Abstract

In this comprehensive research, we delve into an analytical examination of the official statements made by the government concerning the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The primary objective of this investigation is to decipher and understand the nuances of the government's communication to ensure that the general populace is not misinformed or led astray by any ambiguities present in these statements. To lay a theoretical foundation for this analysis, we have employed the principles of semantic studies, which provide valuable insights into the meanings and interpretations of words and sentences.Given the nature of our research, a descriptive methodology has been chosen. This approach is deemed most appropriate because it offers a detailed representation of the collected data. To gather this data, extensive observations were conducted, specifically focusing on the portrayal of government declarations in various mass media outlets. By scrutinizing these pronouncements, we aim to shed light on areas where the government's messaging might be unclear or open to various interpretations. The culmination of this research presents an elucidative account, highlighting the instances and specific terminologies where the government's communication appears ambiguous. This ambiguity, whether intentional or accidental, has the potential to impact public understanding, especially concerning the pressing matter of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our findings underscore the need for precise, clear, and unequivocal communication, particularly in matters of public health and safety.

Abstract

Research writing is the foundation of research reportage and documentation. It is the physical representation of all that the student or researcher must have done and gone through in the process involved in the research proper. It is discovered that students and researchers, especially those in the academia, mix up the processes and sometimes fail to do the right things in the writings. Therefore, a whole lot of junks called research writings in the name of thesis, dissertation, and project come out of the academia. Using the observation method, the paper has deployed pure research (to reappraise and to add to the existing knowledge of students in humanities for better understanding of research), which is under application research type classified by Kumar (2011) as cited in Alabi (2017, p.5). The paper posits that research dissertations, projects, theses in the academia can still follow the laid down rules and regulations. This rests on understanding and implementing all that are entailed in research writing and documentation by those concerned. It is only through thorough and efficient writing, editing, review and documentation processes that written reports can become references for other researchers to access, build upon and use for (human) development and research purposes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the strategic management plan for the Santa Lucia Kindergarten unit in the Medan area, the implementation of the early childhood education management strategy and the results of the strategic management review of early childhood education. In this study used a qualitative descriptive method carried out by field studies. The research was conducted at Santa Lusia Kindergarten in Medan. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that the strategic management process begins with strategic planning at Santa Lusia Kindergarten in Medan or Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats analysis. Based on the Accreditation Standards for the Early Years, there are two standards that do not meet the criteria, namely Standard 4, Standards for Educators and Education Personnel. By using a Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats analysis, it is known that the strength of Santa Lusia Kindergarten in the Medan region lies in its dense population, sources of funding, and opportunities to play and learn. The weakness lies in the incomplete teacher qualifications and limited teaching staff. This opportunity lies in the support of parents, central and regional government support, as well as a conducive school environment. Meanwhile, the challenge lies in the number or addition of other educational institutions around schools and the thinking of the community which is still dynamic. Then planning will be carried out by grouping the offerings according to age, involving teachers in seminars and workshops and adding activities for Santa Lusia Kindergarten students in the Medan area. The implementation of the management strategy consists in the fact that trainers participate in seminars and workshops and improve their activities. Evaluation of strategic management results is very important for the recruitment of training personnel.
