Abstract

Establishing the concept of a mufassir is an important issue that greatly influences the understanding of the character of those who perform tafsir as well as the criteria and distinctive features of their work. This discussion is also related to determining the levels of mufassir and the criteria that distinguish who belongs to this category and who does not. Unfortunately, this concept has not received adequate attention in heritage studies, and contemporary efforts to explore this issue are still limited and often face various challenges. This article aims to present a critical analysis in formulating the concept of mufassir, so that the forms of tafsir work that qualify someone to be recognized as a mufassir can be identified. Furthermore, this article will discuss the categorization of mufassir and provide a general explanation of their levels based on the methods they employ. This research is based on library study with a critical analytical approach. Among the results of this research, there are two main points:(1) The work of tafsir has various forms and does not exist at the same level, which generally includes various categories such as author of tafsir works, explainer of the difference between correct and weak understandings, compiler of tafsir materials, summarizer of tafsir works, explainer of tafsir works, teacher of tafsir, and transmitter of tafsir; (2) The use of the term mufassir allows for a lot of tolerance, where generally mufassir can be categorized into two groups, namely practical mufassir and participatory mufassir

Abstract

One of the consequences of rape is unwanted pregnancy, which may lead to both psychological and physical distress, often resulting in the desire to undergo an abortion. According to the 2023 Indonesian Penal Code (KUHP) and the opinion of the Hanafi school of thought, abortion is permissible before the pregnancy reaches 14 weeks or 120 days. In contrast, under the 2009 Health Law and the Shafi'i school of thought, abortion is only allowed before 6 weeks or 40 days of gestation. This discrepancy calls for further examination to determine the most appropriate legal threshold for abortion in rape cases, from both the perspectives of positive law and Islamic jurisprudence. This study employs a qualitative method with a comparative approach, utilizing literature review and document analysis of statutory law, classical Islamic legal texts, and relevant medical literature. It also applies the principle of hifz al-nafs (protection of life) as a normative foundation. The findings reveal that the 2023 revision of the Penal Code, which extends the permissible period for abortion from 6 to 14 weeks, aligns with the majority of Islamic scholars who permit abortion before 120 days of gestation. Nonetheless, abortion before 40 days is preferable to avoid legal controversy and reduce medical risks and psychological trauma. This study recommends harmonizing national laws, medical ethics, and Islamic legal principles to ensure substantive justice and optimal protection for victims of sexual violence

Abstract

One alternative treatment for diabetes is honey therapy. Honey contains sufficient water content and moisture levels that do not support bacterial growth and development. The purpose of this study is to examine the application of honey therapy for diabetes treatment within the living hadith framework. This research employs an observational process that includes monitoring locations and activities occurring in social contexts. Interviews were conducted using a structured guide to record relevant data. The collected data was then analyzed through an interactive method, which includes data reduction, data presentation, as well as drawing conclusions and verification. The research results indicate that honey therapy within this living hadith context can serve as an alternative treatment for healing diabetic wounds
