delivery, both in the administration of primary health care management, clinical services, and primary health care program services. Accreditation is one of the efforts to ensure the quality improvement of primary health care services. Primary health care must compile medical records in accordance with the standards and criteria set by the first level health facility accreditation commission. It becomes a problem if the Puskesmas does not yet have human resources in the field of medical records, included the Karang Intan 2 primary health care. For this reason, primary health care need to increase the knowledge of its officers about managing medical record units and health information. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of officers in managing the medical record unit at the Karang Intan 2 primary health care. This method of community service activities is carried out by provided learning about medical records to three medical record officers, then continued with guidance and consultation as well as monitored and evaluation to ensure a change for the better in the management of the medical record unit at the Karang Intan 2 primary health care. The result of this activity was an increased in the knowledge and skills of the medical record unit officers.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in Indonesia. Based on Pathological Based Registration in Indonesia, breast cancer ranks first with a relative frequency of 18.6%. More than 80% of cases are found to be at an advanced stage, in addition as many as 60-70% of breast cancer treatment seekers are already in an advanced stage so treatment is difficult. Therefore it is necessary to understand prevention efforts and early diagnosis so that patient detection can be carried out at an early stage so that it can reduce breast cancer deaths. Breast cancer screening is an examination or attempt to find abnormalities that lead to breast cancer in a person or group of people who have no complaints. The initial attempt to screen for breast cancer is BSE. The purpose of this community service activity is to hold BSE training at SMA Setia Budi Semarang to improve student skills in independent breast examination. The BSE training activities for SMA Setia Budi Semarang students were carried out by providing counseling using the lecture and demonstration method which was held on October 15, 2019. The attendance of participants at the counseling was 47 people. The results of the activities of SMA Setia Budi Semarang students not only require information about breast cancer but also require information on women's reproductive health as a whole.

Abstract

Uneducated of society is one of the obstacles in the prevention of TB. One of the interventions to increase public knowledge is health education or socialization about TB disease. The purpose of the activities was to socialize and screen for TB. The method used socialization of health education about tuberculosis, screening TB for participants and demonstration about cough effectively with a total of 450 students from the Faculty of Tarbiah UNSIQ. The results of the activity showed the enthusiasm of the participants in the socialization and demonstration activities. Screening results showed that 412 without symptoms of TB, 23 were symptomatic and refused to be tested for BTA and 15 populations were symptomatic and willing to do a BTA test. Socialization, screening and demonstrations did effectively.
