Abstract

The study discusses the relationship between investment decisions, managerial ownership, and firm value in the manufacturing sector. This study points out that the manufacturing sector is a diverse and large-scale sector, yet the average stock price has declined in recent years. This phenomenon is interesting because there are many factors that can affect firm value, including investment decisions and managerial ownership, and previous research has produced inconsistent findings. To address this issue, the author conducted a quantitative research study using path analysis techniques and SmartPLS software version 4.0.8.8 and employed purposive sampling to select a sample. The results of the analysis indicate that investment decisions have no effect on firm value, but investment decisions have a positive effect on managerial ownership. Furthermore, managerial ownership has a positive effect on firm value and plays a positive mediating role in the relationship between investment decisions and firm value. The author acknowledges that the study has limitations, as it only focuses on investment decisions, managerial ownership, and firm value in the manufacturing sector. Future research should consider adding other variables or modifying the research model using moderation. Moreover, examining more than one sector is recommended to generalize the findings.

Abstract

This  study objectives to find out the influence of school literacy movement program and smartphone use on student reading interest in SMKN 2 Padang. Sample from this study were 97 respondents who were students at SMKN 2 Padang. Based on the   partial t test, it can be determined that the variable of school literacy movement and smartphone usage has a significance value of 0,000 < 0.05, The conclusion is that the variables of school literacy movement and the use of smartphones have a positive and significant influence on students' reading interests. Based  on  the  simultaneous  f  test,  it  is obtained a significance value of   0.000 < 0.05, the conclusion of the school literacy movement program and the overall use of smartphones had a significant influence on student reading interests. The amount of influence of the independent  variable  on  the  dependent  variable  is 69.6%,  the  remaining  30.4%  is  influenced  by  variables other than the research model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Tax Planning, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Net Profit Margin (NPM) as a moderating variable on Profit Management. This research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This type of research is quantitative research, the population in this study are consumer goods manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2020, with a sample of 33 companies. The type of data in this research is quantitative data. Technique analysis in this research uses multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The test results show that Tax Planning positively affects earnings management, while Corporate Social Responsibility has a negative effect on earnings management. The MRA test results show that NPM cannot be used as a moderating variable between tax planning and CSR on earnings management.Keywords:  earnings management, corporate social responsibility net profit margin, tax planning

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how consumer purchasing decisions at KFC Veteran Padang City Branch are influenced by physical evidence, reliability and responsiveness. This research is correlational research with a quantitative approach. In this study, data was obtained by filling out questionnaires and interviews. This research used 100 respondents as samples using the Simple Random Sampling technique. This research uses multiple regression analysis to analyze the data and uses SPSS 21 to process the data. The main results are: 1). Tangible variables (X1) have a significant effect on purchasing decisions 2). The reliability variable does not have a significant influence on purchasing decisions, 3). The responsiveness variable does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Based on the simultaneous F test, the variables physical evidence, reliability and responsiveness influence purchasing decisions at KFC Veteran Branch. The results of the R square test can be explained by the independent variable, namely 30% of purchasing decisions and the remaining 70% can be explained by other variables not included in this research model.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to rephrase the goals of the study as follows:1) The Effect of school environment to the discipline of learning of SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu, 2) The Effect of Self Awareness to  the discipline of learning of SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu, 3) The  curiosity in Learning to the discipline of learning of SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu.  This study employs a quantitative approach using the descriptive methodology. The all of students at SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu constituted the study's population. This study's sample comprised students belonging to the VII and IX grades. In this study, a purposive sampling method was employed for sample selection.  The method utilized for analyzing the data involved multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The research instrument used a Questionnaire instrument with a Likert Scale.  Derived from the study's outcomes, it shows that the school environment, self-awareness and interest in learning simultaneously affect the learning discipline of students at SMP Negeri 1 Banuhampu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of Covid-19 on company performance on the Indonesian stock exchange, particularly the consumer cyclicals and consumer non-cyclicals sectors in 2017-2021. The sample of this study is the consumer cyclicals and consumer non-cyclicals sectors with 120 issuer and selected using with purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used is panel data regression analysis using Stata. The results show that (1) Covid-19 pandemic has a negative impact on the performance in the consumer cyclicals than on non-cyclicals consumer sectors, (2) when the firm’s investment scale is smaller, the negative impact of COVID-19 pandemic on firm performance is not more pronounced, (3) the negative impact of COVID-19 pandemic on firm performance is not more pronounced, if a firm’s sales revenue is less.
