Abstract

The title of this research is "figurative language in little mix album glory days” the purpose of this study is to find out what the function of figurative language and to find out the various figurative meanings contained in the lyrics of the album Glory Days. This study used a qualitative method. From the data found there are figurative connections (euphemism: data 1, inverse: data 2 and data 3), opposition (hyperbole: data 8, litotes: data 10), comparison (simile: data 4, metaphor: data 5, personification: data 6 and data 7), and repetition (anactaclasis: data 10), as also find effective meaning(data 2, data 8, data10), connotative meaning(data 4 and data 6), conceptual/denotative(data 2, data 3, data 9), and collective meaning(data 6 and data 7). This album uses dance-pop and tropical house, and the lyrics tell about love, female empowerment, and heartbreak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine overview of baby blues syndrome incidence in postpartum mothers based on sociodemography during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. The type of research conducted is quantitative research with analytical descriptive research method with a cross sectional study approach. The population of this study were all mothers who gave birth to live babies in all provinces in Indonesia in 2019 totaling 4,778,621. The sampling method is using quota sampling. The measuring instrument for post partum blues used in this study is the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). The analysis of this study used univariate and bivariate analysis. Based on the results of the study, there is no relationship between parity and baby blues syndrome. There is a relationship between caregiver assistants and baby blues syndrome. There is a relationship between the place of residence after childbirth and baby blues syndrome. There is no relationship between ethnicity and baby blues syndrome.

Abstract

This research is a literature study on the government policy. This study aims to discuss what efforts can be implemented by street vendors in maintaining their business in the midst of the covid-9 pandemic. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data, which is categorized into two types, namely primary data and secondary data. Sources of data obtained through library research techniques (library study) which refers to sources available both online and offline such as: scientific journals, books and news sourced from trusted sources. The results of the study concluded that PKL Law Enforcement on the Main Street of Taman Pinang Housing, Sidoarjo Regency Law enforcement of street vendors on the Main Street of Taman Pinang Indah Housing was carried out by local SKPD based on applicable regional regulations. These regional regulations include Regional Regulation No. 10 of 2013, Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2016 and the Decree of the Regent of Sidoarjo No. 188/455/404.1.1.3/2017. Obstacles faced by local governments include less intensive policy implementation, less strategic relocation solutions, pressure groups, illegal street vendors who do not want to be relocated, budget constraints.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations to companies on Transformational Leadership to improve employee performance. The research method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the data analysis tool used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The population in this study were all workers in as many as 100 respondents. It is very important to instill the attitude of Transformational Leadership and Organizational Culture in a company because seeing its large role directly affects Organizational Commitment and is able to moderate the influence of the independent variables of Transformational Leadership, Organizational Culture on the dependent variable, namely Employee Performance and Organizational Commitment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze derivational affix in the movie The Gentlemen. The purposes of this research are to find out the types and forms of derivational affix in The Gentlemen movie. The study of derivational affix was interesting to analyze because it affects on the formation of words from simple to complicated. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. In analyzing the data, researcher used the theories about morphology from Haspelmath and Sims (2010), and Lieber (2009). The researcher also used the theories about affixation from Procter (1980). The results of the analysis show there are 133 data types of derivational affix found in The Gentlemen movie consisting: 107 suffixes and 26 prefixes. The dominant of derivational affix in the Gentlemen movie is derivational suffix with the total percentage 78% and then derivational prefixes with the total percentage 22%. Moreover, there are four forms the most derivational affix used in The Gentlemen movie, they are 59 Noun form (44%) then 46 Adjective form (35%), 17 Verb form (13%) and 11 Adverb form (8%).

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the sentence patterns and describe the categories of phrase found in Motivation Mafia’ motivational quotes. The method used in the research was qualitative method which based on non-numerical elements. This research examined 18 motivational quotes which available online. The data in this research were taken from Motivation Mafia Instagram account. The theories for the research refer to: Greenbaum, S. & Nelson, G. (2002) on sentence patterns and phrase categories theories, Radford (2009) on syntactic categories theory, and Aarts (2001) on syntactic functions theory. The results of the research show that there are 4 sentence patterns: 22% of S+V+C, 50% of (S)+V+O+V+O, 11% of S+V+O+Conj+V+O, and 17% of S+V+A+Conj+S+V+O+V+O. Meanwhile, there are 4 categories of phrase found in motivational quotes: 46 % of noun phrases, 28% of verb phrases, 16% of prepositional phrases, and 10% of adjective phrases.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of investment decisions proxied by Capital Expenditure to Book Value Assets (CEP/BVA), funding decisions proxied by Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), and profitability as proxied by Return on Equity (ROE) to value companies that are proxied by Earnings Per Share (EPS) at Islamic commercial banks for the 2015-2020 period. In this study, the data used are secondary data by analyzing 5 (five) samples of financial statements of Islamic commercial banks using purposive sampling method in sampling. The results of this study, it was found that Capital Expenditure to Book Value Assets (CEP/BVA) had a negative and insignificant effect on Earnings Per Share (EPS). While the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) has a positive and significant effect on Earnings Per Share (EPS).

Abstract

This article aims to describe efforts to increase the effectiveness of the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) in improving learning outcomes and improving the quality of Human Resources (HR). The writing of this article uses the literature study method, namely reviewing and researching various literatures related to the topic of the problem being studied. The required data was collected through a contextual study which was then analyzed for its contents. The use of LMS in learning makes it easier for education and training management institutions to improve the learning process, learning can be accessed from various places and unlimited times, and learning can be carried out more simply. The use of LMS also makes learning more flexible in terms of study time and makes students more independent. Instructors can also monitor student activities through the LMS in detail.

Abstract

Today's rapidly changing and complex business environment makes organizational changes common and inevitable as a company strategy to deal with change and to maintain business continuity, competitive advantage and organizational existence. Organizational change has an impact that can be felt by employees and raises various employee attitudes towards the changes that occur. With these conditions, this study wants to explore further how the attitude of employees towards change with a number of factors or variables that influence employee attitudes towards change, namely the factor of trust (trust in the organization and trust in supervisors) and organizational commitment. The research was conducted on organic employees of PT TGI as respondents by distributing questionnaires as a data collection method. Questionnaire data processing analysis used structural equation modeling to determine the effect of employee's trust and attitude toward organizational change using organizational commitment as a mediator. The results showed that the direct relationship between employee's trust (trust in organization and trust in supervisor) on attitude toward organizational change was significant positive. Meanwhile, through organizational commitment, the indirect effect of employee trust on attitudes toward organizational change is also positive and significant.

Abstract

The preparation of financial reporting by an entity needs to consider the users of financial information because it is closely related to the purpose of preparing the financial statements. The law stipulates that the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation must report the financial statements of the Banking Restructuring Program, but does not regulate how these financial statements should be presented. To determine the presentation of the financial statements, it is necessary to perform a user analysis of the financial statements. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research analyzes users and the financial information required from the Banking Restructuring Program. The results of the analysis show that the Banking Restructuring Program has various users of financial statements. Most of these users use the information in the financial statements to assess the accountability of the Banking Restructuring Program.
