Abstract

This study aims to locate goat farms in the Limapuluh Kota District. Both primary and secondary data are used. The main information was obtained by answering a questionnaire to count the houses owned by goat farmers and the number of goats. Stratified selection of responders. After that, secondary information was gathered from the Limapuluh Kota Regency's Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Service, Central Agency on Statistic Limapuluh Kota Regency, Regional Planning Agency of Limapuluh Kota Regency, Geospatial Information Agency, and other relevant organizations. ArcGIS version 10.9 was used to conduct the analysis as a spatial analysis using a Geographic Information System (GIS) methodology. The findings show that Limapuluh Kota Regency has 79 districts and 13 sub-districts. There are 6,483 households dedicated to goat breeding and 29,867 goat animals in 77 of the 79 districts, which have goat farms. As a result, it can be concluded that there are goat farms in every subdistrict of Limapuluh Kota Regency. Furthermore, it is clear that the atmosphere in Limapuluh Kota Regency is conducive to goat farming, as evidenced by the fact that goat farms can be found virtually everywhere in the region. It may be said that there is a great deal of room for further development of goat farms. Keywords : Goat Breeders; Goat Population; Spatial Analysis

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the semen quality of pesisir cattle was after the addition of trehalose to egg yolk tris diluent. The research material in the form of fresh semen was obtained from pesisir cattle aged approximately 4 years and the quality of the semen had been tested by observing the quality of fresh semen before dilution.. This study used a randomized block design with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment given was the addition of trehalose in egg yolk tris diluent. The treatment given consisted of control, the addition of trehalose 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5%. The variables in this study included motility, viability, intact plasma membrane (MPU), and intact acrosome cap (TAU) of spermatozoa of pesisir cattle. The results of this study indicated that the addition of trehalose had a significant effect (p<0.05) on the viability, MPU, TAU, and did not show a significant effect (p>0.05) on the motility of spermatozoa of pesisir cattle. The results of this study indicated that the dose of trehalose addition of 1.5% in egg yolk tris diluent showed the best results on the quality of spermatozoa of pesisir cattle, where motility was found to be 53%, viability 61%, MPU 63%, and TAU 63%. Abstract

This study aims to determine to what extent, the role of monochromatic light then being fed turmeric additives has an impact on the blood profile and body weight gain of Pitalah ducks. The material used was 100 Pitalah ducklings. The method used was an experiment with the Split Plot method arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The treatment started on day 15 and the duration of the study was 10 weeks. The treatment given is the main plot factor is monochromatic lighting consisting of yellow light as a control, blue, red, green. Subplot factor, namely turmeric consisting of B1: 18 gr and B2: 16 gr. The experimental results showed that the interaction between factor A (light) and factor B (turmeric) had no significant effect (P>0.05) on blood profile and body weight gain in Pitalah ducks. The conclusion of this study is that the administration of monochromatic light (yellow, blue, red, green) with turmeric levels (18 gr and 16 gr) has no interaction on blood profile (leukocytes & erythrocytes) and body weight gain in pitalah ducks. In this condition, leukocyte values ​​ranged from 18.39 to 73.51 (103 /mm-3 ) and erythrocyte values ​​from 18.39 to 73.5 (103 /mm-3 ), both of these values ​​were in a less normal range so that it can be indicated that the health condition of the ducks is not prime. Subsequently, body weight gain was obtained 63.58 - 78.16 grams/tails/week. Keywords: Monochromatic light, turmeric, blood profile, body weight gain and Pitalah ducks
